So grateful to have found this salon and Rebekah! Who is an absolute magician with her work and a blast to hang with I came to her after damaging my hair with demi-permanent box dye. In the past year, she has helped me to go through different sessions to renew my hair health, all while transform my hair color/style each time I see her! This salon is so well informed and provides the sweetest service.

This by far is the best salon you'll ever go to. The experience is 10/10. Makenna Young did my hair and she blew my expectations away. Everyone in the salon is so friendly. They even personalize cute menus for you . Book you appointment ASAP. This place is amazing.

So I really didn't want to write a review cause that's really not who I am but after all I've gone through I think I should. After finding Lo Wheeler on IG, I was so eager for her to maybe be my next stylist. Unfortunately at the time she wasn't accepting new clients & recommended I saw Coco. In November, I went & saw Coco. Don't get me wrong everyone is super sweet but I never really felt like anyone cared. I didn't know the salon double booked my first visit & didn't realize that Coco was barely going to do my hair & it was assistants. I felt like after my visit with Coco I had a lot of breakage in my front pieces & top pieces. Me being super sweet, I kind of just let it go and made sure I never double booked again. A couple months later I saw Lo was accepting new clients, it was a dream come true. I was SO excited to get my hair done by her. I ALWAYS do hair consults because I think it's the best way to see if the hair stylist can accomplish what you want & if not offer something different. I wanted to go silver platinum & get rid of the honey in my ends. From what was visible to me, it looked like that was accomplished & I was SOOOO happy. I went to get a blow out from a different stylist & she showed me a huge chunk of brown in the back of my head. I contacted Lo & she explained that my appointment was mostly just breaking up the honey in my ends & that we could fix that in my next appointment. After paying $600 & tipping $120, I was kind of confused to why my whole head wasn't done. But I trusted the stylist and decided to go back again... I returned to the salon in April for a touch up but Lo was barely there because she was doing her prior clients hair just styling it so she could take pictures and I was left with her new assistant Diane for majority of the time. I felt like Lo really didn't care about me or my hair even though I really liked her & supported her. I dont know what it was but I still went back to the salon to get my hair toned. I think I really just hoped for the best & wanted this salon to like me as much as I liked them. This was the last straw. Kristen Force toned my hair & during the service she stopped & refused service saying I have lice. First off, I wash my hair once every week sometimes I go 9 days. Lice love clean hair. & I also blow dry my hair everyday.... don't have kids or go around kids and barely go out to eat however, they refused service & made me leave the salon & go to my doctor. SO EMBARRASSING. Guess what my doctor said I didn't have lice I wanted a second opinion so I went to a lice check place where they perform an extensive search to see. They said I DEFINITELY DID NOT HAVE LICE. Lo wasn't at the salon that day as I think if she was, it wouldn't of happen. But that's no excuse it's her job to educate her stylist on what lice is versus product buildup & dandruff. Lo & Kristin did try to make it right offering me a tone blow out & style for free because of the situation. That was nice of her & I appreciate it. But that doesn't change the fact I spent a week itching all over because of my anxiety, it doesn't change the fact I was so embarrassed & it doesn't change the fact that now I feel so uncomfortable & awkward I will never go back. My hair has so much breakage all over. I use the best products & Lo knows that. So I don't know what went wrong or why they didn't like me & wanted to run me away as a client. I really didn't want to write this review but after a lot of consideration I think those thinking about going to this salon should be aware of WHAT COULD HAPPEN TO THEM. Editing my review because the owner, Lo, reached out to be on IG.. trying to reason with me & get me to take down the review. After not being able to make feel super bad about writing review, she blocked me. Really unprofessional as I was trying to talk with her & allow her to look at things from my perspective instead she just got over it & blocked me. Also Kristen reached out to me & was very professional & I think genuinely sorry about the misunderstanding. Like everyone I wish it didn't have to be like this as I really did LOVE this salon, it's super cute, so are all the girls that work there & they all have good personalities.... I just think something went wrong.... maybe assistants mixed bleach with too high of a volume instead of using a lower volume to keep integrity of my hair. I dont know, I'm not a hair stylist but my hair isn't healthy now. To comment back to Jason (Lo's Husband) I dont know what products Coco could've recommend me using as I have already been using oribe for the last couple years. I have pics of my hair from B4 & After wheeler breakage is OBVIOUS & this was the first time Diane had ever been there. Diane's daughter is normally who assists Lo & she is a NEW stylist..... Honestly anyone still reading this long ass review, just know if something goes wrong with your hair here they will someway switch it back on you.

