I haven't done anything particularly evil lately, so for my 666th review, I'm thinking White Castle is the way to go. Oh dearest White Castle. When I moved to Boston, I actually wrote the company a letter asking them when they were going to build one in Boston. I gave terrific reasoning, citing the fact that Boston doesn't have any 24 hour places to eat and considering the amount of college students around, there'd be a constant line out the door. Alas, my persuasive letter didn't help much. Someone from corporate wrote back to me saying that they had already budgeted for X amount of stores and unfortunately none of the restaurants would be in MA. They would take my request into consideration for the next fiscal year.. ..I'm still waiting, White Castle. As for this location, this is where I roll when I'm visiting my mom despite the fact that it's a bit of a drive. In fact, I literally scheduled in time over Christmas to hit up this place. Check my iCal. I've been going here for years upon years. Tips from the Dish: Do bring cash money.. don't go to the place across the street to use their ATM.. do bring lots of friends.. don't come by yourself. Do order many tiny little burgers (skip on the cheeseburgers.. for your tummy's sake).. don't be ashamed at the amount of boxes that pile up - be creative and make small buildings.. do get chicken rings.. don't for the love of Pete order anything "surf n turf" or seafood in general (sure my friend ate that stuff while she was pregnant and her daughter hasn't grown any extra limbs.. yet). Do order your own food and get plenty of condiments.. don't back down when they give you the evil eye. Do come with patience.. don't expect your food to come out fast despite the small size of the food being ordered.. do go into this White Castle.. don't waste gas going through the take out window. Purell or baby wipes are also good for sanitizing the area you're sitting in. Do this and you will be satisfied (or as satisfied as can be expected). read more

This is the only white castle location i ever go to. cant speak for the drive thru service since i always either eat my food inside despite not that many seats available or i get it to go and bring my food to the car. this location has never disappointed me and the food here has always been delicious and fresh. i don't see how this location got so many bad reviews when i have never had a bad experience here in my multiple visits here. staff has always been very friendly too. nothing wrong with this location i highly recommend them! read more

The best White Castle restaurant around in my opinion. Been coming here since I can remember and have never had a bad experience. There's a White Castle down the street from me in Paterson and they are good to but the area is full of beggers and strung up people so I prefer Clifton. read more

Wow! Came here on a holiday and was pleased that they're open. Then I ordered 4 original sliders and 2 veggies_ I was eager to taste the veggie burger and it was pretty nice, without condiments. My order came out of the kitchen very fast, and I definitely reccommend using the drive thru in the future, as it is much faster than ordering inside. read more

One bad thing is the seating! Not much of it! Fries are always hot! Mozzeralla sticks aren't usually something that I have a craving for, but White Castle and Sonic both have the formula to get me back for it. This place is pretty fast considering how long the process for a stemmed burger and fresh fried food take. I don't mind waiting longer for hot food, and you should go in with the mind set that its not regular fast food. read more

This is literally the worst White Castle I've ever been too! The manager Angela allows the employees to lack customer service. They are giving you food without napkins or any condiments and not even asking if you want it. They speak to you as if you never ordered from their establishment in your life. Like if I order something a certain way then please give me my food that way!! Don't tell me no there's no onions on there like I'm blind, like wtf! I wish I could give this place no stars I hate poor customer service and an attitude when you're the one paying for it! If you can go elsewhere please do don't waist your money on this crap. D I S G U S T I N G!!! I live in California and everyone told me to try this place out...especially since it is infamous from a movie! Well, this location was not very clean and the service was horrible. The girl working the cashier was so slow and would tell me to "hold on" because she could not take the order as we were giving it to her. there's only like 4 choices..why is it so difficult? She was rude and talking to the other employees there. Well, if that wasn't bad enough..the food was gross!! i barely ate one of the two mini burgers and then had a stomachache from it... so i went here for a real quick lunch/treat on my way home from a doctors appointment this past friday. this was a good idea and a bad idea. i get White Castle every once in a while when I am in the area when I go to a Dr..not every time tho. we end up here maybe twice a year. well as good as they taste going in, they may not be so pleasent later on. The hamburgers, fries, onion rings and milkshake where all tasty as usual. WHenever I get fries and onion rings its always when I am with someone so i can just taste a few. the service was good and fast at the drive through which is always good. not a problem with that part at all. that was good cause we wanted in and out being stuck elsewhere all day. however the prices have gone up a little since the last time i have been there. another thing is be careful pulling out cause it seems to be a little dangerous. no one lets you out at all. read more

Good evening, The absolute worst!!! After several years of ignoring WC, I tried my favorite item, the chicken rings, NOT ONLY WHERE THEY WITHOUT CHICKEN FLAVOR, THEY ONLY TASTED LIKE THE OIL THEY WERE FRIED IN!!!! It is apparent that the upper echelons at WC get their samples from their R&D department served in a sterile environment. I attended the Clifton, NJ WC on Main Ave. and the WC on Rt. 17 perhaps in Lyndhurst never had a worse "meal?". Send your CEO to an outlying point and tell me his/her chicken rings don't taste like the oil it was fried in. As far as the sliders, they are not worth $1.69, Burger King/McDonald's and other fast food places offer better, and more flavorful food, and as far as your "unique" taste, dumping ketchup, instead of onions and pickles, you slather inexpensive ketchup which drips on my shirt instead of a "schmear" of Ketsup that is needed to gloss over the 2nd rate, 5 holed (meat?) be applied not the GLOBS. I understand independently owned franchises have some control, but if this is the dog leash you gave your CLIFTON, NJ STORE ON MAIN AVE AND PIAGET AVE, AND YOUR STORE ON RT 17 South IN EITHER WOOD BRIDGE OR TETERBORO, IF YOU CANT FIND YOUR OWN STORE I WILL SEND YOU A VIDEO. More of a eatery of nostalgic tradition than anything else. I always have to hit a White Castle when I'm traveling to NYC, I can't explain why, it just happens. Normally I hit one a little further south, but this one is just fine. It's a white castle, what do you expect, burgers in little boxes, semi ok fries, crap onion rings, and a soda. The prices have gone up in the past few years and I remember close to a decade ago when you could pick up 30 of these bad boys for 10 bucks, now its 20, still though, not a bad deal for this many sliders. I brought my fiancee with me since she has never been into a white castle, but has seen Harold & Kumar and decided she would like to know what the fuss was about. We arrived around 11:30 on a Friday morning/afternoon and only needed to wait a few minutes for our meal. The dining area in this location is exceedingly tiny, only about 5 tables. This whole location in and of itself is more of a peasant house than a castle, but it still cooks decent enough food for my purposes. read more
