I went in today around noon as a walk in customer, I go to order at the register and everything was great until my order was wrong, which I understand accidents happen but that's not why I'm rating one star, the manager CARLTON was very rude and dismissive of me and even went as far to roll his eye, and huff at me. All I wanted was my order fixed and he made me feel like I didn't deserve the time of day. I will not come back to this location ever again specifically because of his unprofessional attitude. Ah, Whataburger Unit 501. I've been coming to this location for about 25 years (yeah, i'm old, deal with it). Even had a summer job here when I was 17 at the drive-thru. A mainstay on Saturday nights for me at 3am when I'm on my way home. Everyone is always polite and friendly, and food is consistent. Due to the 290 expansion, they have torn down the old building, and re-building a new building set further back (there is signage everywhere mentioning this). I hope it's operational again soon, and they can replicate the same quality. Here is a measure of why this location is better: the biscuits. I don't know what they do differently than other locations, but they're always soft and fluffy here. Other Whataburgers they can be hard and dried out. But this location gets them just right. Been coming here about 5 years now, first bad experience today. Placed order and waited and waited, so went to check on it. Not even being prepared until I brought it to their attention. No ice in machine either, got cashier to get some for me from back. Also noticed other customers having to ask for ice after I had already reported it. Simply put, other burger joints & chains wish they were Whataburger. Never have I been disappointed with a reheated anything & the fries are probably the closest thing to unicorn milk that can be found. I have no favorite item as they have so many divine choices, that there's a burger or sandwich to fit whatever mood I'm in whenever. NO OTHER RESTAURANT DOES THIS as well as Whataburger does. Every time I come here I wait WAY too long in the drive-thru. I thought ordering with the app would be better but every time I end up sitting there after checking in for no less than 25 minutes. They try to make it up by giving me an apple pie EVERY TIME. I don't want an apple pie. I was my damn order in a timely manner. It should never take more than 20 minutes. Especially when everyone in the lane beside me is getting their food. This is ridiculous. I do not recommend coming here if you don't have 30 minutes. This place rocks! The manager, Simona is all about customer service! These guys made me feel like a rockstar!! I had a crazy morning and was not able to get breakfast and was in the mood for a chorizo Rito. I called this water burger location and Simona answered. They have messed up my order 3 times in a row when I go to this location in the drive thru. Make sure you check your bag for what you have paid for. They made me pull forward to wait for my meal and once I checked the bag the worker was already inside so I had to pull around and go inside to tell them they messed up my order and heard me incorrectly through the speaker about a different item. They fixed the problem but it's just bothersome knowing my orders always come out incorrect although the details are on the receipt and paper on the bag. read more

Color me shocked! I received a phone call from this store's manager at about 4PM that very day. He asked me what happened, then apologized profusely and sincerely. We ended talking for about 10 minutes, in which he told me he had a one-hour discussion with Glaring Woman and she remembered the incident. She said the order probably got mixed up in the line and she was not aware she had given me a dirty look but "would be much more conscious of her facial expressions and interactions in general from now on". He asked me to please give them another chance because all of their customers are very important to them and he never wants someone to walk away dissatisfied. Whataburger is by far my personal favorite chain burger place. This location has good quality and good service. The prices are a little high for fast food but the portions are large and the burgers as good as most sit down restaurants. i usually frequent this location because its down the street from my neighbor hood which makes driving to whataburger fast and easy for my very busy schedule.Im able to place my order with ease ,comes as expected hot ,cooked right with the right ingredients.As far as customer service its a 8/10 .Would be nice if the owner or frenchisee was able to give out more ketchup instead of the limited amount thats given to a customer.All in all its acceptable place to order your food and grab it and take it home and enjoy .Hopefully, in the near future they can provide more ketchup especially when buying a large complete meal . read more

I eat at whataburger three or four times a week me and my wife triedthis whataburger for the first time and by far hands down they are the best one around. There are three in the area and they all suck which I'd why we stopped eating there. The food and service was bad, but this whataburger is clean, the staff always has a smile on there face and the food was made fast, fresh and accurate. Everyone should go and try them even if it is a little bit more of a drive it is well worth it. This particular store #501 at 17234 NW Fwy in Jersey Village [Houston] TX has THE BEST SMILES AND ATTITUDE! I wish they could bottle their cheeriness and pass it to the negative drive-thru people such as KFC and Popeye's and Jack in the Box. I eat through my car window a lot, and it's become rarer to have a pleasant experience. This Whataburger goes the extra mile and always always seems like they want to help me however they can, and they always ask if there's anything else they can help me with, thank you so much. This Whataburger, in particular, is the best one we've ever been too. We love their burgers, chicken sandwiches, and the breakfast is just stellar. The breakfast is always hot, high quality, and less than half, or a third, the cost of regular breakfast places. You can get two breakfast platters, and an orange juice and milk, for around thirteen dollars in the morning. This Whataburger is Jersey Village's best kept secret. The owner is just awesome, and the staff are the best we've ever seen at any Whataburger in Texas. If the owner(s) of the actual, Texas/Corpus Christi, based Whataburger chain actually walked into his unit here, and had breakfast, he or she would be so proud that they'd quickly put a huge plaque on the wall naming this the Whataburger of the year, and it would be completely justified.
