Waited a few hours, no call back. Called again asking for out the door price of the same bike. I was told they were gonna call back in 5 minutes. Again, no call back. I think they should respect customers a little more. I am a serious buyer and had high hopes. This past Tuesday, my Yamaha bicycle dreams came true. Thank you Wheels in Motion. For the past month, I've been looking for a new bicycle for this season. I had this recurring dream where I biked every weekend and lost tons of weight. During one of my late light Internet shopping sprees, I noticed Wheels In Motion had one of the bicycles I was looking for, in stock. Wow. FYI, there's still a bicycle shortage. I used their request a quote feature on their website. Someone amazingly got back to me. The next day, I called in sick at work and made my way down. The selection of this store is amazing. So much cool stuff. Too bad they don't have Honda motorcycles. I would have picked up a Super Cub if they had it. Mike Garcia and his crew were very helpful. I was so happy when I got the keys to my new bicycle. A few minor nits though. The little watch battery was not installed on LCD screen. Tires were 20 psi and should have been 50-60psi. The little frame protector plastic nub that protects the frame from cable rub was installed under the LCD screen. It should have been on the brake cable. No biggie. Hopefully, by June, I'll be back to 190 pounds. read more

I'm not sure what the deal is with a lot of SoCal motorcycle dealers, but being in the industry, I interact with a lot of them. And always seem to encounter something off at most. Wheels in Motion I had thought was the exception, but it turned out I was wrong. I contacted them via web form 5 days ago. Specifically detailed everything I was interested in with no nonsense and nothing left up to question. Specifically said I was interested in a specific bike they had listed everywhere. Asked for the best otd price they could give me. Gave them my zip for tax purposes. Told them I was highly motivated but didn't want to haggle back and further. I get contacted by my preferred means by two different reps. Matt via email and Cameron via text 3 days later. Matt asked what Im specifically wanting to know. Clear, he didn't read my contact form. Cameron answers my question directly. I tell Cameron it sounds like we're in the same range and can make a deal as long as he can confirm for me the bikes condition and of any known issues. He responds a day later and calls me. I missed his call but called him back in under 30 minutes. He talks to me about the bike. Everything sounds good. Then he ends saying he'll send photos but.... there's a catch someone already has the bike on hold for sale. At this point I'm thinking why didn't they both just tell me this in the first interaction. But say ok well keep me posted as if it doesn't sell I'll come right up with full cash offer. He says he will reach back out and send photos. Next day. No photos are sent, and there no update on the sale of the Bike. I message him asking for an update twice. No response. The following day I get a message back that the bike sold (of course it did after stringing me back and for days) but they have a 9 year old totally different platform bike of the same manufacture (which I already own). Total waste of time. Guys, just be straightforward with your customers. There's no need to beat around the bush. If a bike is on hold for another customer, say it on first contact don't keep customers as emergency backups. It's shaddy. read more

