Drive thru guy that worked the window never spoke to us while taking our payment or when he gave us our drinks. Imagine my surprise seeing this as an option when visiting family. I'm sure to locals it doesn't compare to the "drive-in" across the main highway, but being able to pick up some of their coffee and a honey butter chicken biscuit on my drive into an empty forest was nice. I'm definitely more a fan of their breakfasts, but on my most recent visit my mom wanted to come by for lunch. It wasn't too crowded and everything was fresh. The only negative is some of the small touches which others familiar with this chain would expect. So while they brought our food to the table, they did not bring the condiment tray with napkins so I had to go back and grab some myself. Not a major deal breaker, but just one of those things that does set the TX chain apart from the bigger chains. read more

Went on Sunday evening. There was not one car in the drivethru. We ordered 2 Whataburger Jr meals with onion rings. We waited a long time for our order. They said the wait was because of the rings. After a VERY SHORT drive (less than 2 miles) the burgers were stone cold, and the onion rings were not only cold, but so soggy, we couldn't lift them from the carton without them totally falling apart. Been in this Whataburger 4 times, two of the times my Whataburger had raw meat, one of the times got my burger and someone had put their thumb through the top of bun and the last time not only were my fries were cold they were all broken up. Looked like someone had broken them in little peace's. The owners apparently don't care, I would start by firing every manager and get someone in there that cares about the customer. Whataburger, the name says it all, What-a-burger! I have tried multiple things from the menu here and have loved everything that I have gotten. It always tastes fresh and comes hot from the grease. The people here are great, as well. One caveat is sometimes the drive thru can get backed up and takes a bit to process, but the food is worth the wait! On my recent visit to the Pineville area to visit family, I was pleasantly surprised with the Whataburger. My nephew was raving about how good it was and I was skeptical. But he was right. The burger itself was juicy but not greasy. I also loved the sauce. What impressed me most of all was the generous portion of onions and mushrooms on my hamburger. Most hamburger places put only a few scrawny pieces but my burger overflowed with delicious onions and nice sized mushrooms. To top it off, the customer service was great. The girl taking our order was patient with our carload of customized orders and she was very friendly and got it all right. There was a wait but it wasn't too bad and worth waiting for. Very happy with Whataburger and bummed they don't have one in the town where I live. read more

This time I actually got the order wrong and I had to go back in before I drove off to get it corrected. Waited in line for an HOUR, to get one sandwich and a drink. It was 6:40pm when I arrived so I figured it would be a wait, but this was unbelievable. Double drive thru, dine-in closed due to Covid and it still took 63 minutes to get a sandwich. Meanwhile, multiple employees are in and out of the building, being extremely loud and unprofessional (one literally dancing across the drive-thru line of cars, on her phone) Employees coming out, hanging out with their friends who are in line, employees on their personal iPhones, and even getting INTO CUSTOMER VEHICLES while wearing their "sanitary" gloves, chatting it up in the line directly between other customers' vehicles, shouting at each other and customers they knew across everyone else's cars. Unbelievable. Having a relaxed work environment is great, but show some semblance of professionalism at your job, and maybe help your coworkers out when you have 40 CARS IN THE DRIVE THRU, rather than dance around on your phone IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS. read more
