Worst customer service ever. I had a flat tire and left my car overnight. The next day, without any update whatsover, I was told my car is ready for pickup. I was not even given a courtesy call for what tire was going to be placed, and the cost. When I came to pick up my car. My car keys wouldn't open the door. I was of course exasperated since I was eager to go home after a long day at work. Instead of pacifiying me. The attendant, I think his name is Kenny, acted defensive in stating "we didn't do anything". I was of course venting that my car keys worked the day prior to bringing it to the shop. If he offered a courteous way to help resolve my problem in the beginning, like maybe it's your key battery instead of being defensive in saying we don't know, we didn't do anything and just left me in the void. Only after I mentioned that I wanted to speak to John, who assisted me the day prior and knows that I was there to replace my tire, put on a light on the front of car and reset the warnings coming up on my car since it warned for maintenance and oil change even after I already had Wheelworks change the oil. Long and short, this man infuriated me by not pacifying me that I could not get in my car because NOW, my car keys that had worked before would not let me get in my car. Only after my intense anger at how he did not know how to properly handle customer service, only then did he say "follow me" and directed me to the shop next door and they tested my car keys. I ended up having to replace my car key battery. All this venting could have been avoided had he suggested and given the utmost concern for my frustration and suggest that in the first place. Instead, he left me initially in the void, as if almost to say "that's not my problem", we did not do anything to it. For his lousy customer service and for not being courteous enough to pacify my concer with not being able to get in my car, I give him half a star! The other half a star, and to the store next door, I give them 4 and a half stars for resolving my issue. I have been a customer of Wheelworks for a very long time. I've had to reschedule a simple alignment and rotation 3 times now due to low staffing. Twice I went in and they told me they might need to keep vehicle overnight, 3rd time they at least called me ahead of time so I didn't waste my time driving to the shop. Don't bother with this shop. I have been coming here for the last year or so and I have been very happy with both the service and the way my cars drive after I get them aligned here. I have also bought a new set of tires for my old Saturn last year, and they were an odd size. The staff was willing to get on the phone and find them for me instead of telling me to go elsewhere. I recently took my Ford in for an alignment and a tire pressure check last Sunday after calling a day or two before. I was told that if I dropped my car off by 9 AM, they would get to it by the end of the day. They were absolutely swamped all day. It only took a few hours, and they also managed to get everyone's cars done before closing, and we are talking about A LOT OF CARS. They worked like a well-oiled machine and were so efficient and fast at getting the cars serviced. There was a serious line when I got there in the morning and I was amazed that they managed to get everyone checked in and answer the phones while still giving everyone the time that they needed for any questions or concerns. The Customer Service team in the front was grace under pressure, and all of the mechanics were really fast and efficient. Just wow. read more

