I have probably tried every single burger on their menu and Rodeo Goat is a classic, high quality, go-to burger spot for me. I have came here with family and friends visiting, I have ordered this for takeout countless times. Rodeo Goat is where it's at I'll be talking about the 2 most recent burgers I tried - The brisket beef attacked my arteries in the best way - the brisket melts in your mouth (overshadows the beef though). This is the meatiest burger I've ever had from here. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so the sugar bomb is the most frequently ordered burger for me (maybe 10+ times?). I really enjoy the arugula mixed in with grilled peaches, a bit of jam and the party itself. I love this burger and I hope it never leaves the menu. I want to love this place. I really do, but with so many nice or better burger options available, I'm just going to say I will choose somewhere that offers medium rare burgers or hits high on the napkins quotient (as in, how messy and greasy it - the more, the better). Rodeo Goat seems more of a schtick theme. We started with the "Steaming Pile," which is basically characterized as bacon-cheese tots with additional goat cheese & a sunny side up egg. The egg was properly cooked. The portion was small for $10. It's really not a shareable size for more than two light eaters. There was zero hint of truffle oil. The Cowboy Cobb salad was a healthy portion, and all was good except for two things: the "jalapeño croutons" were not crispy in any way - they were like what would happen if a mushy hush puppy and tempura batter had a love child and it wrapped itself around an uncivilized jalapeño trying to socially climb. The second was that the burger patty had no cheese (why bother?) & I know it was an add-on. I ordered the Inspector Clousseau. Not much of a smash on the over-cooked patties. And, yes, I know what to expect from smash burger, but again, these patties were two the thickness of anything I've ever seen called a smash burger. More importantly, the pan sauce poured over the entire plate was cold and congealed. Generally, the flavor was okay. Rodeo Goat; cause it's the GOAT of burgers? That's to be debated since it's in the eye of the diner but all I can say is when I think of burgers and I'm in the Dallas area, Rodeo Goat is what comes to mind! We stopped here a couple times back in December as we found this spot by accident the first time looking for something else but decided to stick it out and check this spot out. Turned out to be one of our pleasant experiences that we kept coming back. The layout of the place is inviting with plenty of tables/booths on the inside/outside and bar seating on the left when you enter the place. Sitting at the bar, the bartenders were attentive and helpful with navigating our menu and they can have conversation with some banter thrown in. Heather worked every shift that we were in and gave us good recs on food, kept the drinks coming, and would crack a joke or throw some shade at my buddy and I whenever the time called for it. Now that's what you want in a bartender. Makes sense cause she's an Eagles fan in Cowboys territory so gotta be tough when the time calls for it! Anyways, as for food, you can't go wrong with one of their appetizers or their burgers. Each time here, we mixed em up and ordered something different. The tostada chips and queso is a tasty sharable with the queso being one of the better ones I've had. It has ground beef, pico de gallo, and guac mixed in and the queso has the right amount of thickness. The tostada chips have more strength than tortilla chips to handle it; you ever dip in a chip and it breaks cause it handle the queso? Doesn't happen here! Another appetizer is their cheese fries; you can get it as no surprise (original) or with surprise (w/ brisket chili). We decided on the no surprise since it was already a big portion and we had burgers coming. Holy cow, this appetizer could be a meal in itself with the portion. The fries and cheese with the bacon and jalapenos is a definite crowd-pleaser. It reminds me of the cheese fries from early 2000s Outback which were one of my favorite guilty pleasures. The fries have great texture, the cheese is perfectly melted, and there's plenty of jalapenos for that nice heat kick. For the burgers, it kept it safe with the Royale with Cheese and this burger did not disappoint. It's large with melted cheese and bacon plus the LTO and mustard on a nice bun. I enjoyed eating this as it reminded me how a simple burger with american cheese and bacon plus veggies can be so satisfying when it's cooked right with a proper bun. And this burger did that in spades! My friend ordered the bodacious burger which had this BBQ sauce that he loved. I couldn't snap a photo cause he finished it so fast; I'm guessing no complaints on his part. This is on my rotation whenever I'm in the Frisco/Plano area for drinks/food and a good time. I was in Plano for a week for work and a co-worker suggested this place next to my hotel. Went mountain biking after work and didn't get back to hotel until around 9PM. Tried to order online, but they were not taking orders (closed at 10PM). Called up there and Steve took care of me. Ordered the Evan Grant (bacon/gouda with brisket) and the cheese Fries Surprise (brisket chili, cheddar, jalapenos and bacon) for a pick up. Food was ready when I got there (THANKS STEVE!). Plenty of seating at Rodeo Goat, and you can sit anywhere you like (there is a sign that tells you to do so). We were helped by our server quickly soon after sitting down to ask what we wanted to drink. She was very friendly and was open to questions on their menu. Rodeo Goat is great when