Stopped by here since I was in town for work. Fast service, although I came in when they opened so there was not busy, I ordered the buffalo butter wings and it came with celery and carrots. I always love a house made ranch. The fries were seasoned well. I also ordered a side salad that came with a yummy house made vinaigrette - would recommend.

The vibe for a hotel bar is wonderful; cozy, leather filled, low lights. A good spot for a work conference evening drink but not for a stop out on the town. No festive decor for the season. Prices are a bit inflated but the staff is kind and quick to check in. If you're in the hotel, it is convenient and suave. There are nicer spots for less within a fifteen minute walk radius if you don't mind going outside.

The employees make all the difference. Yesterday service of staff was excellent, today lacks the five star experience. The waitress was at best average and didn't check with us. Bartender was less than tactful. I'm amazed how five star yesterday to one star today. Calling a $45 pour of whiskey a shot was just one aspect of the attitude received. The waitress unaware of the menu and drinks didn't help. Feel out the vibe. It's night and day here in my two day experience.

Old Fashioned with Woodford

I was walking in downtown Fort Worth, and desperately needed a cool drink and restroom break. I popped into the Omni Hotel to use their Starbucks -- and found this fantastic bar and lounge, Whisky and Rye. Aptly named, their Old Fashioned was superb. The ambiance was purely country, and the music was pure country heaven. How fortunate to have needed a restroom break and find this upscale watering hole with sports on big screens and pool table! My hubby and I came in twice for drinks during our trip. Staff was excellent, too, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. thank you, Whiskey and Rye. My favorite alcohols.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Just to be clear, this place sneaks in a 20% surcharge to your bill. Thay type of business decision is extremely dishonest. I had the smash burger. They seasoned the fries with a tasty herb mixture. Food portions were generous, the staff was quick and friendly, and the overall ambience was expected for a hotel restaurant/bar. This place would have had 4 stars but I took off 20% for the sneaky surcharge. 4-20%=3.2

I am in town for a business trip staying at the Omni hotel. Whiskey and rye is located at the hotel, so the convenience was by far the most appealing factor on where to grab a light bite and cocktail after walking all day touring Fort Worth. The first day I tried the chicken poblano soup, and dr. pepper Al La mode. This was the best, and I didn't get a picture before finishing them off. I would definitely recommend and have it again if I am back here. Second day chips and trio with crème brûlée. The servers were very attentive, and gave great recommendations. Ask for Emily or Brian!

This bar and eatery is located in the Omni Hotel in Ft. Worth. The drink menu is fine, and the service is decent. The live entertainment was horrible. The guitar soloist shouldn't be allowed to play when he's not a good singer. It is a dark environment with 2 pool tables and fits well if you just want to hang out and socialize with your group.

Located inside of the Omni hotel, it's a great spot for a night cap during the hotel stay. Bar seating as well as pliah chairs or high tables are available. There is also a pool table in the back. The stars of the show were definitely the Chicken Poblano Soup and the Rock Star Martini. Perfect options to wrap up a day of travel. The soup is served in a nice little cauldron like bowl and topped with shredded cheese. It has a nice subtle heat that not to overpowering but compliments the flavors. The martini is light and freshing as the ingredients flow so well in the cocktail.

Service is mediocre at best, and quesadillas tasted like velveeta cheese...spend your money elsewhere!

Had appetizers and a couple drinks. Stacey was a great waitress and even remembered what I drank the night before.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

Fiance and i walked were exploring and walked past an oddly placed and weirdly small laundromat…read morebefore realizing that there is no way this just a tiny random laundromat. We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

Highlights: Super fun speakeasy-style entrance Small interior, but the seating is arranged really well for different group sizes and feels surprisingly comfortable I don't recall them offering food during my visit, but the bartenders were friendly and were able to make a great mocktail Surrounded by different eateries, so it's easy to grab food nearby before or after drinks Easy parking, which is always a plus (street or parking garage nearby)