It's been a few years since I've gone to this place for any services... so I had to leave my updated review on my horrendous emergency! SORRY WHEEL WORKS, you are never my first option but I am so grateful that you definitely proved me wrong. I called 3 different Costcos in my area AND none of them had availability the same day.. or the same week alone. On top of that, I had to order my tires to be shipped. BIG YIKES. Anywho, I called in early in the morning, told them my issues (whoever I spoke to was very genuine and sounded really worried with me lol) He told me I can bring in my car anytime before closing and though he didn't promise it'll be finished by closing time.. they managed to do so. Over the phone, I managed to be able to drop off my car anytime before closing, they had my tires available, and made everything hassle free. I also really liked how the guy helped me find any coupons I could use cause 4 tires aren't cheap! LOL too bad they didn't have any for the tires I needed.. but customer service here is 10/10 recommend. With the pandemic going on and I didn't want to make double trips, I had a tow truck drop off my car, I called it in and wheel works said "they have my info already, all they needed were the keys." Perfect, they saved me time! Anyway, I got a call 40 minutes before closing time to pick up my car.. they closed at 7. I ended up picking up the keys closer to 8pm? THEY LET ME PAY FOR MY SERVICES and grab my keys. This company has been around for decades in this plaza and I'm so grateful for everyone that works there. Just had 2000$ worth of work done to my bmw at this place. My driver side window has not been rolling up and I asked them to check it out. They charge 125$ to check it out and they roll it all the way down. They say the motor is broken. That is fine I do not want to fix it but after I pick it up the window is still down. They couldn't even have the courtesy of going into it and at least putting it back up for me. So now I have to take the whole door apart and manually roll my window back up. How do they expect me to leave my car like this why would they roll it all the way down??? If it is down just a bit you can tell it will not roll back up. This place is a rip off you figure you spend 2k they will make sure your window isn't down so anyone can take anything out of your car. Please do me a favor and stay away from these scammers. I walked in on a whim on a Sunday at 2:00 for a quote on new tires. I didn't catch the name of the worker who helped me but he was very friendly, checked out my truck and very quickly got me two separate estimates and explained the differences. I decided on one package and they were able to take my truck right then and there. He gave me a time estimate and the service was exactly on the mark. Worst scheduling experience. I went online on a Sunday and had six Monday options for an appointment so I made one for 10am. An hour later a person called me from Wheel Works to let me know there were no appointments available and the website was wrong. He said I could bring the car in first thing in the morning and pick up end of day. No thanks. I the. receive an email Sunday night confirming my Monday 10am appointment. Confused, I call right away Monday morning to be told that I did not have an appointment. The email was wrong. Again I was told I could bring in at 10am and they could try to have tire fixed by 5pm. Painstakingly slow. Don't come here if you value your time because time comes to a stand still here. I had a 4pm appointment to have my tires switched out and didn't leave until 8:30pm. They didn't even take my car in until after waiting for 2.5 hours. I rated two stars because the elderly uncle's that work on cars are trying their best as they physically could. It was painful watching them move in slow motion. It seems as if the techs are every man for himself because no one's is helping each other out. Even if one tech isn't doing anything, they would just be standing around taking a smoke break. Meanwhile the younger employees are at the front counter literally twiddling their thumbs and watching TV in the lobby. I know their jobs are front counter but it's frustrating watching them sit and do nothing when you've been waiting for so long. In my time waiting in the lobby, I've watched person after person leave with dissatisfaction and frustration on their faces. I've had the same work done at Americas Tire in less than half the time. This is my first and last time at Wheel Works and will only recommend them to my enemies. read more

I got a flat as I was trying to get soup for my sicky and then go home. But nooooo. I got a flat, and couldn't change my tire because my car was too low for the jack. Luckily, AAA. The tow truck driver suggested I take my car here. I didn't mind NOT paying the extra 2 miles to go to Millbrae (where AAA insisted was the only existing tire shop). Took my sweet time getting to the shop, and Wheelworks problem-solved most is the things. My only complaint was that my things were rifled through in search of a wheel lock that I told them was taken. Even though my car was a huge mess and it looks like nobody went through it, I can tell. Otherwise, customer service was excellent. (Also- I'm ignoring the annoying customer that was in front of me who insisted on purchasing discontinued summer wheels for the winter...). Hi everyone just a fair warning I experienced at wheel works. I had a free brake inspection done because my brakes were grinding bad. This wheel works did an inspection and told me I needed major work includes caliper for my front brakes. They wanted to to charge me parts I did not need. I did not need calipers for a bill well over 1000.00 People do your due diligence the manager is in on it too..He had no smile it was a snarl as he said I also needed a light bulb..I told them Ill take the truck I cannot afford this. So they let me have it dangerously driving home on the backroads. On top of this the tech parked my truck and got into another car and sped towards me as a protest about my inspection in another car not sure if it was a customers? btw I got new brakes else where and didnt need all these parts. read more

