Whataburger first-timers here. The sweet girl at the register was super helpful with all our questions. We ordered a couple Whataburgers, a Jalapeño & Cheese Whataburger, and a couple Bacon & Cheese Whataburgers. We all got the medium combos and we thought they gave us the wrong cups because they are huge! The burgers are also huge!! Mustard is the only condiment on the burgers, but they have plenty of sauces available you can add yourself. The fries were pretty good, but could use a lot more salt. The Onion Rings were perfection.

Some people like to argue which is better - Whataburger or In N Out. As for me, having tried both, the comparison is flawed. They are a different style or burgers. To me, Whataburger is best compared to the likes of Fat Burger. The style is more alike. So let's stop comparing apples to oranges and say they both have their place. As for Whataburger on it's own, my recent visit was my first time. We only have but one location in the Las Vegas area right now and I am not about to go down the Strip to try it. I happened to be passing through Phoenix on a business trip, though, and took the opportunity to dine in. I ordered a #1 with cheese and a Dr Pepper milkshake. My order was ready in about 5 minutes. The burger was good. Not a "to die for" type burger. But good. Meat, chopped lettuce, chopped onion, tomato, pickle and mustard. As I said earlier, it reminded me of Fat Burger. Which is not a bad thing. I give Fat Burger the edge, though. They make a bigger beefier burger than what I got from here at Whataburger. That is not to say I didn't enjoy my dinner. I've just had better. I had fries on the side. McDonald's thickness which is ever so slightly thicker than shoe string fries. Not a bad thing. Taste was standard. Fries are fries and all tend to taste the same when dunked in ketchup. The Dr. Pepper shake was the real reason I chose Whataburger to have on this particular evening. It's a limited edition release and was worth trying. I had a hard time picking out the Dr. Pepper in the flavor but it was definitely different than just chocolate or vanilla. It was a good shake. I chose this particular location (Bethany Home Rd.) due to the ease of access and the proximity to I-17. Service was friendly. The food was adequate. It gave me the fuel I needed to finish my evening after a long day of travel. For that I am grateful. And now I can say I have tried Whataburger.

This used to be my favorite location but the past 6 months it hasn't been the same. Twice they forgot to include part of my order, the drive thru can be extremely slow. The customer service isn't all that bad but it could improve. Today I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and as I'm eating it I bite into something string which was a wilted piece of tomato and the next bite is an ugly brown piece of lettuce. I hope it improves. This location is the closest to home for me. I do love me some Whataburger.

Husband and I stopped by on a Saturday around 1. Even though the dining room was busy we opted to eat in. He ordered a Whataburger with cheese and bacon. I ordered a Patty Melt. The cashier gave us our number and we selected a table. In about five minutes our food arrived. Hot and fresh. Gentleman that delivered it was pleasant and provided us with our condiments. My burger was good, but i do wish they'd offer a single patty version instead of just a double. It was hot, cheese gooey and melted with lots of grilled, caramelized onions. Bread toasted nicely. But it still a fast food burger. So why the four stars? Well, cashiers efficient, food runners pleasant, dining area clean and my food was fresh and hot. What more could I ask for? It was a easy, quick lunch. I'll give them another go around if in the area. It's one of the better fast food experiences I've had in a long time.

A large iced tea, a large French fry, and the Star of the Show a Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger.

I was surprised. Chili is supposed to be served in a bowl not a sandwich lol. The chili and the burger went very well together it's very good. This site only allows me to do pictures. Here is the link to my video. https://youtube.com/shorts/_y9fBBs8Rgw?si=Zkiuc1cJjMXlQx0s

I know some of you are uneducated about the quality of a meatball sandwich & that's ok, I'm not judging so do not be offended. To begin... This is a neighborhood place just like back east , nestled in a neighborhood on the corner hidden from the strip mall garbage. When you come here, and you better, do not be distracted by the path to tasty food. It is in an older neighborhood with minimal parking but fantastic personalities, service & FOOD! Upon entry it's a time warp for us who grew up in a time that was better. This is a good Olde Fashion deli that sells great food with amazing service. Franks is a family place. Back to the real topic... Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! The meatballs are still hot, the sauce is holding place & the bread is still bread, not some soggy remnant of dough! Thank you for the pride, quality & tasty sandwich.

In my previous visits we have had the Meatball, Sausage, and Ruben sandwiches. I was hoping to try the Steak sandwich and was fortunate to get one today. Last time we went to Frank's they didn't have it on the menu that day. It comes with cheese ( I chose Provolone ) , lettuce, tomato, and mustard instead of mayo. The steak is Pork Butt ( a shoulder cut) . I loved it. It was sooo moist, tender, and flavorful. Another sandwich for my repertoire . My friend had a Meatball sandwich. You can't go wrong with that choice. Needless to say he loved his sandwich too. Today we got lucky to get a table to have our lunch. You have to come early for lunch . It gets crowded around 11:30 .

The chunks of meat are generous and I've never bit into anything wierd (that's a deal breaker for me) and the broth is nice and thick. I'll rip a chunk of the perfectly fried, but not too greasy bread and dunk it into that fabulous broth and it emerges perfectly coated, getting soaked up by the little fried crunchies. And don't worry about it ever being soggy, you'll never leave it on your plate long enough for that to happen. Once you taste that first bite you won't talk to your friends, or check in on your phone, or even wipe up your kids spills until every morsel has been consumed. The red chile beef reminded me a lot of the traditional New Mexican red chile my family makes. Service was excellent. We went the same day, arrived to discover there was an accident that took out the stoplight and hit the owners car. Even with that going on, she welcomed us and we ordered a couple of burritos while taking not of all of the fresh pastries and other goodness. We ordered one beef and green chile and a Sausage breakfast burrito. They make their own sausage for these from a recipe that has been in the family for over 100 years, and I highly recommend it. Both were exceptional and they are huge and do not skimp on the meat. After those we could not pass up grabbing some of the Maple Peach bread pudding and an Apple Danish. The Apple Danish was outstanding, cannot speak to the bread pudding as that disappeared before I was able to try it. This place is awesome, great food, great staff, great atmosphere, and we will be adding this to our breakfast rotation for sure. I need to return to try the burgers, and I'm certain they will not disappoint. If you are in the area, this is the place you need to try for sure.

There are way more options and it's still really easy to get something healthy without spending a ton. I got the Chicken Protein Bowl XL with brown rice, avocado, sweet potatoes, pepperoncinis, a hard boiled egg and extra chicken. The portions were really good, especially for the price. You can't really tell from the picture, but there was an insane amount of chicken buried underneath the rice. I kept thinking I was almost done with the chicken and then finding more underneath which was definitely a nice surprise. Everything in the bowl tasted fresh and the chicken was probably my favorite part. I also liked how customizable everything was. There are enough different proteins and toppings that you could come here pretty often without having to get the same thing every time. I've also tried the lobster rolls here in the past. I thought those were pretty average, but definitely not bad considering the price. I'd probably stick with the bowls going forward though. I'm really happy to have another healthy fast food option around here, good portions, lots of protein, plenty of choices and the prices are actually reasonable.

That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean. The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded. Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. If you're coming west on Thomas, make a u-turn after you pass 1st Ave.