I went to the salon so excited to have my hair done. I'm a college student who works full-time and I saved up a lot of money to go to a high-end salon to get a quality service. In all fairness, the color was very nice. However the color was started so far from my roots. Less than two short weeks later I had to contact the stylist to let her know that the color was started entirely too low. I was referred to speak to the manager Matt. I finally contacted the salon about three weeks after my original appointment. I spoke with Jason who I later found out is an owner. He told me that Matt was out and would be returning the following week. I did receive a follow up from Matt three days after having spoken with Jason, only to find out that there was absolutely nothing the salon was willing to do for me. Their only suggestion was to return to the salon to do a touch up for an additional $250 on top of the $400 I had already spent for the original appointment. They kept saying that they were notified too far after the original appointment despite the fact that I had notifies my stylist less than two weeks later. They kept referencing the "color" even though I had made it clear it was not about the color, it was about WHERE the color started. Not even two weeks after my original appointment my hair looked as though it had grown out 4-5 months despite it not even having been ONE month. I tried to reason with the salon, but they were incredibly inflexible and did not offer any type of equitable resolution whatsoever. I drove to the salon from San Diego with eager anticipation. They treated me as though I was trying to get something for free which is so far removed from my character it's not even funny. I simply wanted to be satisfied with the service I got from a "high end" salon. Instead I was let down by their unwillingness to work with their customer and their attempts to shift blame to the customer. It's despicable business practice. You learn a lot about people and businesses when they are faced with adversity. Of course they'll be great to you IF you don't complain. But if you are not happy with the outcome, expect them to make every excuse to avoid accountability. It was truly disappointing.

I love this salon such a fun and cute vibe! Heather is AMAZING!! Such a great friendly personality and the only Hairstylist to accomplish the coloring and cut I've been wanting for my hair. Heather goes above and beyond for her clients to make sure that you're happy with the finished product. I highly recommend Heather for all of your hair needs she is a true ARTIST!!

Rebekah is my HAIR MAGICIAN. I came to her for the first time back in March with terrible root growout and painfully brassy hair from using blonding shampoo. I have never left a salon fully satisfied with my cut or color, but even just after one first session I was blown away with how good my hair looked and felt. She has continued to blow me away with each subsequent session, working with me to achieve my perfect hair vision and sending me off each time feeling so so confident. Not to mention she is so sweet and such a pleasure to spend a couple hours with. I'm not sure I will ever trust anyone else with my hair!!

