    Pulled pork with peach slaw

Delicious BBQ, no need for sauce, the pulled pork is spot on, the sides were tasty and the banana pudding, yummy! Great atmosphere on the downtown square

Half rack of ribs and a side of fries.

Perhaps the best barbecue in Flowery Branch! I ordered the half rack of ribs with fries. The ribs smelled amazing on the drive back home and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The ribs were tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The fries were fresh, hot, crispy (from the beef tallow) and also perfectly seasoned. My daughter had the brisket sandwich and raved about how tender, juicy and delicious it was. I've been in talks of moving from the area but Whistle Q has me reconsidering that decision. This was hands down the best bbq I've had in years. We will definitely be a regular.

Incredible BBQ, and amazing sides. Craig is a true BBQ talent! Beautiful restaurant on Main Street.

The Caboose and jalapeño popper, fritters.

OMG. Craig you are a food God! How in the heck you get your spud to be as creamy and smooth as that...pure heaven in each bite! Whistle Q - Flowery Branch another meal that tops the chart! The caboose, pork rinds, jalapeño popper fritters, and of course the pickles and onions!!! All amazing! Do not go get the fritters unless you want a new addiction! Always a 10/10!!! Fast, friendly service what a great atmosphere!

    Crispy "smoked" wings

Wings HIGHLY overcooked, crispy dry. For "smoked" wings they should have been moist and had a smoky flavor. And if you look closely you'll see feathers. Threw away $70 worth of food

our order collards, pork, and brisket stuffed tater. Bowl in middle is sour cream and pickled jalapeños we asked to be on the side

This place is incredible. It's the best chopped pork I've ever eaten in my 54 years of eating bbq. Didn't even need sauce, even though they had tasty bbq sauces. My wife ordered the brisket stuffed potato which I sampled and it was epic too. As a 7th generation Texan I really appreciate Craig goes the extra mile to smoke the brisket with post oak. Post oak is what's used by folks like Aaron Franklin, Kent & Terry Black. Whistle Q's collard greens were very special too. The collards were a nice sized 6oz serving and very well seasoned. They had pepper sauce on the table but these collards were so great I didn't need that sauce either. They are also going the extra mile brewing Community Tea which was spot on. One tiny thing I want to point out is I really appreciate the butter they serve with the potato. That butter is really marvelous. It had been cut out of a large block into little blocks. That butter took the fluffy potato to never before experienced heights of deliciousness. The sour cream served with the potato was also remarkable. The potato was also served with excellent jalapeño slices and sour cream. The jalapeños are pickled and have a degree of crispness that is very appealing. I also appreciated the sliced pickle chips and pickled onions served on the side with my pork. We drove 20 minutes to get Whistle Q and the travel was worth the visit, I should also mention the ambience is very nice situated in a folksy part of downtown. Flowery Branch, adjacent to cute boutique shops. Keep up the great bbq! We will return!

    Brisket sandwich $19

Food was very good pork was super tender and brisket had a great smoky flavor. Was a little shocked the brisket sandwich was $19 and was pretty small for that price.

Crossroads Bar & Grille in Flowery Branch just nailed two lunch classics better than most places…read moreI've tried--the Cuban and the Reuben are absolute winners. Stopped in at 5900 Spout Springs Rd for a casual lunch and left seriously impressed. These sandwiches aren't just thrown together; they're loaded and executed perfectly. The Cuban (marinated pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles on a toasted hoagie roll) was a flavor bomb. Look at that cross-section--juicy, tender pork layered thick with ham, melty cheese, and that perfect pickle crunch cutting through the mustard kick. The bread toasted up golden and held everything together without getting soggy. Paired it with fries and a side of ketchup, and it felt like something straight out of a great Cuban spot. Huge portions that actually satisfy. The Classic Reuben on toasted marbled rye was equally stacked: thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing. The bread had that ideal crisp exterior with a soft bite, and the fillings were generous and well-balanced--no dry bites here. Came with crispy fries and a side of creamy sauce that tied it all together beautifully. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is that perfect relaxed neighborhood vibe (great for watching a game or just catching up), and the prices are fair for the quality and size you get. In a world full of average bar sandwiches, Crossroads delivers the real deal with fresh ingredients and obvious care. Whether you're craving the tangy, savory Reuben or the bright, porky Cuban, both hit the spot hard. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Flowery Branch, do not sleep on these sandwiches. Highly recommend--5 stars.

What a truly memorable dining experience. Not many restaurants manage to combine the charm of a…read morehospital cafeteria with the personal touch of having the waitress complain about the customers directly to them, but this place pulls it off beautifully. Our server seemed to feel we were an inconvenience simply for existing, which added a refreshing level of tension to the meal. It's not every day you get the unique opportunity to listen to your waitress gripe about you while she's still serving your table. Customer engagement at its finest. The food was equally impressive. The shrimp arrived thoughtfully pre-chilled -- perhaps to keep things exciting for the digestive system. Within minutes it gave me a stomach ache, which I assume was the chef's creative interpretation of "interactive dining." My brother ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which had such a powerful effect that he ended up throwing up shortly afterward. It's rare to see food provoke such a strong physical response, so clearly the kitchen knows how to make an impression. Overall, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to combine cafeteria-level cuisine with openly hostile service and a dash of gastrointestinal adventure, this is absolutely the place to go. Truly unforgettable.
