Went through the drive-through window at about 6:25pm on Sunday, September 19th. Bad enough that the drive through took me twenty minutes to get through and there was only one car ahead of me! But when I got home (maybe a five minute drive), our two burgers were both COLD and dry. I had requested mayo on my cheeseburger. They gave me catsup and NO CHEESE! The fries were also cold. I ate my onion rings on the way home. They were hot but barely fried and very light in color. The young man at the window was courteous. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. "Arriving at wha TAB urger" is what our GPS announced as we wheeled into the parking lot at our first Whataburger in over a year. You see, we've been away from Texas since December of 2011 and haven't been in the proximity of our favorite fast food in a long, long time. It's good to be back! How is it that Whataburger can hire and train employees to be friendly, courteous and personable while the rest of the fast-food world seems content to employ people who are dirtly, nasty and don't speak English very well? It's a mystery. This Whataburger, like every other Whataburger we've been to. We had fast, friendly service and hot, tasty food. The restaurant is clean and appears to be well-run. Tables are bussed promptly after patrons leave, floors and kept swept and counters and soft-drink stations are tidy. Their style of burger might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like 'em. Whataburger remains the only fast food restaurant that I will go out of my way for. read more

Nothing much has changed since my last review. Even my wife agrees that Whataburger burgers are crap. So disappointed as used to be my favorite burger for over 40 years. This location doesn't deserve to be called Whataburger. I can deal with the consistent crap attitude you get here for the deliciousness of a Whataburger but hardy ever have I gotten a fresh hot meal here. Today, after 15 min of waiting, I went up to check the status of my order. I visited this burger location on Friday October 6th. This is what my granddaughter was craving Whataburger. We ordered via the drive thru. There was a really nice guy taking orders at t the window. I was very specific as to what I wanted and after driving off and making it onto the highway, NOTHING was right! The burger had NO cheese, NO mayo, it had pickles, the fries were cold and the drink we ordered without ice-HAD ICE. Im still a bit confused by the name....it is a question, "What? A Burger?" or is it a statement, "What a Burger!!!" Either way, we don't have Wataburgers in Milwaukee, WI so it was necessary to stop. It is your typical fast food burger joint. Nothing fancy, other than maybe the size of the burger. At least twice as big as a normal fast food one. Making the statement "What a Burger!" seem like the best option. No need to look for a condiment table, because when you food is brought out to you the server has a handy tray of all the fixins you need (there is that Texas accent again). Would I go back? Maybe if I was ever in the south again. Not sure they would go over too well up here in Milwaukee, WI with all of the other similar burger joints we have. read more

Night crew is the slowest in the lone star state. Takes 32 minutes to get a burger and 3 chicken strips. Night crew is rude and stand off-ish. I get it's late but 24 hour should mean 24 hour, not including the hour alone it takes to get from the menu to the window. I was going through the drive-through at this Whataburger and since my birthday is in a couple days we asked them "do y'all do anything special for birthdays?" And they said "not that I know of." I didn't think anything of it and then when we got to the first window a different employee came over and said " is it one of y'all's birthdays?" When I said "yes" he said "well we can sing to you if you want." He then proceeded to bring over to other employees and they sang happy birthday to me through the window. I love Whataburger. I love just about everything on their menu. I would give a perfect score on this review except for one thing: the restaurant can be dirty/messy during the lunch hours and be really gross. I avoid eating inside because last time there were 10-15 flies in the dining area. I am not exaggerating. There were about 4 hovering around our table last time we were there. Staff was busy during the lunch rush and they probably didn't notice until later. This one experience was enough to scare me off and I will not be dining in there again. read more

This water burger used to be unique, with cozy booths and Texas decor. A great place for a late night snack breakfast or lunch. Tonight we walked in to find the place converted to a monotone gray and remodeled to look more like a prison dining hall than a restaurant. Service has become more unfriendly lately, but we tolerated it because the atmosphere was worth the trip. Tonight however, upon seeing this austere new look, we turned around and left. Sad to say I have had a bad experience at this whataburger location. Usually whataburger stays reliant and efficient. I had to wait 30 minutes to get a burger with fries,because it turned out they forgot to make the burger. It wasn't until I talked to them that they started to make it. Ok this location really needs to be investigated by corporate.. I've gone to this location for the last time in my life... I got a dub cheese burger with no onions and added jalapeños with onions rings and a dp, a chicken strip meal with fries, and a kids cheese burger with just ketchup and pickles and fries.. Easy enough, right..? well the people here felt other wise about it, my meal the dub CHEESEBURGER had no cheese, had pickles and just jalapeños... that's it... wth!?! STILL GREAT! Went there Sunday 7-2-2017 about 8:00 AM after losing my patience at McDonalds McKinney in the next block. Greeted at the door. Took my order in 2 minutes with no upsell. Courteous counter help. Total was less than similar breakfast at MCD with MCD discount coupon. Sat down. In minutes server brought breakfast order and condiments. It was exactly s ordered. Delicious Sausage breakfast sandwich. Bigger patty than MCD. Good coffee (not bitter like MCD) Whataburger is one of my favorite burger places in the Dallas are. The other is Carl's Junior. Short menu and trained help means fast service. I wish Whataburger would go national. It would be welcome when traveling. read more
