We stopped on our way out of town to grab a quick bite on a Thursdau around 7:30 pm. We went in to order and I'm always surprised by how long a takeout meal takes if you decide to not go through the drive thru 10 minutes just seems too long. Now I've lived in Texas since 1984 and I have never had a whataburger. Yep, not a one. Having said this I was not prepared for the mandatory mustard option. Had I been aware I would have declined as I am not a fan. Hubs loved his burger and ate in 5 minutes declaring it excellent. I also ordered onion rings which were good. So here's the reason for my three stars. Long wait for take out order, mustard madness and apparently their was some type of personnel issue and what looked to be two general managers were sitting in the dining room addressing it in the dining area. I just wonder why that wasn't addressed outside of patron's earshot. It did provide for some voyeristic entertainment during our wait. I can't say I'll be jumping on the whataburger band wagon anytime soon. read more

Then when I got to the window the young lady working the window did not listen twice when I asked for certain items, i lost my patience then and just drove off without what I completely wanted. Went to this Whataburger location yesterday. There was a long line, and I knew there'd probably be a decent wait, which I figured was most likely due to the ice storm. I was okay with a little wait since I was craving Whata after being cooped up for a few days. I ordered the #13 meal, which comes with chicken strips, a dipping sauce of choice, fries, and Texas toast. Finally, I reached the window to pay and receive my food. They handed me my chicken strip box, to which I checked before driving off (trust me, I've learned to ALWAYS check my food). I noticed there was no Texas toast in my box. I got the worker's attention at the window and let him know that I did not receive any toast in my box. He closed the window, turned away for two seconds, then opened the window back up and said, "Oh, we're out of toast." I had already paid and had no other choice but to simply say, "Oh, okay" and drive away. It'd be completely different if the staff had the decency to inform me they were out of toast when I was ordering a meal that came with toast. They did not. I was still charged the same amount when I was unable to receive part of my order. Yeah, it's just toast, and I certainly don't want to be petty -- but I do want what I pay for. The least they could do is let me know they were out so that I wasn't expecting it when I received my order. To think that they were just going to let me drive off with part of my order missing without even telling me nor letting me know why doesn't sit right with me. Lastly, as I mentioned, I know there was an ice storm, so I understand it being busy. However, the fact that I waited 30 minutes for part of my order to not even be there is crazy to me. This location is the closest to me, so I've been several times, and they are notorious for taking 20+ minutes every single time. Giving 3 stars because the food still tastes good. I just want to make it known that management needs to do better and train staff to inform customers when items are unavailable. It's common courtesy. read more

Always open and welcoming. This location is pretty great, I've never gotten a wrong order or had any problems. Sometimes they can be a little slow but it hasn't really been a problem. I like that they don't charge you for sauce like other locations around DFW... I mean other places charge you and then don't even give you the sauce... Need I say more? This location had absolutely nothing we wanted to order, no Dr Pepper, no sweet tea, no honey mustard, no root beer, no large or medium cups. It took 20 minutes to move up one car space and we ended up having to cancel the order because of their lack of menu items. This location is poorly managed and would not recommend stopping on a long road trip. read more

So let me start with I LOVE WHATABURGER! However, this location has issues. In the evenings, they are about the same as the rest, but in the morning and during lunchtime you might as well not even bother ordering from the app. It is like they just ignore those orders in favor of the drive thru. I always use the app to order for accuracy, but several times I have ordered from this location and when I get there, I still wait 20-30 minutes for my order. This morning I ordered ONE taquito and a large drink at 6:55am, I left with my ONE taquito at 7:27am and was late to work. Meanwhile, I see people drive into the parking lot, order in the drive thru and leave with their order. Every time this happens, they give the same excuse: "someone came through and ordered like $100 worth of food and slowed us down" however, this mystery order never came out where I could see. Imagine my luck that every time I choose this Whataburger, this $100+ order always gets there right before I do! I would recommend the Roanoke location, at least they don't make excuses for bad service! read more

I reversed to pull up again so it would notify the worker, they came on and I explained what happened- the person obviously doesn't care about their mistake. They take my order, I pull up behind the 4 cars that have not moved since 7:00 AM. Wait.. wait... wait... it's now 7:15 AM and I haven't even paid. I would have been crazy not to drive away and go to Starbucks instead where I was in/out in less than 10 minutes. I seriously don't understand how this Whataburger could be so bad. We've lived in the area since May. Every time my husband and I go our order is wrong. I'm not over exaggerating when I say every time. In addition to my order being wrong I have to wait at least 20 minutes in the drive-through line. There have been times where I have waited almost 45 minutes in the drive-through line and my order was wrong. They do fix it every time which I am thankful for but it's ridiculous. I've been trapped in the drive thru LITERALLY have not moved since I made my order at the speaker 49 minutes ago. People are behind me and beside me in a second lane with four cars ahead in both. People are honking and losing it because we're trapped and nothing is happening at the window. I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was passed along and a guy said "yah" so I told him people were getting out of their cars and knocking on windows, yelling and honking and that he should come out and wave cars through so the ppl who just want to leave can leave and then those who still want to wait can circle back around and get back in line in the same order. He refused and said they were making food as fast as they could and people chose to wait in the drive thru. Then he hung up. It's almost a full hour now. I always order the same thing - two breakfast Taquitos with potato and cheese, some has browns and maybe a drink. I always use the very easy to use app on my phone to order it while I'm at work and then drive there on my break. I'll sit in the pick up parking lot and check in using the app. It will sometimes take a bit longer than the app predicts for my order to be given to me, but a few minutes isn't too bad when I've got yummy food! read more
