The first week this place opened my friends dragged me in there 4-5 nights in a row since I live next door - I had zero complaints, and thats what I think is so awesome about this place - I have never had one complaint and Im there at least 2 times a week with coworkers, friends, business meetings. This bar knows what's up. Here's what you need to know: Jacob's Mules, expansive craft beer selection and an awesome presentation when ordering straight whiskeys/bourbons/scotches. Great place to go for a quick lunch or a much needed happy hour sess!! My coworker and I enjoyed the ahi tuna tacos and the ceaser salad and let me say, this is more than just a whiskey bar!! I've never had a Caesar salad with more flavor! From the aged Parmesan to the warm Texas toast croutons....mmmm. My issue was with the food, which was an above average price point for "meh" food. I ordered my gyro without the wrap because I'm gluten free. I wanted the ingredients on a plate like a greek salad would be. It was a tiny amount of food and it was dry, not enough sauce, and not the best gyro taste regardless of the missing wrap. My parents enjoyed their whiskey and the food got eaten anyways. I may give it another try but not anytime soon. It's in a great area though! read more

So I'm completely in love with this place. Was in the area because of work and it's freaking hot out so definitely needed to come in and have a delicious drink. Whiskey is my favorite and I've had my eye on stopping by WTF for a while so I was super happy that I was right across the street from it. Had the the delicious foxtail called a tall glass of water. Colorado peach whiskey is the best. Perfect drink for summer! I had lunch right before I came in but decided to go with the roasted Brussels sprouts. They were perfect and the flavors with the balsamic were great. I decided to take a seat at the bar. Wow. This review is based on food delivery only. I have yet to make to the establishment but intend to do so as soon as possible (especially since they carry pappy van winkle...major respect...although I will say, as a former bar manager, that the price of the pappy 23yr is outrageously overpriced). Anywhooo, I am a native New Yorker...born and raised in the city that never sleeps. That said, I am a food delivery snob. But enough about me....the cajun turkey sandwich, the fried chicken sandwich, the poutine, buffalo cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and fries were outrageously good, especially when considering that they were delivered! I can only imagine how great the food is fresh out of the kitchen! Will continue to be my "go to" delivery option in Denver and can't wait to hit up the bar for some libations. Meatballs are back! Unfortunately, I moved shortly after they were brought back. However, I made sure to go a few times before I left. I know this is a whiskey place, but how about a drink or two with tequila? Whenever I ask the bartender to make me something with tequila they kind of give me a weird look. A few times I was made a tequila sunrise, then I asked for one a different time and was told grenadine is not something they have at this bar.....how? 5 stars for their BOMB FRIED CHICKEN! Probably the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life. The outside was super crispy topped with a sweet glaze and sesame seeds. The inside was juicy and tender and perfectly cooked. I didn't even order the fried chicken, my fiance did, but I couldn't stop eating it. It was totally worth the dagger eyes I got from him all night. They were out of tuna (boo) so I ended up getting the shrimp tacos. They were good but I can't stop thinking about that fried chicken...drool. My glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was not very good at all. It tasted old and stale, which I'm not a fan of. I've had cheap wine that still tastes good but this was just awful and hard to drink. As good as their fried chicken was, the wine was bad and worth a whole star. read more

I am surprised at how great this place is. Talked my boyfriend into coming as even though it's raining it's a Friday night and we needed to get out. We didn't arrive until after 10 but they serve food until 1am so no problem there! Right when we got in and were seated at a table my boyfriend decided this is his new favorite spot as we were seated in front of four big screen TVs, and my boyfriend loves sports more than he loves his own mother. Good for me, gives me time to leave a review. I thought this place was a rowdy bar that serves food, but it's the opposite. A restaurant where you can drink a little too much, but primarily a restaurant. And a freaking fantastic one. We started with the pork meatballs, which were served on top of chili. Need I say more? For entrees I got the Caesar salad and Papi got the burger. Papi is always on the hunt for the best burger. We are from California and nothing compares to In N Out for him, so he is ordering a burger at every restaurant until he finds the one. He says he's found it. I've never seen him eat a whole burger and this lasted ten minutes. He has declared it easily the best burger in Denver, and with his expertise that opinion holds weight. Caesar was delicious. It had that something different that set it apart from your average Caesar. Maybe the garlic croutons or the dressing you could tell was made in house. We will be back again and again and again and again. Especially as all the sports allow me to browse E! News freely. I meant to write this review last month but I totally spaced. My sister and I went here for our monthly get-together. This place was recommended to me by a co-worker. We made a reservation because we want to make sure we can get in when we're enjoying our time together. It took a while for us to be acknowledged, much less seated. They finally came by and told us we could sit at the bar. We told them we had a reserved space and that's where we wanted to sit. We were seated and that was great, but it did take a few more minutes to get the waiter to wait on us. The waiter was wonderful and informative once we were taken care of. The whiskey flights were delicious. The food was just as wonderful. The fried chicken did not disappoint! The homemade ice cream sandwich was a great end to the evening. Stopped in for a quick drink and appetizer with some friends. Great space, even though the bar tables get really crowded with little to no walking room. When the weather gets nicer I can't wait to take advantage of the patio! Love that they have such a variety of whiskeys. Our server was very nice, seemed knowledgeable and was able to give good recommendations based off what we already knew we liked. Went here for Opening Day and was lucky enough to sit in Sara(h?)'s section. The food was great, the drinks were plentiful but she really made our afternoon with her service and attitude - even though she was slammed with other tables. This place is very neat inside! I love the name, that's why we chose to try it! The chicken Caesar salad my wife ordered was very good. The WTF P.O. Boy was excellent! The sauce was great and the mixture of chorizo and fried shrimp tied it together well. Toast that bun and it would have been perfect! This is a really cool place that is a little bit off of the normal bar stretch in Denver. It has a good size bar and a patio as well as a roof top that is nice in the summer. They do trivia night on Tuesdays that I have attended a few times. I've gotten a couple different dishes and so far everything has been spot on. It can definately get loud sometimes (as it's a popular place) but that's to be expected at a bar. They have plenty of TVs so you dont have to worry about missing your favorite team while enjoying a brew or some food! read more

Ive lived in this area for a few years now and when I first moved to "union station north" area i would have given WTF 3.5-4/5 stars but it quickly went from decent to 'no thanks'. Ive probably been there a dozen times at least by now and I'll say this. Whiskey/cocktails = 4 stars. Menu (it's actually improved) = 3.5 stars. Service = 1 star. Disclaimer - I only ever sit at the bar but the lack of attentiveness or service from the bartending staff keeps me away. Even when the place is empty the bartenders mingle in the corner with the waiting staff. While glasses sit empty, checks sit idle etc. Originally disappointment with the menu kept me away but even since it's improved a bit the service now keeps me away. This is easily the closest place for me to walk to for lunch, a cocktail, happy hour, dinner etc but i only choose it out of desperation or laziness these days. Could be soooooo much bette UPDATE: I have to say my most recent trip there was my best. I THINK Anna was the bartender and she made a big difference compared to my previous trips. As always the booze selection is good and the pork meatballs are still fantastic. This place confused me at first when my burger came on an English muffin but it turned out amazing! They have a decent selection of whiskeys and other liquors for you to try as well. Tip, sit downstairs after it gets late/dark. There's not a whole lot of lighting besides a few TVs on the rooftop so you'll be struggling to see your menu/food. read more