Beware this will be a long review honest with detail my situation is a completely diffrent situation then your average . So I came in with " black box died hair" the former employee promised to give me the results I asked for however within several sessions which is complete understandable as to I had boxed dyed hair . But several issues came into place first I walked out and looked the same and paid $540 including $100 tip. Yes, I still tipped because this employee was a mother and I have compassion for others and am very understanding. However , she thought it looked nice and I was scared to hurt her feelings . However , when I got home, I cried . I then texted her and kindly said I just felt like I saw no difference. She then texted me back and said no worries I got you so my heart was at ease . I get no one in this world is perfect we are human we all have bad days we do not work on a robotic system . So I went back a week later. Heather began to strip my hair after the process was going for about a hour she then stated the color removal is on her which runs $1000 but if you want color it will be a extra $350 my heart sank as to I was stuck in a position I had no way out and I already had paid over 540$ but at this point what can I do besides continue and never look back . So she proceeded then stated once again she's going to cover removal which is 600$ WAIT $600????? ((In my head)) you just stated 1000$ 20 min ago. Then proceeded with if I wanted color it will be a additional 350$ . I then said ok once again, at this point my stomach doesn't feel good. It makes me sad when I feel someone is trying to get over on me. Heather is done washing my hair then proceeded to style and as she kept saying how nice it looked. I am not a fake individual and trying to crack a smile as I'm trying to protect her feeling was so completely hard cause I really wanted to burst into tears cause here goes another $350 plus tip for striped orange hair . So I paid . Once I got home I just let her know how I felt. I will include those texts along with photos of before and after both times . She refunded me 300$ then completely blocked me she was not apologetic whatsoever . She didn't care, I was more then willing to give her chances even though it was destroying my hair and willing to continue to pay and tip her well all she had to do was fix my hair that one time as she promised. This review is a HUGE lesson to not only stylists but also consumers as well . Do not take on big projects that you are not comfortable with. Its ok to say no we as clients honestly value your honesty. And in turn you could gain a forever client. We all want a relationship we can TRUST. Clients: set your expectations at bay, don't expect to turn box dyed hair into the photo of the model you choose it unfortunately, it doesn't work that way . However, seeing a change is something you should see and In my situation my hair looked the same after hours of work . And not to mention me driving 2 hours away to get there 2x within a wk and a half time frame . So I will conclude this , Heather took on a big project she was not comfortable with nor had the expertise to fulfill . And instead of saying no she took on a job she knew she couldn't do. If you respect and value your position as a stylist ,greed shouldn't come within. Heather was not part of wheeler Davis she rented a booth therefor doesn't come with the expertise and client care that the other girls were trained to do . She is no longer there so you don't have to worry about this situation at this particular saloon. And now it's rave time!!!! Ok , so I honestly can not put into words how entirely grateful I am for Lo whom is the owner of this saloon . I've never seen anyone bend there back so much to make the situation right. She is extremely busy but got me in ASAP and took time out of her busy life to make me happy she didn't have to she didn't do this to me nor was this her employee. So I honestly didn't expect anything . But she has such a HUGE heart that she did . She dedicated her entire day to me I was there from opening to closing . Not only did I get beautiful hair at no charge she wouldn't even except my tip and even gave me a free conditioner because she cares that much she wanted to make sure my hair had the right products to get back to a healthy state for our next visit . I also learned so much from her aside of her being a master at what she does and caring for others . The positive energy she brings seriously has you leaving thinking. I learned new recipes that would help my son who suffers from chronic eczema, and I learned new things that in turn gave me a better prospective of my loved ones . Jason is so kind , and accommodating to those around him. He greeted me with a personalized menu with my name. And even offered to order me food being I was there so long . The girls are all so sweet and always smiling . I couldn't recommend this place enough!

I've been going to Wheeler Davis for over a year now and seeing Kayla for my extension needs..I'm not kidding when I say this-Kayla could literally light my head on fire and I would love anything she does. She NAILS my hair every single time, she just really understands my hair goals and needs and I always feel like a million dollars when I leave there. Truthfully I can't say enough nice things about the salon and all of the women that work there. They are all talented, and friendly! For me I fly in from out of town and it feels like a vacation-so grateful to have found them!!

yooo bro who got you smiling like that? it's hannah from wheeler davis salon ok but seriously, i came in expecting a balayage and what i received was so much more! hannah used a combination of foils, baby lights and hand painted balayage to create a stunning palette. you would truly think that i was born with this head of hair. beyond the color, the people in the salon create this incredible ambiance. matt was the first to welcome me with a huge ass smile and a menu with complimentary beverages / little snacks. i highly value stylists/colorists, and i think the prices here are more than fair. my appointment was 3 1/2 hours long, and i felt that i was given 110% attention the entire time. that is worth everything!

