I've had whataburger in Texas and thought it was good but not great. However there's something about Vegas fast food that is just done right, and now I get the hype of whataburger. The patty melt is my go-to and this one at was so dang good. One of my favorite bites of the whole trip. The patty melt is double patty, Texas toast, grilled onions, and it was a perfect snack. The fries were just ok but the variety of sauces they offer definitely make up for it. Great Buffalo, ranch, spicy sauce, all with the extra 40 cents per. Best part is that they are open til 3am, plenty of seating, and quick/prompt service. Great meal for under $20 in Vegas. read more

When we drove into Vegas, my boyfriend pointed out Whataburger and I quite literally screamed. Being a Texas girl living in Utah, I CRAVE Whataburger. We parked at the Linq and walked allllll the way here. It was a very long walk. But so worth it! Prices are definitely a LOT higher than Texas. We paid a little over 34$ for two #4 meals. The food was pretty good, but of course not as good as the OG's. (Terrell, Texas is the best in my own honest opinion) I'm so glad they had the orange cups and the Jalapeño ranch cups. Great food! I had whataburger in Dallas and so far this has it beat! This place was my go to breakfast burger while I was in Vegas during my last trip. And by breakfast burger I mean a delicious regular burger for breakfast! I ordered a hamburger, fries, and onion rings every time. My family raves about Whataburger and we have heard the debates between this and in n out so decided we needed to try it. As soon as my flight landed this was our first stop. The place is right on the strip next to Waldorf and looks very cool inside. There is also a pizza place combined. We ordered regular burgers and do have to say it was good. Our first time in along time trying Whataburger and was not even the slightest impressed. When we arrived there were a few people inside, some eating already and a few waiting for their orders. We ordered 2 burger meals with fries, 1 banana pudding shake and a spicy chicken sandwich meal with onion rings. For fast food it didn't live up to its name, we waited over 15 minutes to get it and to be so underwhelmed, such a disappointment. When we left after eating, there were more people waiting for their food than eating (and they did not look happy). To top it off, our food was almost $60! I heard so much about the Whataburger and never had one, and since I was on the strip meeting a client, decided to try it as it was on my way to the parking garage. Well all I can tell you is that if that is a represntation of the company, you will not see me again. 3 out of 6 kiosk order were out of service. We tried to put our order 4 times and would not process it. I tried to get the attention of some one but that was the impossible task as only two people spoke english in the entire place. Thank goodness Karina was at the counter and she offered to take the order the old fashion way. The restaurant was exteemly dirty. No napkings in the dispensers, 4 tables that were open were dirty beyond one's imagination. Music was so loud you could not hear anything. The food was not even close to acceptable. Karina deserves 5 stars but the rest not even one. The two photos are the ones I choose to post as the bathroom odor was so bad you can smell it from the outside. Loved the service at this location. This was my first time having Whataburger and was excited to try. Food came out fresh and hot. Love that they had skinny fries. I enjoyed the burger but didn't know that it had mustard on it so I didn't finish my burger. There was also a wing place attached and the wings were great!! I gave 3stars because if you are a person that don't really eat whatever meat they use you will get a little stomach issues. On our fast food quests, this was on my husband's food bucket list. I have already been to Texas and was not as keen on trying as much as going to In and Out, but we did happen to find ourselves here. He enjoyed it and found it a well seasoned burger. I also thought it was decent. But, nothing special. He thought it was better than McDonald's. I found it similar to a Carl's. I would not be opposed to eating a Whataburger again, but I do prefer other places. The good thing though about this location is that it is also a pizza slice place. So, you can get a burger and a slice and some complimentary ice water and a nice restroom. You can also find a lot of nice seating and a cute bar where they offer plenty of large TV's playing sports to catch up on a game. It is a great place to bring a family if the kids are hungry and the parents want to relax with a drink. These are important facts to know in an overpriced, excessively hot tourist town where you might now be able to find places to rest in between walking up and down the strip. read more

