They got my gravy but not the ketchup that literally right next to it

The food is usually dry at this location so I ordered three ketchup packets with my mobile order well I got home and there was no ketchup my patty melt was dry as the Sahara and not to be rude but it's like you have one job and that's to make sure the order is correct and handed out 0/5 stars is what they deserve crazy how they got my gravy but not the ketchup

We came out to whataburger in Rowlett for breakfast. The line wasn't too long which is always a good thing for whataburger. We had J-Lo helping us over the intercom. She was very upbeat and cornfirmed our order. Shantae, who was helping to deliver the food and take payment, was great as well. We ordered the potato taquito meal with a Strawberry White Chocolate shake as the drink. Oooohhhhhh man, this shake is so creamy and sweet. Perfect alongside your meal. We also had the honey-butter chicken biscuit. There a good amount of honey-butter on it and the biscuit was warm. Great all-around experience!

Not the best fries I have had in a Whataburger. Cold n greasy.

I am a big fan of Whataburger, as it's one of the last places that does decent fries after the non-trans fat Laws passed on the 90's much to my disbelief. While visiting friends in Texas I stopped by for a quick fix. This location didn't have great reviews and it was easy to spot the reasons why. Easily enough. The tables could use a good wipe down. The fries were cold and greasy which was interesting as they were really busy at the drive through, so I am not sure how they managed that. Lastly the Dr Pepper from the fountain tasted like it was out of syrup. The burger was still good and the employees were polite and were very presentable so that was good, but it was a real let down on the fry fix.

Slow slow slow! Good food, but it's faster to drive to another Whataburger. Poorly managed. I will not be back.

First off, the name they claim for this location, isn't the name on the sign. The *actual*…read moreLouisiana "Famous" Fried Chicken is in Dallas. This is just Louisiana Fried Chicken, you can see there is another entry in here with that name and the reviews are not nearly as kind. Service was perfectly fine, the place is small but seemed clean enough. There endeth the passable things. I ordered spicy fried chicken 3pc (LWT), red beans and rice and a pint of gumbo (holy trinity, chicken, sausage, crab and shrimp - more on that to come and it isn't good). Those are a trinity for me, if you will, when sampling and then judging Louisiana fried chicken places. So, Enter Sandman... I got food poisoning, which is an automatic 1. I don't like to give them out, but for extreme circumstances; this being one of those circumstances. The food: The fried chicken was not golden brown it was dark brown, which says old oil/grease. It was bitter, but edible. I ordered spicy, and if they consider whatever I got as spicy, they need to dial it up. I detected no spice. The lady at the counter asked if I wanted hot sauce, I said yes, but it didn't meander its way into my order. The red beans and rice... I don't know what kind of black roux they use and how hard they cook the rice for it to be this mushy. It smelled like it should be good, but I had to add my own Cajun seasoning and some Tobasco to liven it up, even still it was more of, "I paid for it so I'm going to eat it" at this point. Popeye's RB&R is WAY better, and that Popeye's on the corner isn't even a good Popeye's. Now what I believe to be the criminal, the file seafood, chicken, sausage (note I didn't say Andouille, because this was straight up garbage Eckrich). It was a pint, and it was almost black (me assuming because they made a file gumbo, now I'm not so sure). It was packed with a thick mush of *mostly*, onion, celery and green pepper. Scattered among them were stringy pieces of boiled chicken, 2 or 3 pieces of sausage, I did not identify if there was indeed any crab in there because I never saw it and two soggy ass fried shrimp on top. I should've just tossed the whole thing in hindsight. I did pitch the shrimp. I didn't trust how they looked. I dumped the pint (it had that odd colored overcooked rice too), i added quite a bit of water, brought it to a boil, reduced to simmer. I had to add seasoning to this as well as some tobasco. I ate about 1/3 of it or so, then just pitched the rest. *a few hours later (said in that French accent you're now reading it in)* I'm pounding Nauzene, and pounding the toilet. Let's say, oh... about 8 -9 hours? The easiest way to explain how long. As the very unpleasantries began, I put on John Wick, I watched all 4 before finally being *done* and able to go to bed about 0500. Suffice to say, I will not be back. I give this two thumbs down and a raspberry.