I really enjoy going to this cute salon, I go to Carolyn (she's the best of the best) she makes me feel pampered every time I see her. Today I went in and got my hair lightened, Carolyn went over what would be best for my lightening my hair up since I had dark hair, she took her time on perfecting my hair the exact way in which I had shown her the picture of what I wanted to compare my hair to. I have never been happier with the way someone treats me as soon as I walk into a salon, the time, effort, friendship I've developed and comfortability. This is hands down the cutest salon EVER and I will never go to anyone else. I love this place!! read more

I ADORE Wheeler Davis. I drive up from San Diego because I do not trust anyone else with my hair. I have been coming here for about 4 years now, and I have never left not loving my hair. There has been some stylist turnover since I have been here, so I've had 3 different girls- all amazing. I usually get hand painted balayage with money pieces in front and it always lasts me 4-5 months! I like to be low maintenance so it is perfect for me. Love that they make you a latte or let you sip on a glass of rose- I always leave feeling so relaxed. Can't recommend enough. Love the Wheeler Davis team. xx read more

So happy with my hair!!. Hannah nailed it! My hair was a complete mess and she made it look and feel amazing. She is so sweet, personable and I had such a nice time chatting with her. Sibella is my stylist here and she's AMAZING. She always does such a fantastic job! I'm a natural brunette who goes rooty blonde and I always leave with THE SOFTEST hair, and really gorgeous color and cut/style on top of it. She won't be a "yes" woman just to keep you happy, only for you to go home and hate your hair. She'll tell you honestly what she thinks will look good and what is possible, all with your hair health in mind. She's super big on keeping the integrity of your hair, so trust your stylists ladies!!! That being said, she wants you to leave happy overall and is always checking in, making sure to give you EXACTLY the color/length/style you want and working with you to get there. There was even a time where my bangs didn't lift as much as we'd have liked (I lift way slower than someone typically would with my color) and it was my first time with her). She was the one to call it out, even before I could say anything, and she spent her time fixing it so I left happy! And the next time, she remembered and made adjustments to get it perfect the first time. Some stylists would pretend not to notice to avoid the extra work, but not her. She's not afraid to put in the time to get it right. She's absolutely an amazing stylist, especially for blondes (but I've seen her other amazing color work so maybe that's too limiting). I got my hair done for the very first time at this salon and I'm so happy I did it with Heather! Not only was the place super cute, the staff was very friendly and professional as well. Heather did a great job of helping me achieve the exact look I wanted and I had such an amazing experience with her! I was nervous since it was my first time dying my hair, but I felt at ease with how professional this place and the staff were. I finally found my forever salon! WDS is wonderful I have gotten more compliments on my hair in the past 6 months since I started going here then I ever have (thank you Hannah) and I have been to some very high end well known salons. I love the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that goes into my hair color each time, they really are true hair artists. I also love the fact they only do one client at a time so your not sitting around waiting or having random assistants doing your hair. Their full attention is on you making sure your hair turns out just perfect! The whole staff makes your visit a wonderful experience! I highly recommend WDS! read more

So, this place is adorable. Heather did my hair and honestly made me feel amazing. I had no idea what I wanted for my hair (per usual) so I'm a little bit of a handful to handle lol, heather showed me her work, suggested a cut and color (I also am scared of cuts) and she blewwww me away. The salon, a dream! So cute, staff so nice. Would 100% recommend I also already booked my next appointment so it's safe to say they're stuck with me :) 10/10 guys! Keep it up. read more

Been here 3 times now, and I'm super pleased with the results! Kimi has taken my hair from medium/dark brown to bright blonde over a period of 3 visits. She told me this up front, because she didn't want to fry my hair off with too much bleach in one visit. I think it's my favorite hair color yet! The place is a bit trendy, which I found to be a little intimidating when I first walked in, but I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service and kindness of the whole staff. I can't speak to the quality of other stylists but Kimi is awesome, and I highly recommend! read more

