My relationship with WB is that of an old friend - we don't frequently see each other anymore- but when we do it's like old times - Today I was up running errands early in the morning - so I decided to stop in for a sausage egg and cheese taquito- my food was brought out with a friendly smile - so I dug in. First bite of a taquito always takes me to when I first tried one - when I was 12 my uncle Guemo and cousin Billy picked me up for a fishing trip and they shared with me a taquito , and magically I get transported back to 1984. This is the second time I've had Whataburger, and all my Texan friends told me to try the patty melt! I added pickled jalapeños, and it was so fire! It's simple: white bread, two burger patties, melted cheese, and it hits the spot, especially with their hot fries. I can't say much about anything else on the menu, but if you're a visitor and never had Whataburger, I'd say go for their most ordered item, the patty melt. 10/10 read more

They always mess up my order, sadly I don't ever have the time to get it replaced/fixed. I go in to get food around 3am-5am when no one is there. Still they either forget to add something to my order or completely get it the wrong way. I've had my order given to another customer twice already causing me to wait there more than 15-20 mins. Was excited to try one of their burgers, only to be disappointed unfortunately. I love avocado bacon burgers - they are my absolute fave, so why not try one here. I asked them to put the sauces on the side, but the one most important item forgotten was the avocado! Ugh. Went back up to the counter, and they apologized and gave me a large cup of avocado. The burger flavor itself was dry and blah, bacon and lettuce were bits and scant. Fries were nothing to be excited about. This whataburger has improved tremendously over the past couple of years! They are not as slow as they used to be! And the manager Nick is great! When in Texas, you give Whataburger a shot and that's something what I had to do when I was here. I was on my way to San Antonio when I realized that I had some room in my stomach and there was a Whataburger approaching, destiny had become a reality. This location had a decent amount of people in it for 11:40AM and it took a little while to get my food (it's lunch time, it's expected). I ended up ordering the BBQ chicken strip melt with French fries since it was loudly screaming at me to get it from the line, and let me tell you, I do not regret this decision. The sandwich was hot, juicy, and full of oh so much flavour, I'm talking a next level of fast food greatness (I'm being a little dramatic). On top of having a great sandwich the French fries were pretty dang good too. They were crispy, hot, and the best kind of potato. Overall, I loved my first experience at Whataburger and I will definitely be returning the next time I find myself in the great state of Texas. we ordering a burger with only ketchup, pickle, lettuce, and cheese as a meal and a Mushroom Swiss burger meal. we get home and see we got a KPLC burger with tons of mushrooms and a Mushroom Swiss burger with nothing but sauce and three handfuls of onions. So found out what they do with all their leftover fries - make chili cheese fries ! Not a big burger fan so decided to try the great looking large looking order of the new chili cheese fries. SO disappointed. Actually threw half of it out. The fries were chewy and stale. There was probably about 2 full tablespoons of chili and very little cheese. I ended up bringing home, adding cheese and nuking - still no better! I will say the few bites of chili that I had, were pretty good - just needed a lot more - or at least enough to cover the fries. read more

As a vegetarian, I first learned 23 years ago when I worked at a Whataburger and took the order request from someone else that you could request a hashbrown substitute for the meat patty on a burger! I have been eating burgers this way from Whataburger locations across the state ever since and aside from someone maybe needing help putting the order in the system correctly on occasion over the years, I have never had a problem placing my burger order this way. Today, however, Mario said, "I'm sorry ma'am I don't think we can do that." | responded that this if that was the case it would be the first Whataburger to ever refuse to do so in over 20 years of my ordering that way so he said he needed to talk with management. He turned to the manager who was right behind him, explained the request and the Manager then said something along the lines of not having hash browns because it was "after breakfast." While I've been told before that it would take a few extra minutes to cook the hashbrowns (which are literally just pulled from the freezer and dropped in the same grease as the fries), I've never been refused service because they didn't have any ready and didn't want to take a few second to prepare them. The whole thing was so ridiculous, as I know that this substitution is not an uncommon nor difficult request. I just walked out with my husband and we went to subway instead. read more

went to this location because it was close to the hospital and I haven't had real food in days and neither has my pregnant wife. I figured it was a good quick solution to feed us something other than hospital food. As soon as I walked in, an employee smelled horribly of pot.... and when I walked back out and returned my car, another employee was getting high and a red Mustang with a manager in the parking lot right in front of the doors. I don't care if you want to smoke pot, but please do it at home and have some respect for your workplace and the people that you be feeding. Came here at 4/112023 right before 5 am and the food was hot fresh and delicious. The guy at the window was nice . I included the date and time because I have had constant issues with this spot in the past to the point I go to the middle of town well out of our way to avoid it . Fries are over cooked or old AF and getting a burger without a bun would always come without any kind of sauce . If that was right there would be old or no fries in the bag and my God the attitudes . I would pull 12 hours working my off in a warehouse and still have manners for these people to be rude , but today I have to say I was very impressed. read more

We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal and "what-a-sized" it which means a larger drink and a larger order of fries, but the fries were barely filled halfway, we also ordered a sweet & spicy bacon burger meal and a patty melt a la carte and when asked for condiments we asked for spicy ketchup and they only gave us 2 of the packets for all of our food as if it would be enough, stingy, and to top it all off our fries were super cold, old, stale and overall just a disappointment. I've eaten here at this location probably 20 times in the past three years. I most often eat in. As others have mentioned, the drive through is EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW! The service inside has always been friendly and the food consistent, for the most part. Clean environment, which is big for me. Today I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Not worth it. Horrible location. We waited over 15 mins for our food and when we got it, the fries where stale with no salt and tasted freezer burnt. The buns where dry and overall not worth the 15 mins we waited for all the pimple faces to pay attention to their job. This is a problem most likely with whomever is managing this location. This whataburger is lucky im giving them a 2 star rating. Normally i don't have a problem with this whataburger. I can't complain on the food because it's fast food it's never gonna be perfect the people complaining about the food can either cook for themselves or go somewhere else. However my issue relies with the service i normally don't have an issue with that but this time it's different. So I pulled into the right lane as there was no sign saying that lane was closed or didn't have workers for it and it wasn't busy so i thought ok should be pretty quick. Little did I know pulling into that lane I would watch two vehicles that pulled in behind me back up and go in the other lane as the vehicle that was there before had started moving neither of them were there before I was and the guy took their orders first. The second vehicle hadn't even gotten there for a good 10 seconds after the 1st vehicle that backed out moved forward I think it's pretty shitty that I was just sitting there waiting to order for 2 vehicles that pulled in after me backed out and pulled into the left lane to get there orders first. Let alone I was never talked to by the guy taking the orders, so I have no idea whether they just didn't have anyone working that lane or what. All they had to do was switch over onto the other side and say "hey we're not running this lane at the moment if you could go to the other lane that would be great" but instead I got nothing I proceeded to sit there for at least 5 minutes before finally getting fed up with it because i had work in 30 minutes and leaving with no food because by that point i didn't know if id have enough time to go around get my food and be at work in time. Every other time it's been about a 4-5 star due to it being pretty quick, but for whatever reason this time was a complete utter joke. read more