The chicken patties used are top tier- full juicy filets, no hard edges or flattened out stringy pieces. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection as I chose "hot" and it was not too much. The pickles were great and the coleslaw on the sandwich. The fries are the biggest crinkle cut and perfectly cooked. The Elotes were also amazing with the spicy mayo. Jason ordered the Lava #1 (2 mild strips) and I got the Lava #2 (2 hot chicken sliders). The "hot" was more of a medium kick, while the mild still had great flavor without much heat--so definitely approachable for anyone easing into spice. I also helped myself get some mac & cheese since it was a cold and rainy day, but to be honest I probably would've gotten some mac & cheese anyways. Delicious! Also have to shout out Alex--super patient, helpful with the menu, and honestly just great service all around. He anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, which you don't see often. Really made the experience even better. And I have to add--I'm usually not a fan of crinkle fries, but these were actually spot on. We'll definitely be back!

I wish more places would use these, but perhaps I'm in the minority and people prefer the sterile coldness of cool white LEDs. Also, the food tastes pretty good. Sure, it's full of all the ingredients the other fast-food places use, like all the preservatives, seed oils, and other flavor enhancers, but it tastes pretty good. The problem for me, though, and it's a big one I've noticed at other places as well: the food tastes like artificial fragrance. At least the bun on the burger did. So it makes me think they are storing the buns in an area with fragrance (air freshener of some sort), or the plastic container the buns are stored in was stored in a room with an air freshener. It's pretty nasty to bite into a burger and taste a chemically crafted bouquet of flowers. I managed to remove the outer layer of both buns, and that got rid of the fragrance and made the burger edible. So, my suggestion for Culver's, and any food business, is to get rid of the stinking artificial fragrance. It's nasty, it's toxic, it tastes terrible, and it sticks to everything, especially plastic and anything that plastic touches. The sad part is, most people live their lives surrounded by fragrance, they can't even taste it when it's in and on their food.

My first impression was that this place was insanely busy, which honestly gave me hope that the food would speak for itself. I was greeted in the drive through by an employee who was extremely friendly and took my order while I was still in line. Then it became a waiting game. From the time I placed my order until I got to the window, it took about 15 minutes. That may be normal here, but I would not call it fast food in the usual sense. That said, there are signs everywhere saying everything is cooked fresh and made to order, and if that is true, the wait is a fair trade for hot, fresh food. Sitting in the drive through was actually a cool experience because you can see into the kitchen through the glass. It was interesting to watch the team work, and the kitchen looked very clean and organized, especially considering how busy they were. I ordered the Animal Style meal since everyone says that is the best way to do it. It was about$11 which feels pretty reasonable these days. I also liked the packaging. The burger came wrapped in paper, and it made it easier to eat in the car without making a mess. As for the food, the burger was above average for a drive through restaurant. It was served hot, and the vegetables tasted fresh. But compared to a genuinely great hamburger, it was just okay. The biggest thing holding it back for me was the patty. It needed more seasoning, and that alone would have taken it a long way. The fries were the weak spot. They were overly salted, almost too salty, and they were not very hot by the time I got them. They ended up feeling like average fast food fries. Overall, if you are craving a hamburger and choosing between typical fast food options, this is worth a stop. I would take it over most chains, though I would still pick Five Guys if I wanted a better burger.

Not Truly Military Friendly-…read more I was extremely disappointed to learn that this Chick-fil-A location only offers a military discount to current active-duty service members and does not extend the same respect to retired veterans who have already completed their service. What makes this even more frustrating is that there are no military bases anywhere near this area, so realistically there are very few--if any--active-duty service members coming through. In other words, it feels like a policy that allows them to say they support the military without actually honoring the people who live in this community and have already served their country. Many businesses proudly support all who have served, including retired military members and veterans who dedicated years--sometimes decades--of their lives to this country. Limiting the discount only to active duty sends the message that once your service is finished, your sacrifice no longer counts. Our veterans carried the weight long before the current generation put on the uniform. A truly military-friendly business recognizes active duty, veterans, and retirees alike. It's disappointing to see a company with such a strong reputation in the community fall short in honoring those who served. Hopefully the "Rockwall" Chick-fil-A's will reconsider this policy and extend appreciation to all military members past and present.