Wheelhouse is a great salon with amazing energy and people, but definitely ask for Alex Hammers. She has been my stylist for years and I followed her when she switched salons. She is the hair GURU! Cut, extensions, color (especially color), styles, she can do it all with extreme precision and perfectionism. Did I mention she also does makeup?!? Literally can do it all. Don't believe me? I have been getting my hair done by the AMAZING Makenna Young for 3 years now. She does a wonderful job every time. I always leave feeling so good and beautiful. What I love most about her technique is my hair still looks lovely as it grows out and the brightness lasts so long. I am so happy she is at Wheeler Davis Salon:) the aesthetic is so adorable inside and everyone is so kind and welcoming! Plus they provide beverages and snacks. I've been wanting to come to this salon for years and my only regret is not coming sooner! I got my hair done with Hannah and she did an amazing job. I have naturally very dark hair that has been hard to lighten in the past and she was able to get me to my goal while keeping my hair healthy. Her attention to detail made me feel so comfortable after having bad lightening experiences in the past. The salon itself is so cute and everyone who works there is warm and inviting. A total experience! Definitely next level self care Rebekah felt like an old friend. Super easy to talk to and her vibe was mellow, genuine and just really lovely. She listened, did her magic and the results were gorgeous! I feel like myself but with a beautiful beach glow. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment. Been coming to wherever Davis for over a year now to see hannah, she has been amazing! She's done everything from touch up my roots to completely fixing my diy pandemic dye job. This salon always goes above an beyond with their snack and drink menu to their top of the line products (love Olaplex and hannah recently turned me on to Oribe). I also like their online booking system, so easy to use and it sends email reminders for each appointment. I never feel rushed or like they are overbooked, compared to some other salons. What a wonderful experience, as usual! The Wheeler Davis team is in a category of it's own kind. Not only was I warmly greeted with a printed out menu of snacks and drinks, but the salon is super zen and really comfy. Rebekah is SUCH a PRO. She took time to really understand what I wanted to do with my hair, which was kind of a lot in terms of a change - She executed my vision exactly! I went from long hair to a long bob and she took me quite a bit lighter which I am super pumped about. Time flew by because she is SO positive, such a travelista, and such a conversationalist extraordinaire. It was a blast to get my hair done by her. I cannot wait until my next appointment so we can talk about our dogs and just life in general! read more

First off the aesthetic of this salon is great. Everything is clean, organized, and the indie chic theme is something you'd see off Pinterest. On a more serious note, I've been going to Amanda for my hair for months and I absolutely love her. She initially saved my hair from a bad dye job in the past and has never disappointed. Back in the summer time I went to Coco to get my hair done. Let me tell you, this girl is SO talented and on top of that she is the sweetest person. She took her time on my hair and really pays attention to detail. My hair still looks good from the last time she did it. She did my hair so when my root grows out it still looks natural. I use to go to a Instagram famous hairdresser in San Diego and I use to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars and still walk out of the salon unhappy with hair that wasn't even close to my inspo pictures. I switched it up and started to go to Sibella and on my first appointment I showed her my inspo and we came up with a game plan to eventually get to where I wanted to be (my natural base is SO dark)!! I walked out of the salon SO HAPPY and in love with the outcome and my hair felt super healthy too! She's literally the best hairdresser I've ever gone to!!! This is not my name. But I came in and showed colorist numerous pictures. She said she understood. But she added so many low lights that it over powered any blonde which didn't lift anywhere near what it needed to. She absolutely didn't put the time in and the placement was so off!!! Whatever it is you are looking for great color, exceptional service, a cute studio, or simply the most amazing head massage in town - you will find it all with Rebekah at Wheeler Davis Salon! I came in as a color correction. My hair was literally red/purple with silver streaks - it was a horrible botched job from a different salon. Rebekah not only corrected it but brought my beachy blonde back to life and made it look fantastic. She is so talented. I've seen Rebekah three times now for routine blonde color maintenance and every time she nails it. I get compliments every time I leave there. I won't trust my hair to anyone else (and I'm picky). To add to her skilled coloring techniques, Rebekah truly is the kindest person. She clearly cares about each of her clients and takes the time to get to know you. She remembers the craziest of details - and it is because she genuinely cares. Getting your hair done is a long time commitment but it flies by and is so fun with her! was warned to stay away from this hair salon personally from many experienced hair stylists... i'm glad i cancelled and didn't go through with my consult because shortly after they fried my friends hair trying to get it lighter and then wrongly accused her of having lice. Not only that but i was told the girl i was having a consult with was highly experienced... i learned from several other hair stylist friends that that is not true. I've been coming here and seeing Kenzie as my stylist for a few months now and it is honestly the best salon i've ever been to. Kenzie is AMAZING and took my hair from jet black to bright blonde wich is one of the hardest things to do. I have been going to Mia for the last few years so I had to follow her when she made her move to Wheeler Davis. The salon is SO cute, clean, and I didn't feel uncomfortable or crammed like I have at other busy salons. The views driving in were to die for and I'll make the longer drive any day for Mia. She is my hair guru I've always been super picky about how much to cut off but I've gotten to the point where I let Mia do her thing. How they can take money and know they in no way delivered what I paid for and it all fell out in the first two weeks?! The professional salon I turned to and had to pay the same again , has don't it correctly and not a single one has fallen out in over a month on top of fixed the color and roots and were shocked at what salon bamboo allowed anyone to pay for and treated so poorly!

