In Denver for a week and when looking for places to eat nearby I knew right away I would love this place. My boyfriend and I were only able to get here twice but wanted to come back more. Both times we were here we had the same server she honestly was one of the best servers I've ever had and I wish I'd remember her name. She was always super busy one of the only people working on the floor and she handled herself like a pro. The food here is really good the drink list is great too, unfortunately they were out of a few things we wanted but that's OK and understandable given the times. Went in Sunday at 12:30, wanting lunch. Their buffalo cauliflower are so yummy and I was really hoping to get them. Unfortunately, they only serve brunch until one on Sundays. No problem, we ordered from the brunch menu. The French toast was pretty good, and the chicken and waffles was "meh". Kind of dry chicken without much flavor. Service was friendly and helpful; they were quick to offer to put the umbrella up and fix our wobbly table. Thank you! The patio was nice and the atmosphere was cute. Found this place while leaving Denver and it was pretty awesome . The server who waited on us was a super friendly women ( she had a badass nose ring ) who was super fast with getting out our waters , beers, and delicious poutine appetizer . The cheese custards on the fries were so delicious !!! For my meal I had the wtf po boy and it was huge and delicious . "Dog Friendly" should be used very lightly by this establishment. While they do indeed allow dogs they are so far from friendly to your 4 legged friend. I visit Denver once or twice a year, and this is always my favorite place to get SlamTown HamTown. Sports? They got it. There are like a bazillion TVs (And they'll gladly switch it to the game you want, if you ask). Cute bartenders? They got it. Especially the dude with the beard (I forget his name but he's a smoke). Outdoor seating for the summer days? You betcha (Great for a pre-game before going to see the Rockies). Good drinks at an affordable price? Oh, you better believe it. And best of all, they will gladly make a Schlitz Cocktail if you ask for one. I can't remember if they carry Schlitz or not, but I would normally substitute in a Coors Heavy anway. It's the Rockies, after all. And as they say, "When in Rome, drink Coors Diesel." For those wondering, a Schlitz Cocktail is a can of Schlitz served with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. It's a great and delicious treat for any season. But if the bar doesn't carry Schlitz and you're at least a mile high, it's OK to substitute in a Coors Diesel. read more

Searching for a new brunch joint, hubby and I stumbled on Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (let's call them WFT for short). The first thing I noticed was the hipster vibe, but those are my people so I'm down. Hubby started by ordering a Bloody Mary. I noticed WTF had bottomless mimosas and planned to order one (or three), but no one gave me the chance until I was half way through my food, so I passed. Hubby got the shrimp and grits and I ordered the sunrise burger. My burger was good, but the shrimp and grits left hubby with an upset stomach for the rest of the day. After we finished it took a while for someone to stop by, and even when they did we had to ask for the check. In conclusion, my food was good, hub's food was okay, but the service was really lousy. This review is purely based on the food since we had it delivered. So, we usually order dinner from this place and enjoy it. We were excited to try out their brunch. We ordered this on a Sunday morning and it arrived to out home really quickly through Uber Eats. What arrived was completely disgusting, inedible and mostly lacking ingredients. The burrito smelled like Chuckie Cheese. It was missing key ingredients (like the shaved rib eye and cheese) and was mostly just a rolled tortilla with some eggs and potatoes and green sauce. It was bland, disappointing and definitely not recommended. The grits was inedible. Lacking flavor, clumpy, and freezing. The chicken and waffles was a small portion. Was very bland, chicken tasted worse than Tyson chicken strips you heat up. Everything arrived cold (literally a five minute delivery) and we could look past that if our order actually tasted delicious (or edible). Definitely will look elsewhere for Brunch. read more

