Not only was the lady on the phone very nice, but she understood the urgency of the situation. After quickly collecting information about the situation, she let me know that a plumber would be able to come that day, in about two hours. I was so relieved. Then, something even better happened. About 20 minutes after I booked the appointment, the plumber himself called me and asked if he could come by in 30 minutes - a full 1.5 hours ahead of schedule! I agreed, met him at the place, and he assessed the situation quickly and professionally. He diagnosed the plumbing issue, made a recommendation on how best to fix it, gave me a price, and got to work. Within another hour the problem was fixed. I had a great experience with F&A Plumbing and would absolutely go back to them if any other issues ever arose.

I immediately said NO WAY! I think with the rest of the reviews maybe they took the estimate at face value and not knowing about plumbing issues just paid for it and was happy with the service! My experiences made me question that estimate! I hired another plumber and I told him the exact problem to repair saying I had this issue before on other apts I managed. And they fixed it for $ 385.( which is reasonable but still slightly higher, but I was tired of getting another estimate). So see the BIG difference I save over 1500.!!! So just a caveat, don't go with your first estimate blindly. Second, I ONLY go with FREE estimates, pay by the job and not the hour mostly.

I since had an HVAC company come out for something else and mentioned I had to change the heater recently. I told him what I paid and he said that was honestly a good price. Excalibur seemed honest and helpful and they were able to come out first thing the next morning and get my heater replaced. They did a good job and the new unit looks better installed than the original. They also gave me advice on how to maintain it and what maintenance I could do myself to descale it etc so it doesn't break again. Overall happy either way the service even though overall it was expensive it was still less than other quotes I got.

Had a plumbing emergency where anytime I turned water on in the home the bathtub would fill up with water and sit there. This occurred all of a sudden without warning on a Friday night at 8 p.m. I called Whistle Plumbing first thing on Saturday and Paul answered the phone. He was calm, took down the information, described his procedures of taking a picture of the work to be performed at no charge and then said he would be here in about one hour. About one hour later, Paul showed up with Daniel, diagnosed the problem in more than 10 minutes, provided a written quote and began work. He was upfront about the cost and let me know of other problems (i.e. there was a water pressure problem that he was happy to look into at no charge). Paul offers what the big guys can't. I have a lot of respect for small self-employed shops like Paul's. These people work hard on Saturdays and Sundays when most of us are relaxing by the television or spending time with family. Whistle Plumbing was courteous, prompt, honest and listened to all of my concerns. They did their work efficiently and left. I believe their rates were more than fair, especially for a Saturday type job and I was very pleased with their level of care and service. I wish there were more honest people like Paul of Whistle Plumbing. A few weeks ago, we lost hot water in our house. Before calling Whistle Plumbing, I called two other Plumbers, who were trying to tell me I needed to replace EVERYTHING. I decided to do a quick yelp search, and I'm so glad that Whistle Plumbing came up. Paul is extremely thorough and tries to save the customer money. He inspected my water heater and explained what needed to be replaced. He took the extra step to research whether or not it was still under warranty...which it was! I called Paul/Whistle Plumbing in the morning to provide an estimate for replacing what appeared to be a leaky faucet at a rental home in Daly City. He came over the same morning and assessed the problem as a loose angle stop. He tighten the angle stop and was not going to charge me for the call! I decided to have the faucet replaced anyway since it was over 20 years old. Paul did such a good job, I decided to have him perform some other plumbing work (replacing a toilet and shower/bathtub faucet). He and his team did a outstanding and professional job! Since then, I had Paul come to my own residence to address a constant slow draining laundry tub drain. Again, I was impressed with Paul's professionalism, honesty and quality work. over 200+ reviews with a near perfect rating!? That's not easy to do. I'm not sure how much I can add to the 5 stars beneath me other than to say I agree with them all....and more! I met one of their workers a year ago and he was super friendly. Just today, I saw one of their vehicles and approached them to ask a few questions and it turned out I was talking to the owner! We needed to have a toilet repaired that was making a knocking noise and a backed-up garbage disposal fixed that was causing water to spill onto the counter. Paul Gutierrez, the owner of Whistle Plumbing, was on time, extremely helpful in explaining the problems and how he would fix them, and doing so efficiently and quickly. Upon arrival, they noticed our shut-off valve was on its last legs and replaced both with expert quality and a price that didn't make me cry. Earlier this year, we bought a new counter depth fridge, only to realize the water line protruded 4 inches into our small kitchen. It was a total space-killer. Expert Rooter came out and changed it to a recessed line. The kitchen feels roomier! Another amazing job. Yesterday, the water heater sprung a leak. When my husband tried to turn off the water valve, the pipe decided to keep leaking anyway. Guess who came to the rescue? EXPERT ROOTER. They replaced all the water heater, with brand new connectors, water valve, and the gas valve. I will refer them to anyone and already have done so with friends and family, and the consensus is in: they are now everyone's primary plumbing company. They shared their inspection procedure of the faucet, handles, and piping. Now I feel more confident about the flow once the water is shut off. He closely examine the cut off valve under my sink. I told him that the valve had been opened and closed recently to fix the dish washer. He said that when the are opened or closed they typically leak briefly. He saw that is was not leaking now and charged me nothing. He left laughing and speaking of karma! Great guy!