I really love whataburger! Since we don't have in ATL, we stop by in any state we go to. This is pretty much like any whataburger but it also has a pizza place attached and you it's a 2 story building with a bar. Everyone was really nice they are just really slow. You can see them in the kitchen putting together the orders and it just looks like endless confusion. It is took longer to have my wife's burger remade (it wasn't correct but that's not their fault because she's a picky eater and I'm used to her custom orders never being correct lol) than it took to have the original order made. It's not fair that the internet and television shows overall have ruined things for us. Almost taunting us in a way. Showing us the things that we may never be able to enjoy in our lifetimes. Like a fast food restaurant that people from Texas might fight you over if you talk bad about it. How am I supposed to experience something that isn't nationwide? Yes, I'm aware that I could have planned a trip to somewhere within the companies footprint, but I don't do vacations or work trips like that...until now. I knew I was coming to Vegas for a work trip and because of TikTok I knew that they just opened a Whataburger location. I'm not going to lie, when I come to Vegas I hit up the fast food options that I don't have access to. When I saw that this was now available, I put it on my itinerary. After landing, checking in, unpacking, it was time for lunch and to grab some food. I convince my colleague that flew in with me to venture here. It was a brisk Vegas walk, but we made it here. And it was glorious. All y'all that have had Whataburger before, take pity on me. I had no idea what I was in for or how to order. Once I was able to take the menu in I approached the counter and placed my order. I felt confident in what I got and was given a number and cup. I got my drink and found a place at a communal table to wait for my food to arrive. This was the only thing that wasn't great, but doesn't detract from my experience. The amount of time it took for my food to come out. There were people that had ordered after me that were getting there food, including my colleague. When it did come out, my number was clearly sitting in front of me, but the employee kept yelling the name 'Josh,' my name is 'Matt' :/ Of course I'm not going to answer her. But my food finally got to me. I got the Whatameal and decided to add onion rings to my order as well. I think the onion rings is what might have kept my meal from arriving to me at a decent time. The burger looked like the size of a competitor, but this thing tasted so much better. It also felt fresher with the toppings. The lettuce, tomato and onions added a crispness to it that made it taste so good. That burger was huge and I don't think I have ever had a burger like that from a fast food chain ever. Pairing it with the shoestring fries, amazing. The onion rings, some of the best I have ever had at a fast food place. Think DQ onion rings, not BK onion rings, but a better crunch and overall taste. I appreciated that they gave you two types of ketchup for dipping as well. The regular run of the mill ketchup and then their spicy ketchup. My colleague and I both decided that that was the better of the two. I believe we were here during opening week for the spot, which meant that not everything was up and running in here. I lived in San Antonio , Texas in 1989 to 1992 when I moved here. I never ate at a Whataburger there because my coworkers and friends said it was not a big deal and they were always in the sketchy areas. Well , since they opened a place here , one of my coworkers and I decided to give it a try. This place looks ten times better than the ones I saw in Texas. It was clean and we were in there late so they had the top floor closed off and were cleaning it. We both got the Double Hamburger , Fries and Onion Rings to share , he got a Strawberry Shake and I got a Soda. We both agreed the burger tasted a lot like Freddy's , but a bigger and thicker burger with that mustard standing out in the taste which I don't mind at all. My friend said his shake was really good and I was surprised he at all his burger , the shake , and fries with onion rings. Of course we waddled out to walk down the Strip. I ate probably 2/3 of my burger and was full. I will wait till they open more locations off the Strip to try more items. I really want to try the Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Breakfast Biscuit. They look really good , especially the Chicken Breakfast Biscuit. I think of course the price is a little high , but that is probably because it is on the Strip. The burger was just okay for me , but very filling. I would say I like it a little better than In-n-Out , but I only go there about once a year. I don't like their fresh cut fries at all and the burgers are too salty so I ask for no salt. I don't do that at any other burger place. Whataburger Fries were okay , but the Onion Rings were a total disappointment like the ones you