The service was a shared effort with no less than 5 different people involved and all knew what we ordered and what we needed. The ambience was good place was very clean. Went here for the first time with my family and had the best time!! The vibes were amazing and the service was good. Food was amazing. We got there in time for happy hour so we tried a little bit of everything. I would really recommend the edamame, Brussels sprouts, and tuna on crispy rice. We also got the spicy tuna roll, Cesar salad, firecracker roll and more - literally everything was delicious. The only issue we had was the bar which was so backed up that it was taking forever for us to get our drinks. We ate all our food by the time our second round came out. Whitaker's Bar in Conway had excellent service with quick drinks and friendly staff. The beer selection was great and happy hour with half off sushi rolls was a nice surprise. The restaurant was well decorated for Halloween and even had hook and ring toss at the tables. Walk-in was easy with no reservation and the whole town had a Halloween feel for October. read more

My girls and I were just walking along the streets of historic Conway and we spotted a sign that promised sushi, tacos, cocktails and vibes (basically the four food groups) and immediately detoured. Whoever's behind the bar clearly has some kind of wizard level gift with flavors and booze. HOLY WOW! Yes! Delish sushi for everyone in our party of 4. Pace offered great cocktails as well. Staff were very friendly. One of my daughters ordered tacos and felt they were heavy on the slaw but the flavor was still good and I enjoyed snacking on the extra slaw. We will be back. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. This place has a nice vibe but it's definitely on the loud side -- the space is pretty small and tight, so conversations can be a bit hard to hear. The service was friendly and fairly quick, and the food itself was really good. That said, the prices felt a bit steep for what you get. There's a lot of "new age" (for lack of better terms) menu items at higher than average prices. If you're into that kind of thing, this might be a good spot to try. Came on a Wednesday for date night. Got a couple apps and a few rolls. We made it right at the end of happy hour and took advantage of it. Wine, house liquor, and draft beer was discounted. They also offer 1/2 price sushi Monday and Wednesday til 7pm. It was pretty crowded by the time we arrived at 6, but we were able to snag some seats at the bar. Sushi: we recognized the lemon roll from co sushi so after a lil googling, we discovered it was indeed the same owner as cosushi. However, I enjoyed the quality of the sushi here more. Our fav was the blossom roll followed by lemon. Apps: Brussels were fantastic but ceviche was a miss. It was a little bland and planting chips were way over salted. Service & drinks were both good. We were very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant! We started off our order with the truffle fries! They were excellent!! We also ordered the "Surimi Cajun Crab Dip" which was very tasty! My wife ordered the "Kung Fu Crunch" sushi roll. My wife thoroughly enjoyed this sushi roll and would recommend it highly! Me and my girlfriend are down from NY visiting Myrtle Beach, we decided to take a little ride to explore Conway and to stop for dinner at Whitaker's. It was absolutely incredible, our favorite meal here so far. We are already planning to come back before flying home. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The service was great! The food was hit & miss. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, but my son had the grouper tacos and was still hungry afterwards. There were only 2 and they were kind of skimpy. The edamame was fantastic! I ordered Bam Bam shrimp sushi which turned out to be a fake krab California roll with a few bam bam shrimp laid on top. Tasty, but not what I expected for $16.50 And if I didn't order a side salad, I too would have walked away hungry. That being said, we would probably be back. Just make sure you order enough. We were in the restaurant had 4 adults 3 kids (one needed a high chair) we were instructed that we must sit at a high top when there was 3 low tables available that would work for a high chair. Tj the manger told us the low tables were reserved for another party "but don't take reservations" when confronted about the reservations Tj told us "if you don't like the table you can leave". I would never let him run a business or support a business that puts up with this behavior. This place is not kid friendly and as a local who comes here often I will never be back. read more
