Kids who were ready to look for new bikes today.
    Neetu S.

Do not come to this place. Bought our kids bikes here years ago and wanted to come back to size them up to a new set. Called and spoke with Rowan. Said we wanted to look at bikes and had questions. Said we would be there 25m before close. He said you can't buy a bike in that much time and was rude I said ok but maybe we can just look and he was still deterring us. I convinced my kids to just go look and buy later. We walked in and he came up and asked if we need help. I said I'm looking for bikes for my kids. He asked if I was the one who called and I said yes. He then waved us to look at the bikes ourselves saying they are behind on closing and he can't help us. Despicably rude and unprofessional. If they don't value your business then it's not worth your time. Terrible shop. Leaving now 20m before close and they refuse to help. Repeat customer ready to buy two bikes right now. This employee is an example of everything that is wrong with this generation. I must still believe he is representing the views of the owner. What a shame.

Great guys. And stood behind the costs after I got a flat an hour after I left. Solid place.

Order accepted. Credit card charged. No communication re: delay in shipment. Still have not received product. Poor customer service.

Even though I did not buy my bike from Wheel World, Cailen could not of been a better representative for the store.

After looking at reviews on Yelp!, I decided to give this place a try (I'd previously used a closer…read morenearby bike shop in Woodland Hills for another repair, but saw a few reviews that suggested it was time to give another shop a try). And to be honest, this wasn't even the bike shop I thought it was (I spotted another one nearby when running errands and thought this was it, but it I wasn't), but after reading positive Yelp! reviews I decided to give JB Bike Shop a shot, so called to ask how to proceed with my desired repair (I have an old ProFlex 3000 K2 mountain bike which I crashed a year ago on Topanga Cyn Blvd on a fast descent after suffering a rear tire blowout, and somehow managed to get the tire and tube wedged in the frame, meaning the metal wheel was permanently trashed after grinding down on the asphalt (a few spokes were broken and the edge of wheel had a few inches removed), with me having a bad case of road rash as a memento. When I recovered, I decided to get back on the horse that threw me, and realized I had the same-sized rear wheel on my old GT idrive 6.0, so transplanted it to my K2, taking the 8-cog cassette off of it and putting my 7-cog cartridge onto the wheel). But after another problem arose (brake pads needed to be replaced and since I was blinded in one eye about 20 years ago, what used to be an easy repair isn't so easy...), I decided it was high time to consult the pros and get both bikes back into rideable shape. So I called JB shop talked to Antonio, who said he'd give me a quote if I brought my bike in, so I did (BTW, they have free off-street parking behind the shop, and meters for those willing to park on Sherman Way or Alabama St). Antonio gave me a decent quote for the job so I said let's do it. He called me later that same day to tell me he found another problem (which I had suspected but forgot to mention: a rear broken axle on my transplanted wheel apparently was the cause of play in the rear wheel at low speeds, which I noticed recently as instability, but didn't register what was causing it and didn't even mention to him). Fortunately he was able to repair the axle of the wheel to avoid cost of needing to replace it, so was honest and trustworthy (a less-reputable repair shop might've taken advantage of a customer by telling them it couldn't be repaired, but Antonio obviously didn't do that). That rear wheel is now back on my organ donor GT (which I knew needed a new right shifter, too, and Antonio was able to replace it for a good price). When I picked up my bike the next day, it was cleaned, fully-lubed and road-ready, with a new rear wheel installed, my old hub packed and cassette put on a new wheel (and the wheel is a nice black color, so aesthetically better). Of course, since I ride daily on old dirt Mulholland Road, it's not going to stay clean for long, but it's nice to see the original paint again. As a retired doc, I know customer service is the key to success in ANY business, and Antonio and his staff are friendly, communicate well, and professional, so earn my highest recommendation!

Just a week or two ago they were able to press one of my jersey. I didn't have the number kit and advise me to get one and they would be able to press it I mean I'm reasonable, and I understand rules can change, but I did buy my jersey on your website and still not be able to get it pressed is a bit disappointing. After I left the store I called two of their other locations. Both of them told me they could press my jersey and that I would just need to pay for the jersey number installation. That left me confused because I was getting completely different answers from different Nicky's Sports locations. I called back to speak with the manager Jason hoping to get some clarification. Unfortunately he didn't seem very concerned and simply told me he had to follow the owner's instructions. I understand there may be some risk involved with pressing customer jerseys and I respect that. My issue is that there doesn't seem to be consistent communication or policies between locations. If the policy has changed it should have been communicated clearly to both employees and customers. What should have been a quick and simple service turned into a frustrating experience. Because of this I won't be doing business with Nicky's Sports anymore in person or online. I'll be buying my jerseys elsewhere, or to another local shop that values having values there business while displaying good communication and customer service.
