I've never taken my car to a chain/franchised auto shop before so I didn't know what to expect. I ended up being very satisfied with my service! I, like many people, always have a lot of anxiety when it comes to getting auto service thanks to bad experiences from the past. But I was very impressed by the system they have which definitely decreased my anxiety and made me feel like this is a reliable business! I came on a weekday in the early afternoon hoping there wouldn't be too much of a wait. As I drove in to the lot and over a hose on the ground, it rang a bell inside which alerted the staff who then come out to greet you. Such a great idea, because at all the other places I've been to was kind of haphazard and you just try to get someone's attention. They immediately took my car in to the shop and there were just a couple of other customers ahead of me. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. You get an estimate before service and then when it's done, they'll read through it for you line by line on a screen, you pay, and then they print you out an invoice. Excellent system! Efficient and transparent. The waiting area is small with only a few seats, but in my time there, many people came and left because the service really is quick. I did check out the prices in old pictures before coming and they seemed okay, but I was bummed to find that the prices have gone up even higher within just a 1-2 year time span. They seem to be higher than locally owned places I've been to, and for this reason, I will probably just stick to my regular garage. But if I'm ever in a pinch and need fast service, I would totally come back here to do it. read more

I have been going to Jiffy Lube for years. Recently, I had discovered that the recent technician torqued my drain plug on my car causing my oil pan to crack. I have not been in a recent accident, and I had not had issues with oil leaking out of my car ever. They could not change my oil because the drain plug was tightened too much from the previous service. Initially, I was told that this happens with old cars and was deceived by being told this was a car error. Also, I was told that the recent technician "forgot" to mention the oil pain crack and the drain plugs threads being stripped. The technician would have mentioned this the last time because he would not have been able to change my oil at all... I did my research, called my dealership, contacted a reliable mechanic, and I discovered that this was a technician error. I came back into the store, and I could tell that they knew that they were caught in a lie. They changed my oil but the damage is still there. I am now stuck with a $1,300 car repairment due to the lack of professional care. Jiffy Lube did not own up to their mistake the first or second time I came in. They should have made it right. Went to this Jiffy Lube for my first Oil Change. I paid for the premium upsell. Two weeks later my check engine light went off. I used an ODBII scanner and it said the problem was my oil filter. Seemed odd since my car is less than six months old and I i just had an oil change. I took my car into a garage and they noted the light was due to an oil filter as I mentioned. The guy then asked if I ever had an oil change, to which I replied I had a month ago. He laughed and said that's impossible because the drain bolt was still in factory condition complete with an unbroken seal. He even let me under try car to take a photo. It's crazy to me that this Jiffy Lube sold me a $99 oil change and literally did not change any oil. It does appear that my tires were rotated since a scratch on one of the tires moved locations, but this location lied to me and stole my money. I called the shop first before leaving the house to find out the current wait time for an oil change. The person on the phone said, "no wait" and he proved to be right. When I arrived, my car was taken in for service within 5 minutes. Here is the breakdown of the visit: - A worker checked me in and got my information. - They voluntarily took out my engine filter to show me its condition. They told me it wasn't that dirty and didn't need to be replaced. - I was asked what type of oil I wanted to use - They checked my windshield wipers and asked if I wanted them to replace them. - They let me know it'd be a 20 minute wait and I would pay for the service once it's done. - It ended up taking about 30 minutes before my car was done. I was charged $49.99 (before taxes) for 5 quarts of conventional, non-high mileage oil and new oil filter. They also voluntarily checked my tires and noticed a nail in one of my tires, and they also wiped down some of my windows. All around, good and friendly service. The reason why I rounded down to 4 stars is because of 2 reasons: 1) The wait--one of my biggest pet peeves is when someone tells me it's going to be x minutes but it ends up taking way longer. I'd rather it be the other way around where you overestimate and it ends up being shorter! 2) It was nice they wiped down my windows, but they must have done it with some not-so-clean towels. My windshield ended up having a bunch of streak marks that was not there before, and now it's hard to see out of it when the sun is at a certain angle. They charge too much for pennzoil platinum $45. It's only $23 for 5 quarts at Walmart. Total of $89 for synthetic oil change. Only needed 4+ quarts for my car. WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY BROKE MY F$&@ing CAR!!!! These guys totally just broke my radiator and made me think it was "due to erosion." And to top it off, they didn't offer me an apology, a discount, or an explanation. The guy at the counter showed me the issue and said I shouldn't drive my car, but when I said I live down the street, he said "oh, okay." Big mistake. Look, I'm a reasonable guy, so I thought I could drive this thing home since I live less than a quarter mile from the place. I pull up to the house, and the whole damn car is smoking!!!?! I had to pay full price so they can brake my car! I could not go back right away because I had to call around and look for a shop to TOW my car to, but seeing how it was after 5, it was too late. This was very, very frustrating and now I'm wondering if they even performed the basic $50.05 oil change I paid for. They also broke my wife's movie premiere lanyard, and I have no clue where it is. It's of sentimental value and now it's gone. I live an honest life. I believe in treating others as I would want to be treated. I never think about "getting over on someone" or cheating as something acceptable. That being said I had my wife go to get an oil change today at Jiffy Lube. For about $40 they promised to change the oil, vacuum, check and fill air in tires, top off the fluids, etc. Sounded fine to me. But as they changed her oil, they claimed she needed a cabin air filter. (Which was not true) So my wife unwittingly said ok, thinking that she needed it, so why not... When she got the bill at the end it was $40 for the oil change and $62 for a replacement of a filter that I could of done for $10. So my question is, as a man who lives an honest life, that loves his wife and takes it personal when she is bamboozled, how would you have reacted?!?! Let me tell you what I did... I called and told them that you cheating my wife is like cheating me and that I would be there momentarily to get my $62 back or there would be consequences and repercussions. I was ready to raise Hell like they were all atheists in Jiffy Lube. To their credit the manager was ready to clear up the situation right away when I arrived and he told me they would refund the $62. I am happy that they were ready to make peace with me, but I hate the fact that they thought it is ok to cheat my wife. To those going for an oil change, be careful, they will try to charge extra.
