So after 5 visits before writing review this is probably the worst Whataburger I have been to. French fries no matter what time you show up are always soggy slightly undercooked. Hamburgers doesn't matter double with cheese no1 with cheese double meat jr they are always cold even when you wait and you wait a long time here. Was super excited to make a pit stop to Whataburger today on my way through Texas, so I stopped here to use the restroom and get food. After waiting 15 minutes for the ladies room, watching the men's room sit open I said I'm just going yo use the men's room, it was just a 1 person bathroom. There was an employee in line that said. I was just raised to go in the ladies room and I said so was I but extenuating circumstances happen. She was very rude, and honestly what I should have said is well then when I start bleeding down my leg you should have no problem helping me clean it up then... since it's not right to use the men's room. Then we ordered, the wait for the food was less than the wait for the bathroom however the girl at the register was rude and was not listening. I ordered 2 #1's with cheese and a bacon cheeseburger meal and a shucked strip meal, my #1's had no cheese on them and no condiments at all... disappointed I could've just got to McDonald's for this experience and I probably won't get to come back to Texas for a few years.... I used to go to the Whataburger down on McNiel once every week, normally on Sunday after church, with a couple of buddies and their families. I normally ordered their Jalapeno Biscuit Sandwich for a quick and deliciously spice breakfast. I will confess that the sandwich was quite delectable after using one of their napkins to remove the excess grease. Sadly, a few hours afterwards, I normally had an upset stomach due to the actual grease. That's why I stopped going there altogether and instead cook brunch on Sunday for my friends. After 17 hours straight on the road from Las. Vegas, we were starving and stopped for a Texas staple, Whataburger. There is apparently a debate between which is better; whataburger or in n out.. but whataburger clearly loses that battle because it's at the same price point or higher than in n out, the quality is lower and the majority of the time the service absolutely sucks. They charged me $18 for one burnt triple cheese burger, one burnt double cheese burger and a fry then have the audacity to tell me ranch is gonna be 35¢ extra. Apparently over cooking the burgers is the only way this location knows how to do it. I like whataburger but this Witchita Falls locations was an absolute disappointment. Maybe I'll try again in McKinney... but probably not, because at in n out I can get a 4x4, a 3x3 and two fries for $16 and they will let me have all the secret sauce my heart desires to dip my fries in. read more

It's Whataburger. The food wasn't bad at all of course, rarely is. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit sandwich and just got a plain biscuit, that was very disappointing. I was so anticipating the cheddar cheese melted atop a fluffy egg base nestled between the delicious flakey ends of the jalapeño biscuit. The coffee was cold, they offered to microwave it. Really? Is it so difficult to have hot coffee at breakfast time? The men's restroom was atrocious also. I assume that is not the norm and that I arrived after a rush. I hope at least. Arguably the best fast food burger. Period. I know it's number one in my opinion! Not necessarily cheap, but you're paying for a REAL burger. You could go cheaper at somewhere like McDonald's, but you're not only getting better quality at Whataburger, you're also getting an overall bigger burger. Also they're open 24/7, which is huge for a college student like myself. Most places close at 11 around here, so I appreciate them being there for me at literally any time. I pulled into the drive thru of store number 3404, in Wichita Falls at 11:06 pm on 9/14/2019, order number 533476. There were 4 cars ahead of me. I placed an order of a mushroom Swiss burger and two large orders of fries. 25 minutes later when I finally got up to the window, the drive thru attendant started listing a bunch of food that I did not order, and in turn, trying to charge my card for that food. I refused to pay for food I did not order, again said I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and two large orders of fries. He closes the window, starts talking to other workers, opens the window again, starts handing me a bag of food and a drink that I did not order. I told him no, that I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and two large orders of fries. The window closes again, opens a few minutes later, where I am handed a receipt, I looked at the receipt and told the attendant that I didn't order this, I want the order fixed, and just want my food. I am then told by the drive through attendant that the receipt says what I ordered. In other words they refused to fix it. By then I am irate, and said a few things I wouldn't normally say, I am not proud of that. I am then told by the night manager that they don't have to serve me, and if I wanted to talk to her correctly, and come in, she would then fix my order. By then I was late to work and so exasperated that I said just give me the food and I would be speaking to a manager in the morning. One of the best "Chain" Hamburger places. Food and service is usually great. I have been eating here since 1993. My only complaint is the recent renovation where they removed a counter that held napkins, straws, Salt & Pepper, and plastic ware. The new location for these items is a tiny corner next to the soft drink machine and ice tea/coffee jugs. It gets very congested during busy meal periods.
