Henry and the whole team at Whisk are so awesome. I had my niece's 6th and my girlfriend's 40ths birthdays on the same day. I called them up and told them my crazy ideas: my niece loves Shopkins and my girlfriend loves rainbows and Denogginizer (An imperial IPA made by Drakes Brewery). See photos for the awesome results! The Denogginizer bottle on top of the rainbow cake probably isn't the classiest thing they'd ever done but they did it none-the-less and we had TONS of fun with it. It made the party. The Whisk team made the bottle form with rice crispy treat and coated it in chocolate. It wasn't just form-functional, it was delicious! And so you can see how big the cakes are, I threw a photo in with the birthday girl. When you say 6" or 8" or 10" cake, you've got to know they had 5 cake layers in there - the thing was TALL. And the taste? Sooooo good. We had almond cake with raspberry filling. It was so incredibly good. Normally I don't like frosting, but I couldn't stop eating that multi colored buttercream! Communication was easy enough, but cost was pretty pricey (~$400) due to its estimated "complexity." I had wanted a few figures (cat, dog, my wife and I) and from my communication with the owner, I felt pretty confident they would exceed expectations. Unfortunately, when I got the cake... it was nothing I had envisioned. Honestly, the fondant figures looked rushed and the depiction (stance and expressions of the figures) didn't look like anything I had asked them to do. I was pretty embarrassed to show my wife as the other ones I had done for her in the past were much more awesome. My two stars are for the cake itself as it was a pretty decent tasting. I would probably recommend them for the cake alone, but not for the work that they did for my cake and the pricey cost for lack of finished product unfortunately. read more

That being said we had enough to feed an army, with a second tier left over. There is a lag in email communication of under 48 hours, so be patient and they will get back to you with enthusiasm.