buy at the grocery store and the generic ones at that. Habit has the best Onion Rings. This location also has a Pizza Place attached to it and they sell alcohol. They have several frozen drinks and at least 8 beer taps. I think they will do well at this location. My friend was visiting from out of town and was craving whataburger (we are originally from Texas so Whataburger was a staple). First off this is the nicest whataburger compared to any in Texas (makes sense it's on the strip). Perfection! Second time to this location. We are vegas transplants by way of Texas, so whataburger is a staple for us. The food was fresh and came quickly, the service, both times, was friendly and accommodating, and the general aura of the place was positive and joyful. They had some live music going on upstairs as well as workers constantly around cleaning up and keeping the place tidy and enjoyable. We look forward to returning! read more

This location definitely has some kinks to work out, but the food was really good. Parking was a bit of a hassle, as we couldn't find the entrance other than in the pickup area of the Waldorf Astoria. The location being combined with Perry's Taphouse seems a little like a nightmare, as the workers are trained on two businesses rather than one. They seem a little frantic and overworked, even at 2pm on a Tuesday. The cashier who rang me up for a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit didn't realize it was only served during certain times so the line cooks lost my order somehow. I had tossed my receipt so I had to meet with the manager and reorder it, totaling an hour of extra wait time. Megan was really nice to me and gave me a coupon/souvenir, but I wound up getting in trouble at work for the extra hour my food took. The sodas at the soda machine are really flat, as well. They just taste "off". Other than that, our food was pretty good. It isn't quite as amazing as Texas, but that's to be expected. It's quite pricey so I hope they increase the quality of service and iron out some kinks soon. read more

Many times I have heard people saying good things about Whataburger, and I have decided to finally go there and try it myself. This Whataburger is located on Las Vegas Blvd, right front of the Waldorf Astoria, at City Center. It has entrances from the Strip and from the back side, from the Waldorf Astoria side too. The two stories restaurant is huge! It has a giant bar area in the middle, with full liquor bar. Upstairs, in the lounge, many small tables with lounge chairs, lots of tv-s everywhere! People are grabbing a quick bite, and cocktails too while watching their favorite games. Whataburger has an automated ordering system available for faster service! I decided to order at the counter because I never been here before and I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. I ordered the #2 meal which was a double burger with fries and drink. I also added cheese from the menu. After waiting for a while, I heard my name was called. On the plate, it was a burger and nothing else. I told the employee that I ordered the meal. He looked at my receipt and walked back to the kitchen. Few minutes later he returned with the fresh fries. Cashier already gave me the cup for the soda machine. After sitting down, I realized there were no napkins on the plate. Walked back to the counter and asked for napkins. Then finally I sat down and ate. The burger was nothing special. As a matter of fact, it was tasteless. The added (2) slices of cheese was not melted enough and I didn't like it. My meal was not good at all. I think Whataburger is overrated! The menu clearly says jr meals have a fries and drink included. They charged me one jr double cheese burger for $13.50. A regular sized double cheeseburger was $12.50. So I assumed a drink and fry were included because the price is more expensive. But no. A tiny little burger with nothing else was $13.50. When brought up to the staff they said that was just how it was and if we wanted a drink and fry we would have to refund the meal and pay more for a meal even though on menu it says it's included in the jr. Which we did because $13 for a tiny burger is ridiculous. Even on DoorDash which upcharges highly it was cheaper than what they were charging me! $11 on doordash but charging me $13 in person. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was so cold the cheese wouldn't melt and the "avocado" was so salty it made the cheeseburger inedible. Oh, and the bacon was so undercooked as to be rubbery. We have been to Whataburger in Houston, then Phoenix and now pleased it's now here in Vegas. Funny thing is the burgers don't look that appealing but they are good. Although it's known for the beef burgers we are happy they have chicken options. The milkshakes are good as well. The locals are asking for a couple locations around the city so we don't have to drive to the strip plus meals would be less costly.