This bar is walking distance from my son's apartment. We went there for a late lunch. We sat on the rooftop and they had the misters going to keep everyone cool. There are sun shade sails over some areas, and others are in the sun. The food was good and very filling. I had the Foxtrot Philly--it was delicious and as you can see it was a large sandwich. My husband had the classic burger. It is served on an English muffin instead of a bun. My son had the Cajun turkey Gouda. We shared 2 orders of fries. The fries were great. They reminded us of fresh McDonald's fries--which is just fine--and what made them outstanding was the chipotle sauce they were served with. Far better than ketchup! We had also ordered an appetizer of cheese curds. They came with the same sauce and were in a darker really crispy batter. The order includes not just curds but also fried pickles and maybe a fried jalapeño or two. All in all it was a great stop--the beer was cold and the service was attentive and friendly. read more

I was just relaxing after a long day of traveling and decided to order Grubhub since I didn't feel like cooking. So the delivery was smooth. The food presentation was flawless until my husband poured his po boy sandwich sauce and realized that the cup had a hair in it. I immediately called the restaurant and inform the manager to witch he offered a $5 discount I accept and hang up. As I start the plate my food my secret sauce has a secret hair as well in it at that point I decided to cook and just to not bother Markus at the restaurant. Safe to say I will not be going to this restaurant again. Update: I was invited back for a dinner. I went in didn't say anything to see how service was. Let me tell you it was a great night. This is one of my go to's when in Denver and there's so many reasons why. For starters, their whiskey and bourbon selection is impressive. From Colorado Whiskey's to Whiskey flights, the options are almost endless. Then there's the food. Personally, the pork wings and glazed sprouts are a must order. The pork falls right off the bone and its sticky sauce is finger licking good, while the brussel sprouts are toasted to perfection. Don't be afraid to add an order of their thin-cut fries that comes with a spicy aloe on the side for dipping. To top it off, they offer rooftop seating with views of downtown that is equipped with multiple TVs to catch any and every game possible. Brian put us on pork shank appetizers and cocktails...Old Fashioned for me and Denver sunset for my wife - perfection. We hung out on the roof top patio due to COVID regulations - GREAT time! TV's and access to 7 different games.....I might make stay in LODO just for this place! Brian was awesome - asked what we liked - and suggested a patty melt for my wife and I had a Buffalo chicken sandwich...both superb! Their blue cheese dipping sauce is superb. Wow. I ordered Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on Uber Eats tonight and it was so close to eating in-house. I loved it. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and the house salad. During Covid, and ordering, some places haven't adopted well with delivery, but these folks have it down. The chicken was left alone, so still crispy. I met the fabulous Miarra J. for lunch here. She always raves about it so I thought I'd try it since she mentioned they just updated their menu. I got there a little bit before her and there were 2 other people in there. It was really quiet in there. So I could hear the jams they were piping through the speakers. Anytime you play soul music or Motown, you have my heart. So I was pleasantly surprised just right there. After having a mini dance sesh in my seat, I looked over their fabulous drink menu. We are allowed to drink on our lunch break at work and so I said why not? The server told me that they have over 115 whiskeys to chose from. I ordered my whiskey neat. I've had trouble ordering it this way at several different places around Colorado. I guess people don't know what a True whiskey neat is. These guys do. I am slightly disappointed in our server's attitude while explaining the difference. She was a little uppity about it. I mean I know Whiskey is in the name of your restaurant and you have over 100 from your selection, but you don't need to be snooty when explaining this to your customers. Especially when you make your living on service. I will give it up to them on presentation. They severed the whiskey beautifully and they accompanied it by a freshly made salted caramel. (See photo) My friend and I ordered the shrimp and grits for lunch. The flavor of the shrimp was tasty and the grits were cooked well. The portion size was nice too. I've only been here once so I can't say that anything i experienced is the norm. But the first impression was not a great one. Food and drink options are good. Vibe and ambiance are also good. It's a good concept. What I wasn't vibing with was the lack of social distancing around the bar area. Aside from the bar, there's a rail/counter and a table. When I visited a single chair separated me from the next guest on either side. We're not there yet.