Looking for a new stylist as a queer/trans person already comes with a lot of anxiety around whether a space will actually be safe and welcoming. Sadly, this interactions let me know that my concerns were real. I can't speak to their intentions, but I can speak to the impact: I did not feel welcomed, wanted, or safe as a prospective LGBTQ client. I wish businesses could be more direct about who they aren't prepared to serve, because being quietly redirected elsewhere after explicitly asking for a queer/trans-friendly space feels awful.

I specifically told her I did not want anything stripey, chunky, or with any yellow/gold/brassy tones. Unfortunately, the result was the complete opposite of what we discussed. The highlights came out noticeably chunky and stripey, with harsh lines, poor blending, and a distinct brassy yellow tone that makes my hair look damaged and unnatural. I've never had a salon service turn out this poorly before. Lauren herself was kind and professional during the appointment, and I believe she tried her best. However, the final result does not match what was agreed upon, and it has left my previously healthy virgin hair looking compromised. I reached out to Kate Lane management the next business day with photos from multiple angles showing the issues (patchy application, thick streaks, harsh lines, and brassy color). I politely explained that I was too upset to return for a correction and requested a full refund for the highlighting service. They have refused to issue any refund. I'm extremely disappointed in both the quality of the work and the salon's unwillingness to stand behind their service when it clearly did not meet the client's explicit instructions. This experience has cost me time, money, and confidence. I would have still returned to the salon for regular haircuts and to purchase hair products if management had handled this situation differently. I have had my haircut here many times and it was always a nice experience. Unfortunately, I cannot even recommend them for that anymore. Customer service is everything and this situation was not handled fairly or appropriately. I would not recommend Kate Lane Salon for color services, especially highlights. Proceed with caution -- or better yet, go somewhere else.

Reflecting on an experience from five years ago that still weighs on me, I feel compelled to share my story. I visited WheelerDavis for highlights and was seen to by a new stylist. Despite her recent arrival at the salon, she was pleasant. However, during the process, she added dark, patchy shadowing, giving the appearance of roots rather than the desired lighter look. Upon realizing this, I gently expressed my dissatisfaction, noticing her reaction of dismay, I reassured her that it wasn't solely her fault and proposed fixing it in a couple of days. Unfortunately, due to the salon's lack of an official appointment system at the time and reminders, I missed the follow-up appointment, which I take responsibility for, especially given my imminent trip abroad. To my surprise, the next day, I received a call from Jason Wheeler, the male owner, who proceeded to berate me for allegedly yelling at the stylist to the point of tears. I was taken aback by his accusations and attempts to manipulate the situation, especially considering the stylist's recent tenure, which she had disclosed to me as only a month. Despite my denial of such behavior asking of he had cameras in salon so he could see there was no such incident (which he ignored), he persisted in his claims, stating he had been working with her for a year and she had never shown distress. This discrepancy left me in disbelief, and I found myself apologizing to placate the situation, despite my own shock and confusion. Thankfully, reaching out to the female owner proved to be a positive experience. She responded with empathy, even going so far as to rectify the issue herself on her day off after I sent her pictures. She also offered insight into the challenges faced by younger stylists still honing their skills. In summary, while my experience at the salon was soiled by this incident, I acknowledge that they have many satisfied clients. However, upon reviewing negative feedback, it's apparent that constructive criticism is not received well by the male owner. Mistakes are inevitable, but accountability and professionalism are key to maintaining a positive reputation and integrity. read more