As I arrived home, I saw a nail in my tire at 6:20pm and I have to be in Vacaville for work tomorrow morning. Called in and a woman answered and let me know they close at 7 so I rushed in over. When I arrived I said I was the one who just called about the tire. Africa was very friendly and checked me in. We went out to ask the tech if the tire was fixable. Unfortunately it was on the edge side of the tire and not and they didn't have a replacement tire :( however Africa went in to get a spray bottle...sprayed the nail area to see if there was air coming out and pushing the liquid. Luckily, it was not! The tech then pulled out the nail (luckily it looked short) and still, no air seem to be coming out or spraying out the liquid. Thank you, Jesus! It didn't look like it punctured through. Thanks, Africa for your kind patience as I was rushing on the phone to ensure I had enough time to get to the shop and your help in finding out if the nail caused damage! Dropped off my car at 9:00 needing a new tire. They quote me two hours. At 1:00, I called and they said one to two more hours. Finally at 2:30, I showed up and they had not even started. Said 4:00. So I've already spent $50 on Lyft and the alleged time is 7 hours after I dropped off and 5 hours after they said it would be done. They also said a guy took lunch and then said he had a family emergency, which I don't believe because I saw the same two guys there from this morning. Excellent! I came here after I got a quote from Toyota dealer. It's cheaper and it has more to offer. Toyota deal gave very high price to change tires. Let compare this: I got a quote for $159 and $179 per tire + labor from Toyota (a total of $1,352 for 4 tires) and I got about $112 and average $110 per tire (installation and lifetime balance/alignment) (a total of $888). Honestly now I know why this place only has 2 1/2 stars. They are truly horrible!! They made me wait for 2 hours and everyone who came after me was helped before me. After 2 hours I was upset but I didn't want to be rude so I ask how long it would take and why they were helping people before me when I was there before them. Made an appointment for 1pm as I had a screw in my tire and it was within the threshold they require to fix. I get there and the guy checking me in tells me they're short staffed and everything is on a drop off basis. That's not what an appointment is but I figured it was fine and I went home. Called them at 6:30 as I hadn't heard back and they told me 7:15 it'd be ready. 7:15 hits and no call so I went to the shop and they tell me they can't repair it because the tire is 5 years old. They at no point in time during the intake inspection told me it couldn't be repaired, so they essentially wasted almost 7 hours of my day. Highly recommend going to a different location that goes through a thorough inspection, like the Belmont location. read more

tl;dr: Overpriced. If you are looking for something affordable, go somewhere else. I needed to change four tires, so I went there and asked a guy to give me a quote. He asked me to wait first and he went outside to check my car even though I told him the information he needs to make a quote such as my car model, the exact size of my tire. etc. (I don't know why. He saw that I had a spare tire on and went back to store.) The cheapest quote they provided me was more than $950 to change four tires. (The tire in the quote wasn't that fancy either, $135 each. yep. Parts costs $135*4 = $540) So, I changed my tires at a different store for $520. read more

We talked on the phone couple times, and he found and order the tires for me which I'm really appreciate for that. But I'm dead unhappy with those scratch marks on my new Lexus (3/4 wheels). My car had a nail/ I ran over a pot hole on New Year's Eve so I was struggling to find a place the day after. Luckily for me I live near wheel works and found on google that they were one of the few businesses open New Year's Day. Kyle, who worked at the front desk helped me out a lot by checking my car's overall maintenance. It was pretty busy that day, being one of the few open but Kyle took his time with each customer and was very assuring. I really appreciated their service that day because it gave me one less thing to worry about coming into the new year. The reason for not a full five stars is because the parking can get pretty hectic (like all the time) and I never was told what was stuck in my tire. My tire pressure gauge was still lit. The techs told me I had to just drive it for 5 minutes, which I did, and the light was still on. When I made the appointment, John, from 5 Skyline said it was an immediate fix and that I could just pop by to get it done. John made it right, because I had already waited hours to get my tire replaced. He had one of his techs reset the tire pressure on the car settings and there's no pressure light anymore. That's awesome service because he knew I had waited a long time but got me out the door quickly so that I was satisfied. read more