I bought several bikes from this place and have known them for many, many years. I've always thought I could also trust them with my repair needs. This particular review is for their service department. I brought my bike in for an annual service, this is literally a brand new bike. When they initially called me, they told me that they were having issues doing updates/ diagnostics to the bike's computer, and it would take them several days to diagnose. Then they told me that my brake pads and rotors were worn. Then they told me the bike "potentially" had electrical issues. If this bike is still under the manufacturer's warranty, why would you not address these issues? Then, when I asked for the estimate to replace the brake pads and rotors, I had to wait two days. When I decided to get a second opinion from another dealer, they immediately told me that the bike was not safe to ride. Took my bike to another place, and they told me that they found no issues with the brake pads and rotors. They also have to drain some of the oil on the engine, because these guys overfill the engine oil. So I have to pay an additional charge to drain the oil. It would have been great if they did not resort to bait-and-switch tactics. Now I know that I would rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Instead of a smooth transaction, I am left waiting for three days now while they replaced the battery. To make matters worse, I have yet to receive a update call. Jc was the person that sold the bike to me and before I can even get it delivered it to my home the bike was in the shop getting "checked". I decided to take the CMSP (California Motorcyclist Safety Program) and when I completed the course went straight to the DMV to get my Motorcycle endorsement license M1. The instructors at the class recommended Wheels in Motion and I saw why. The showroom was huge! The moment you walked in you were quickly greeted. I reached out to Christian and he was extremely helpful showing me all available choices for new riders, I sat on many in the showroom and decided on the 2024 Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS, khaki/ ebony color, very classy color. I got a killer deal on it. It was in the warehouse and took 5 days to arrive. I probably drove Christian crazy because I practically called him every day when my bike would arrive but he was so cool about. Great guy! When I went to see my bike JC helped me out to take it home because Christian was off that day and I decided to pick the bike up early. JC was also great guy and took care of all what needed to be done to finalize my new Vulcan S. Overall, I had great experience with Christian and JC. Some time back we went to Wheels and Motions, we saw a wide selection of bikes at amazing prices compared to alternative dealers. Initially, customer service seemed great, making it one of the best places to shop for a bike. However, our experience quickly soured. After purchasing our bike at an amazing price, we waited some weeks longer for it to be delivered. Despite multiple reminders, the staff often didn't know who we were and said they would call us back. A month later, we called again, and they say "it's going to be ready soon." We were informed that some parts hadn't been repaired and needed more time. When we finally received the bike about a 3 months later, it didn't work and wouldn't turn on. Wheels and Motions told us they couldn't help because we hadn't purchased an extended insurance plan and the bike had been bought a while back. Despite explaining that the bike had been under their care since purchase, they stuck to their policy, offering no assistance. Attempts to reach the original seller were unsuccessful, as it seems they no longer work there. The bike was unusable, and since we don't have the time to invest in fixing bikes, we entrusted Wheels and Motions to handle it, which they failed to do. Ultimately, we sold the bike to a neighbor who enjoys working on bikes. It's disappointing to have had this experience, and we want others to be aware of what to expect. We didn't try to get our money back, but if we had, we were offered less than half of what we initially paid. Despite the mileage on the speedometer remaining unchanged, they insisted that rules are rules. read more

I bought a used bike back in November, the customer service from the sales team was great. They installed a new rear tire, everything looked good, so I bought the bike and paid it in full that day. They hooked me up with some decent discounts for gear, which I was appreciative of. The part that lost them a couple stars was the Service department. While I was finalizing the paperwork, the service department was doing a final inspection on the bike. Everything seemed fine. It's been a few years since I last rode, so I took it easy riding home. A couple weeks into riding I get more comfortable accelerating a little quicker, but I started to notice something clicking if i accelerated a little too hard, from first gear. No wheelies or anything. A few hundred miles in I start looking at chain maintenance and see videos on proper adjustment. I realized my chain was so severely loose it was 3" inches of play, rubbing on the swing arm, and full of metal dust! I go ahead a clean and lube the chain but the damage was already done. The chain was rubbed flat on the inside of the chain. That clicking was the chain slipping. I went ahead and tightened it myself but, not really sure how to feel about Wheels in Motions Service Department. I thought they were looking over the bike when I bought it. How does something as simple as checking Chain Tension get overlooked? Motorcycle shopping is frustrating at the best of times. Find a bike you like from specs, become slightly obsessed. Shop around online then finally see it in person and "womp womp". Get mansplained to by dealer who is INCREDIBLY CONFIDENTLY incorrect half the time only to have him shift ALL of his attention to your male shopping companion then incorrectly fact check HIM allowing you to sit on bikes you'd just been told you couldn't sit on ... because at WIM you can't test ride, or even sit on most of their inventory. Their online prices are WAY lower and I'm guessing 90% of sales are there. It would certainly explain the patronising staff. It was our second trip there and I would rather buy from just about anywhere else. Come home bike less, again. I had $$$ in my pocket cold hard cash too. Ps. Part of what inspired me to write this review is that I overheard a mother and a son who were there so that he could buy a mini Bike and another salesman kept repeatedly addressing the mother and trying to hard sell her when it was fairly obvious that the situation was Mom just drove him over and he is using his own damn money. They even asked "why not" when he told them he wasn't buying a helmet he tried. Poor guy looked gutted as he was obviously hoping to walk out of there TODAY with his new bike. I talk to them for two seconds in the parking lot and I did read this situation correctly with his Christmas money added to the money that he has saved from his job. He finally had enough 18 years old and they were talking to his mommy like he wasn't even there And patronising to her as well. She was trying to tell them that it wasn't her decision. Had my bike recently in for service and brought the bike in after just having it detailed 2 days prior. When I got the bike back there were grease stains all over the bike from dirty hands and the bike was covered in dust since they leave your bike outside once the service is completed. I was really annoyed at how dirty the bike was once I got it back. Also, whoever test rode the bike also had grease/dirty hands because my brand new grips were covered in grime when I got the bike back. read more
