I love Whataburger but on Friday evening we were in line in drive thru.its was packed and they. Were moving the line fast . We order 2-1s Combos And a Xtra side of onion rings. Employees were great,but when we got home our burgers and fries were cold like they had been sitting there for over an hour or two it was very disappointing . We passed several of the competition to get to your location but at the next time more than likely we will not return for a while since there is a lot of ongoing issues in this world right now and I know that this is not a huge issue compared to everything else we face. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and good burgers! Awesome that staff was wiping down tables as soon as people left, keeping the trash empty and asking if guests needed anything. So rare at many places nowadays especially so at fast food places! read more

A lot of people don't know Whataburger was founded in Texas. It's pretty much the McDonald's of Texas. The slogan that you don't see for Whataburger here in Tucson is "There's one near YOU!" because there's a Whataburger about every 5 feet when you go to Texas. I recommend this particular Whataburger not only for the consistency of food, but also because they have the best variety of soft drink flavors of any Whataburger that I've seen in Tucson. Whenever ww visit from San Diego we hit up a Whataburger. We went through the drive through and neglected to see that cheese is not included on the number 2 nor were we offered to add. My son was very disappointed to find his buger sans cheese so i drove him back. The employees were completely awesome and uneccessarily apologetic. They gave us drink cups for our wait and even chased me down in the parking lot to give me directions to the Walmart. (The first employee I askes wasn't sure) Way to go Whataburger! This Whataburger location rocks! And what is it with Whataburger ketchup, that ish is good!

This is the family's go to place for burgers and other treats -- we usually walk there. This store was updated several years ago (roughly 2009), which improved the dining room and the traffic flow in and out of the store. The basic Whataburger is a great burger; it's best feature being its size. It is the largest fast food burger that I know of in Tucson, and is almost always fresh, well made, and tasty. The other interesting menu item is their #13 (I think, it used to be a #6), which is the usual chicken strip meal. What is interesting is the choice of "sauce" -- my son always chooses the white gravy, which you don't see to often. They also provide some Texas toast in the meal. I believe both items are a Southern USA touch, which is a fun change. One of the great things about Tucson is that we get influences from both Texas and from California (not to mention Mexico and points south). To me Whataburger epitomizes that Texan influence. In-n-Out Burger represents to me the So Cal influence. read more

If you go to Valencia Wharaburger, their food is always fresh and taste is awesome but if you go to the 6th Avenue store their food taste old and greasy, I was very disappointed with their service. This restaurant has been here for years... the staffing tonight was fabulous, the cleanliness was fantastic, the food was wonderful. Amazingly awesome and highly recommended. There are 2 Burger Kings; one to the north, one to the south, from this location. These Burger Kings have both been rebuilt or built in the last 4 years. Their staffing and cleanliness can not match Whataburger. The same goes for the Mc Donald's to the east. the place is dirty with rude employees. Stopped in for a late meal after a full day of driving. Was excited to try it out not only because me and my boyfriend were starving but because in California (where we're from) they don't have Whataburger. We both got the Mushroom Swiss Burger which was delicious and surprisingly pretty big. Not only were we impressed by the food quality but the exceptional service Joseph gave to us. Everything from taking our order, delivering it to us at our table but even checking on us to see how it tasted. Never in my life have I experienced such high level of attentive customer service at a fast food restaurant. Fresh food along with amazing speedy service it's always a good idea. Always willing to give there opinions on what to eat when your short on ideas. Even at 230 am you can get breakfast lunch or dinner all at reasonable prices. The portions of food for the amount you pay is very wallet friendly. I'm sure to be back at this location, conveniently located in the cross streets of Wilmot & 22nd in between wilmont and kolb. It's newly renovated and it was designed very well to maintain the hours it's open. If your in the area swing on by this place rarely let's down. We go to whataburger once every 2-3 weeks and really like their burgers a lot. Their fries aren't that great but their prices are real good. The reason I did t give it more stars is 1) the fries (too thin) and 2) the service. The girls who are usually put on the cash register are either not happy with their jobs or just plain horrible at customer service because I do not feel welcomed when I walk in the door. (I.e. last week my husband and I went there and we walked up to the counter and there was a girl on the registers and another young lady whispering and giggling to her. They saw us come in and we're standing there while they finish their little conversation!!! Like that was more important than business. Then, when the other young lady had finished her whispering/giggling, she stood up and apologized and we put in our order she started talking to the girl on the register as if she were training her, "punch it in like this...". It's sad that they're training g their new workers to ignore the customers until the last bit of gossip has been told. read more

I go waaaay back with Whataburger back in good ol' Phoenix....back then all my dad would let me have was a 'biddy burger'...even when I wasn't biddy! Anyway, I know how good Whataburger can be, but it definitely wasn't good today. The drive thru cashier was clearly annoyed with me when I asked about the upgrade charge to a chocolate malt on the combo meal. Oh well, I still got it, but the malt was HORRIBLE. Normally the malts here are great, so I was really bummed. (Wanted to dip my fries in that chocolate malt big time!) Hubby and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it but the flavor was just icky. The only thing I came up with based on taste was that some soda pop was mixed into it. Maybe the teeny bopper cashier gal got mad at me and mixed some in it? I don't know, but what a waste of $1.65 upgrade. Should have just gotten a coke. The burger wasn't hot, but the fries were and my chocolate malt low light is still on. read more
