    Hot wings

Despite this being the only place open after 7pm in this little town, the food and the service were really good. The steak tip grinder was cooked well and seasoned great. The bread could of been cooked more but it didn't taste doughy. The wings were huge , had a nice kick and were crunchy. The wings and the steak tips are made fresh and seasoned there. Even if this wasn't the only place open after 7 on a Sunday I would still go there again ! Plus you have to love a place where you can buy gun, get a pizza , play keno and a six pack of beer.

Back by popular demand: Entry #5 on the Let's Get Take-Out on the Way Home from Work on Friday (no longer a Tour of Route 125, due to a series of fortunate events!) Only in New Hampshire, I have a 22-mile drive to work and during this drive, I pass exactly ONE business between my home and work. Of course, I opted to make this business my Friday take-out stop. I was a little disappointed that I was told it was a 30-minute wait when I called in my order for a "Town Hall" specialty pizza, but I dealt with it. This pizza is topped with sausage, mushrooms, onions, and peppers. It is one of the numerous specialty pizzas offered on the huge White Buffalo Trading Post menu. Their menu truly has something for everyone. I browsed around the quirky little general store, which has literally everything you can imagine. It reminded me of The Big Red Store that used to be in Twin Mountain before it was turned into Mooseland Grill and subsequently burned down. Business in the pizza part of the building seemed brisk for a Friday at 5PM. I watched a couple locals carrying a pizza box down the street when I pulled in. At least two other large orders of 3 pizzas or so were picked up before me. The guy at the register was super friendly and nice and the lady who worked on preparing food also joined in our chatter. This is a small town place with a good vibe. When I got home, my pizza had cooled slightly, so I stuck it, HUGE box and all, into the oven while I snagged a glass of wine and my first slice. The crust was exceptionally crispy and tender. The toppings were as expected. The pizza had plenty of cheese and sauce. I was amazed by how much larger the pizza was, when compared to most pizzas. Even with its huge size, the crust was perfect throughout- no soggy middle or burnt edges. I was starving, but I was only able to eat three slices before calling it quits. I have plenty of leftovers for a snack or another whole meal if I need it. Since this is the only restaurant on my journey to and from work, I think I'll be a frequent visitor. I do plan to take a longer alternate route up to the Alton Traffic Circle and then down Rt 11 and Rt 125 for future Fridays as long as I stay happy at my new job!

I will give this place another shot for sure, but my first experience was an utter downer. If pictures say a thousand words... Anyway, even after scraping all that stuff off, I still didn't love the taste of the sauce or dough. Again, I plan to give it another shot, so a new review is to come, but this was my initial impression. Otherwise, the people were cool as hell and the store itself is bad ass.

Ok, I've been here enough times now where I can make a fairly well rounded review. Long story short: it's awesome and the people are entirely friendly. I have never walked in without hearing a greeting on my way in, and a "thank you" on my way out. In all honesty, I avoided the place for 2 years because I didn't like the look of the pizza at the front of the store that had been sitting out. My friends kept telling me this is the best food in the area though, and I trust them so I tried the meatball sub. I love meatballs. Theirs are homemade, great sauce, great bread. The second time I went back, I had it again because I liked it so much. We've had chicken parm subs, turkey sub (really awesome), salads, and recently, I tried the pizza that was sitting out because I was wicked hungry and had about 2 minutes and honestly, it was still really good and I'd eat it again. I tried it fresh and hot the next day and I'm officially hooked on White Buffalo. I work from home, and I work A LOT and it is so convenient to have a store that delivers anything you need. Tonight, I was just so happy to have dinner and the things I couldn't get to the store for all day that were stressing me out.

We should have been charged around $50 for 3 subs, a small fry and a Whoopi pie. Instead they charged us $94.20!

Finally, now that the 'newness' wore off, 4 of us were able to grab a table with ease. There was live music & they post on their Facebook page regularly with updates on food & cocktail specials. We decided on appetizers: nachos w/ chicken, mozzarella sticks & potato skins. The nachos were really good - I liked the chips they used. The mozzarella sticks were a bit underwhelming, similar to frozen ones I've purchased at BJs. The potato skins tasted like they were made in-house. ABOVE & BEYOND MOMENT: Our server, Jackie, was friendly & patient with our requests. I had asked if they could make a spicy margarita. She asked the bartender & they were out of their jalapeno tequila so they asked if it was okay to muddle fresh jalapenos instead. I said I trusted the bartender to do what they thought best. When my margarita was delivered, the Jackie asked if I wouldn't mind tasting it to make sure it wasn't too spicy. I think the fact they custom made the drink & ensured it was to my liking was great. I see mixed reviews about the prices. I honestly found that appetizers averaging about $15 was on the high side. We'd like to go back for dinner, maybe when there isn't live music. Very loud due to the small space. The ambience is a cleaned up version of J.J. Goodwins & there are (2) pool tables.

