I had not been to Whiskey Warehouse in a couple years due to an unpleasant experience. However, I had my nephew in town with me for a couple days and decided to give it another try. We arrived around 8:15 pm on a Tuesday to grab some dinner. Upon arrival, we were asked for our ID's to be able to enter. My nephew is 14 years old so he did not have an ID. I let them know that we were only wanting dinner, not drinks and that my nephew was only 14 so he doesn't have an ID. We were quickly told that it did not matter what his age was, that if we didn't have ID's we could not enter. I can understand this policy after maybe 10:00, and if you were a bar just serving "bar food" but when you are mainly a restaurant and it is just after 8:00 on a Tuesday, this seems a little ridiculous to me. It is also not advertised on their website nor door that there is an age restriction after a certain time. The wings are meaty and crispy and never disappoint. I usually go for all drums because all wing connoisseurs know the drums are the best. 2. Value / Happy Hour Love wings but balling on a budget? ... 1/2 price apps Monday through Friday. All the wing goodness, half the price! I guess there's other apps to try but I would stress focusing on the wings. .. Love whiskey! Of course you do! What else would you down your wings with? ... Well my friend / stranger reading this review there's $4 Jack Daniels drinks just for you (or anybody else with $4). Can't go wrong there. There's tons of other great whiskey to pick from at a very reasonable price. 3. This is not my favorite place amongst all of the places around here in this area. I will come here for an occasional drink if others are going, but I would not choose this on my own. The service is always hit or miss. You can't guarantee good service. They have a rooftop patio, which is a nice option on a day with good weather. Just basic food and drinks, nothing overly exciting. I have never been overly impressed with the service or atmosphere, but don't mind it with a group of people occasionally. read more

Friendly atmosphere from the moment we parked. Security guy is really nice - saw our confused face and directed us to the correct entrance (which is on the side by the way). We went on a Thursday night and to our pleasant surprise... live music!!! Great artists. Waitress was great and made recommendations for food. I got the fried fish plate which was delicious. My friend got a burger which they're well known for and it was very good. Bartender was very friendly and conversational. I came here last night and I think our family may have found a place where we could become regulars. Coming in, first thought was that it was a bar...but not like every other bar where only sports ruled the televisions. It had a family feel as most bars didn't. On top of the family feeling, service was great. Our waiter was on top of everything and we even shared a nice conversation with her. So lets get on to the food. I ordered the Charleston Shrimp Pasta which I thought was pretty good. It was a well portioned meal, with garlic bread, cheese, and of course shrimp on top of linguini pasta. I thought it was great. It had a nice blend of taste as well as a cheesy taste which I say is always good. It wasn't too overpowering to the point where you couldn't taste any of the other flavors of the dish. Other dishes that were ordered were of course the Fried Green Tomatoes. It seems like it's a favorite around here so we decided to order it and it was good! There were no complaints about that dish. Overall, I felt like this place was a great restaurant for families and drinkers alike. I cannot tell you how the food or drinks are at this place because I had such an unpleasant exchange with the host that I walked out and decided to never come back. We were looking for an outside area for some drinks when we saw the rooftop of Whiskey Warehouse and saw several open tables from the parking lot. We go inside and are told to check with the host before going upstairs, as they were apparently behind in the kitchen. I approached the host (was not greeted) and politely asked if there was a bar upstairs that we could sit at for just drinks. Well I would have asked that, is she didn't rudely interrupt me and say "I am NOT sending ANYONE up there for at least 45 minutes" and then continue to stare at me aggressively once she had finished speaking. It was so bizarre... there were empty table everywhere, there was no line at the host stand, there was no reason for her to be stressed out. It takes a lot for me to write a 1 star review based on the interactions I had with one employee but her tone and body language were so snobby and abrasive, this is that instance. I just said "OK" almost laughing at how weird the whole thing was and walked out. As a host, it is your job to greet guests and seat them. If it is busy or you are stressed, it is still your job to greet guests, be polite, and tell them if there is a wait. If you cannot do that when there are empty tables everywhere and no line to speak with you, maybe you are not cut out for the position. Also, I don't understand how the kitchen could have been so far behind on food based on the capacity of the restaurant that I could see, so I didn't feel like I was going to be missing much. read more

My friend and I went in to have lunch on Sunday (3/10/24) when our waitress Kate Holmes decided to get aggressive. She threw drinks on us due to past disagreements from a year ago that have since been resolved. Managers did nothing to help nor did they want to hear us. They kicked us out after we had a peaceful lunch and tipped 20% or more and were extremely respectful. Very sad to see the embarrassing acts of Kate Holmes be protected at this restaurant. read more

I haven't been to whiskey warehouse in over a year I was glad when my friends wanted to meet up for lunch today. I felt welcome when I walked in I found my friends immediately and sit down at the table. Because I am always fashionably late food and drinks were already on the table so I jumped right in and ordered wings a house salad and one mango mule. My drink was made to perfection as were all of the drinks as I was told by my friends and the salad was delicious. The chicken wings are all right I mean you really can't go wrong with a chicken wing. The restaurant is practicing social distancing although all of the servers did not have on masks and no one had on gloves. I must admit my friends are very needy when we go out to eat but the server was on top of it! The reason that I would not give this review a five star is because when Morgan came over and bought our tabs she charged me for two drinks when I only had one. She came over to the table in a jokingly manner and said I took it off of your tab but girl you know that you had two. Unfortunately, I did not find this funny and I do not like being charged for something and I did not order it's everyone know I eat out much more than I eat at home and I place reviews everywhere! I'm a great tipper and I love to eat different foods and have good drinks, but I do not like to be charged or accused of drinking a drink for free. Do not get whiskey cocktails at the Whiskey Warehouse. On the rooftop bar, I ordered a simple old fashion that was on the menu. After 15minutes, the waitress brought it over and it was embarrassing. We visited the Whiskey Warehouse for the first time this past Sunday night. Parking wasn't ideal (or well-defined), but we found a spot (or made our own). Upon entering, we were impressed by the look, atmosphere, and wide-open space of the restaurant. It was very inviting, fun, and alive with energy. Our server was great, too, and she reminded me a bit of Rachael Ray -- both in her smile and her voice. We got a great booth on the side of the restaurant (although I would have also have been happy at one of their several high-tops.) I ordered a Bratwurst Sandwich from the "Local Food Section" of the menu. For $1 extra, I substituted sweet potato fries for regular. The bratwurst was delicious, topped with grilled onions and peppers, and so full of flavor. It was just the right size, too, so I didn't feel overstuffed. My partner on the other hand ordered the Southern Chicken sandwich -- a fried chicken breast with pimento cheese and bacon. It was freakin' HUGE and a damn good value. He couldn't even finish it all. The sweet potato fries were delicious, too! I also enjoyed watching the drunk sports fanatic at the table next to us who moved in very slow motion and tried to hold his head up the whole time we were there. He was quite entertaining. Lastly, if you're into whiskey (unfortunately, I'm not), they have a fantastic selection of brands for you to try. We'll definitely return for a fun, casual night out. She proceeded to apologize and tell us why she was so distracted, and then kept doing what she was doing, visiting our table minimally for the duration of our meal, and socializing the night away. Also, my entree was ice cold by the time it came out. Another meal for our table was piping hot, and a third was on the cold side of lukewarm. If you can't time your meals properly, and your waitstaff don't care, why are you in restaurant industry? This is the second time the experience here has been subpar.