Not sure why my first review was deleted and I was BLOCKED... Very unprofessional to say the least... I came in to get a consultation for my daughter and I before my wedding. I wanted to get a cut, blonde balayage touch up (from my previous salon) and my daughter wanted a hair cut and to have her hair colored a chocolate brown. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. The salon is very cute and decorated well but the employees are not very welcoming. All the girls sadly seemed a bit fake which is upsetting because we were looking forward to coming here. From the moment we walked in, girls stared at us and we were waiting for a good 30 minutes before someone came over to help us. I immediately felt uncomfortable. I was quoted $60 for each hair cut, $300 for balayage touch up, and $100 for my daughters coloring. This salon is very pricey and we felt very uncomfortable once we were inside. For future reference, please be more kind to your customers (or future customers) and its very odd that you would delete my comment and BLOCK me after I've had such a bad experience. Instead of treating potential clients with respect. Customers are allowed to write reviews and I feel, the experience I've endured deserves a review. So upset I came here for the first time ever after my consultation to get a balayage and it turned out horrible! My stylist was Carolyn. I did do some research about this salon and others in the area (we live on base close to San Clemente). I've heard from other people on Instagram and stylists saying not to come here and that some of the Wheeler Davis stylists are not experienced enough. I left with my hair soaking wet. Which is so weird! So, after I left the salon I went home and was greeted by my husband who was the first to say it didn't look right. And that someone had definitely messed up. Then the next day I scheduled an appointment at a new salon and they told me they would fix it for FREE! I would 100% recommend not coming here. My hair is so damaged because Carolyn was trying to lighten it up. My hair is so thin and damaged. Attached is a photo of my hair after Carolyn was finished. Definitely not balayage. I'm very upset because I did pay quite a bit of money and came all the way from LA. She is VERY unresponsive and hasn't been helpful or caring throughout the whole process. Not sure why she's ignored me since I got my hair done. I feel like she doesn't care. I was really eager to get my hair done! I haven't been to a salon in years due to schooling and work and never having the time. I needed a change. I'm very upset at this situation and how she nor anyone else at the salon has helped me or attempted to fix my hair. My hair feels thin, brittle, and very damaged. If someone at the salon can fix my hair, I'd like someone with a little more experience. For the amount of money you guys charge, my hair should be perfect. I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hair done by Lo at Wheeler David Salon, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Lo is incredibly talented and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. She gave me great recommendations and worked her magic to achieve the perfect cut and color. I walked out feeling like a brand new person! Not only is Lo skilled, but she's also personable and easy to talk to, which made the entire experience enjoyable. She's hands down the best when it comes to creating that perfect beach-washed hair that looks like you just stepped out of the ocean after a day of surfing. Why is it so hard to make an appointment ??? I've called and no answer. I've filled out the long form online and no response. Wtf??? I found "wheeler Davis salon" Instagram page and would have loved to get my hair balayage. I just moved to Cali because my husband is military. We recently just moved from San Clemente to on base in Oceanside area. This salon looked amazing when I lived in San Clemente but why is it so hard to make an appointment? After calling and filling out forms with no response I've tried contacting Halle on Instagram and no response. She's been ignoring me for 4 days! I commented on a photo on her hair page saying I wanted to make an appointment. She ignored me. Yet she continues to post photos on that Instagram page???? Hmmm. rude!!!!! Will not be coming here and I will recommend everyone not coming here. read more