We don't have much, but now we have a country store AND a new bar to hangout at. It's literally maybe a 3-minute drive for us from our house. The parking is limited, but we were told it's okay to park across the street at the church. We haven't had to do that, but there are nights when the spaces are full. Because of COVID & other things, it seemed to take FOREVER for them to get their permits & to be open. This was originally just a country store, but they did a great job converting it into a "half" restaurant with a very large, U-shaped bar. Lots of wood & your typical bar flair. What I love is that they left the "Meat Dept" sign hanging. I actually miss stopping in to get some of the freshest, best priced chicken & steak, but oh well. The menu isn't very expansive, with lots of subs/sandwiches. The appetizers are nothing special, but greasy & good if that's what you're after. The pizza is good, pretty typical. They offer beer & wine for spirits. Some beer on tap & then others in bottles or cans. They also have some spiked seltzers in cans available. The staff is very laid back & the owners are usually ALWAYS there. They work a lot! There's a sliding barn door that goes into what's left of the store that they kept which is primarily fridges with beer, some shelves with bread & even bloody mary mix (random!) & other stuff that I haven't looked at. They have an ATM that works when it wants to.

My son could see into the kitchen where the 2 waitresses were discussing something very important with the chef and not getting food out the door. 25 min to get our meals. To top it off there was NO chimmichuri to be found on the beef or on the side. Unfortunately the waitress never checked back so we couldn't have her go to the kitchen and get some. The prices seem fair and they offer happy hour 3-5pm. I stopped by Big Dog Pub for dinner recently during the week. I was greeted and told I could sit at any open table I'd like. The seating at the bar was busy, so I sat at an open metal table next to the bar. The server brought over a menu to look over. I decided on the Fish & Chips special ($16 plus tax) and the Sweet Sausage Sautee ($15 plus tax). Both entrees came out together in 17 minutes. The portions were good on both. The fish & chips were very hot, crispy coating on the outside, tartar sauce on the side. The hand cut fries were firm and tasty. The shredded creamy cole slaw was sweet & tangy. The sautee dish had a mix of al dente cavatappi pasta tossed in a light cream tomato sauce with peppers, onions, small sausage bits and shaved parmesan cheese. I managed to finish both entrees and got the check with Toast QR code which was $33.64 with tax and before tip. The internet is very weak in this part of Deerfield, so had to pay the normal way. Overall, I enjoyed a great filling meal at Big Dog Pub. I will have to return here for breakfast!

For drinks, they have Pepsi fountain dtinks, beer (8 drafts on tap, bottled), seltzers, and wine. The pricing here seems fair. I stopped by Georgina's Pizzeria for takeout and the parking lot was almost full around 4:45pm. At the time of this posting, they did not offer online ordering (menu is up) and the place has been very busy this opening week. Locals seemed very anxious to try out the new pizza place, as there are already 4 other local pizza spots (EHOP, Hill Top, Cumbys (lol), CMan) in Epsom and this place also serves beer & wine. I ordered a Large 16" Eggplant Pizza ($18 plus tax) and a Chicken Parmesan ($16 plus tax), which took about 40 minutes for my order to be ready to go. Despite the wait here, the friendly staff calmly took care of the crowds streaming in here for sitdown dinner and takeout. As I was leaving, the parking lot was just about full. The pizza was top with a thick semi sweet savory red sauce topped with melted cheese and thin breaded fried eggplant slices on a soft semi thin crust with thicker chewy edges, not greasy. The Chicken Parm dinner had a bed of soft linguine (my choice) topped with a mild spicy hearty vodka sauce (my choice) and a big thick breaded chicken cutlet with red sauce & melted provolone cheese. The food I had was very filling to eat and I had leftovers for dinner for the next evening. I would definitely return again when the newness dies off, probably during lunch time when they have several kinds of traditional & specially pizza slices available to try out.