you eat there or grab takeout. I DoorDashed tonight and it sucked. I was missing several items that I had paid for. When I went to call Rodeo Goat, the automated attendant said to stay on hold for a team member and then it just hung up on me. I called 3 times and the call ended 3 times with a hang up dial tone. Really solid spot overall! The burgers were the highlight -- the Royale with Cheese tasted super fresh and had that perfect cheesy melt, and the Elphaba was honestly such a unique twist. The coffee flavor gave it that beef-jerky vibe you'd get from a QuickTrip snack, which weirdly worked. I'd totally order it more often if it weren't for those bright green buns and how small it was... it kinda turned the whole thing into a gimmick instead of a full, satisfying bite. Our waiter Owen was cool -- not around too much, but he showed up right when we needed him for ordering, clearing plates, and cashing out, so no issues there. Decorations were really fun, even if the overall ambiance felt more like a vintage Disney attraction than a modern burger spot. Head mounts, full body mounts, one with a saddle and even a goat skeleton are displayed. Large dining tables are set up, capable of handling raucous nightly crowds of beer guzzling, burger devouring patrons. Quite quiet and calm this afternoon, though. We had the restaurant to ourselves. The Rodeo Goat's menu can be found on their website. My wife quickly spotted the Whiskey Burger, and for me a Cowboy Cobb. The Whiskey burger was rated fair by my wife. My salad was a great mixture of greens, bacon, egg and avocado. The salad was tasty. The steak very tough, with a ribbon of connective tissue that was resistant to mastication. I was able to carve the gristle out with a knife and salvage about half of the meat. Both meals are recommended. The quality of the steak may disappoint. The service friendly, adequate. read more

I'd never been here before even though it's been on my radar for a couple years, and I wish I'd been sooner!! I went right at lunch, it wasn't very busy (I'm talking like 12-14 other people in there at the same time), we sat ourselves (like the sign said to do)- we were greeted within a few mins. 4 stars because It took about 30-40 mins to get our food...so either that's a note to self for the future to order ahead, or not go at lunch- I have a lax work situation but if you're on a time crunch, this place might stress you out. There was a table of about 8-10 who put their order in before us, but that can happen at any given time during lunch service, it's a rush hour, so... halfway get it, halfway ehhh. HOWEVER- our waitress was attentive and obviously knew her stuff, was a pleasure to deal with, would have her again every time- and the food was outstanding. I had no idea someone could make a superior Cobb salad, but this place did just that. My fiancé was impressed with his burger too- and we're both really good at cooking at home so sometimes his opinion is very "meh"- but he loved this. We can't wait to go back and try other things and take our friends- this would please so many palettes. Very clean place, I really like the booths in the middle of the layout- because I prefer a booth but it icks me out sitting in a corner and he and I like to sit beside each other, I'd love more of this! I always enjoy dining in at Rodeo Goat but it was my first time at the Frisco location. Not much different, the food was amazing as always. I always know on my first bite of the burger and it was so yummy once again. I got the Bodacious and my friend got the special new burger.. forgot the name because they got new burgers again. But they were both really good and so different that it was very enjoyable!! We ordered regular hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. My family and I were looking for a quick bite to eat, so we decided to grab Rodeo Goat. Typically, I'll take a picture prior to eating if I'm thinking of leaving a review. Though, I hadn't necessarily been impressed by the ambiance or the seating arrangements, the menu selection was uninspired, and the service was just fine so I really wasn't planning on leaving a review. However, I ordered the "special" and one bite into the Radio G.O.A.T. burger I was hooked. Cleared the whole thing in like 30 seconds flat. This spot is probably a 3-4 star spot, but I'm leaving 5 stars for the Radio GOAT even though I probably shouldn't. It was that good. "Cactus fries" with pear bbq sauce and hatch chiles is both interesting and unique while being absolutely delicious! If you're into experimental food and/or burgers this spot is a MUST TRY. Glad to see this location closer to my home. I have enjoyed their site in The Sound in North Dallas for years. The Frisco site has an awesome patio area to enjoy the great weather. Service is quick and all our questions were answered. We made some personal changes to a burger and they did it with no problems. We also were able to get a mix on the fries to include sweet potato fries. Our burgers were cooked perfectly with mine medium and my wife requiring a hock puck cooking method on hers. Had to try this place out because my parents tried it out and told me they enjoyed it, which surprised me cause my mom usually isn't one for burgers. Staff was nice and when asked between the tots and fries told me the fries were half out that night so I decided to go with those. They had the burger and fries out within about 10 minutes of me ordering and I should have expected the size of the fries due to the price point but I wasn't thinking about that. Let's just say I got my money's worth and then some. The food was easy and nice and hot and as I said before the portions were large.