I came in to get a consultation for my daughter and I before my wedding. I wanted to get a cut, blonde balayage touch up (from my previous salon) and my daughter wanted a hair cut and to have her hair colored a chocolate brown. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED to say the least. The salon is very cute and decorated well but the employees are not very welcoming. All the girls seem a bit fake. From the moment we walked in, the girls stared at us and we were waiting for a good 30 minutes before someone came over to help us. I immediately felt uncomfortable. I was quoted $60 for each hair cut, $300 for balayage touch up, and $100 for my daughters coloring. This salon is way too expensive and we felt very uncomfortable once we were inside. I'm sorry but I think we will find another salon and I hope no one else encounters these problems. :( read more

Where do I start! Lo made me feel like a queen and its no exaggeration that it was the best salon experience of my life! Lo gave me attention, worked with me as an individual, didn't rush getting my hair just right and I left looking ten years younger, REALLY! Anyone who is lucky enough to sit in her chair is blessed to be with this amazingly talented artist! Came here to get a cut and color and it didn't come out at all how I wanted. My stylist kept giving me attitude and this salon is WAY over priced. It's also very difficult to make an appointment because no one answers the phone or gets back to you after you've filled out an appointment form online. After reading the reviews on this place, I noticed the owner likes to respond to customers giving attitude and being defensive also. That's very unprofessional. Safe to say I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend anyone coming here. Really disappointed. read more

I love this salon. The decor is adorable, shabby chic. They offered me a mimosa and everyone there is really nice and awesome. I started going there because my stylist Alex Hammers moved here. She is so amazing at my color and my extensions I had to follow her here. It's a bit of drive me coming from RSM but I love her and the salon too. I highly recommend Alex to anyone that wants there hair to look fabulous. I Even come one a week for a blow dry bc she always make my hair way more amazing then I ever can. Was on vaca visiting girlfriends and was in desperate need of color and a blowout before last minute invite to a big gala. I'm super picky and asked tons of people where to go and heard Wheeler Davis was the best in Laguna and to specifically see Hannah R. Not sure if I loved my hair or her more, but she was super fun, sweet, made me look like a goddess and gave me tons of great recommendations in the area. Only negative was I don't live in the state to come more, but had such a great experience and love that the salon is women owned. read more

A-MAZING hair! Hannah is simply amazing with beach blond on asians. I looked like I stepped off a Paris runway. Drivers did double takes as I walked to my car from the salon. This session Hannah added shadow roots to blend the harsh dark regrowth and added subtle pop of blond. The overall look is a natural sun kissed hair base. I will add the big pop of blond on the second visit now that I have a professional looking base. I highly recommend Hannah since I have black asian hair with need for color correction. read more

What a beautiful salon !! Every time you arrive you are greeted and made to feel very special.. The decor or the salon is very warm and inviting. Minimal not over done, classy with a definite beach vibe .... Lo ( the owner ) has been doing my hair for years. She is an artist in what she does. Hannah R. is a hair wizard. If you're thinking about booking with her, DO IT! I have long but fine, flat hair and I've always struggled with how to cut and style it. Then Hannah showed me the light, she listened to my concerns, talked me through her suggestions, and then boom once she was done my previously fine, flat hair had volume and depth! She gave me a blunt cut with face framing and even showed me tips on how to style it. I've never loved my hair more. read more

Rebekah and the Wheeler Davis team are the best of the best! Rebekah is so friendly and really takes the time to get to know the customer and what their goals are. She's done my hair 3 times now and each time I'm blown away. Another super enjoyable experience with Hannah and the team at Wheeler Davis! I have super thick and curly hair that isn't the easiest to work with, but this babe knows what she's doing! I really value the natural sun bleached look, so I'm grateful Hannah was able to create a colour profile that makes me look like a mermaid that's washed up on a tropical beach. My only disappointment was the girl I booked with canceled/left salon and although I was lucky enough to not have my appointment canceled, my entire row of extensions came out entirely after 5 weeks.
