My husband and I went here on Labor Day evening because we were in town visiting. We came here because the beer sounded good and the food looked amazing. The food deserves 5 stars, the brewery barely deserves 1. I'm only giving it a 1 because the beer was good. However, the service was AWFUL. my husband and I are very big brewery people and we have never had service this bad. The girls at the bar we not friendly, nor did they seem like they were interested in being there. I had to ask them if we could order food after being left unattended for over 20 minutes without being checked on. The girls at the bar were more focused on their phones and trying to kill flies rather than taking care of us. At one point we saw both of the girls fill a mixture of every beer on tap in a glass and then drink it themselves. I've been in the restaurant and service industry for years and I've never had a bartender that was so uninterested in their job or customers. The brewery was not even busy so there was no excuse for the lack of customer service. Honestly it was the worst experience we've ever had at a brewery and it's sad because the beer and food was actually good, it was just the awful service that will keep us from returning here again. read more

It's only been open for one week....solid start for such a new brewery! I had a flight of all the current beers on tap....and just like anything, liking beer is relative to the person...so here is my opinion. The BLACKBERRY SOUR was not for me, but if you like sours this might be a good one as they use fresh blackberries! The BLOOD ORANGE HEF was ok, but its brewed as a German style wheat, and the floral notes it finishes with aren't great. Also, really none of the blood orange comes through. The BLONDE is solid!!! What an easy drinking smooth blonde with not too much hops, finishes smooth. The SCOTCH ALE also a solid start...smooth and easy drinking, I did feel like it was missing something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The ENGLISH IPA was easy drinking too...definitely not the life of the party and doesnt stand out in a crowd, but overall ok. The HOPZILLA IPA...now we are talking!! This ia a very solid IPA...the receipe was purchased from Table Rock Brewery so if you are familiar, you will like it! Now on to atmosphere and staff...this can be summerized in one word...EXCELLENT!!! The atmosphere is modern, clean and cool...speaking of cool...did I mention they have a STRIP OF ICE GOING DOWN THE CENTER OF THE BAR TO KEEP YOUR BEER COLD WHILE YOU VISIT WITH ALL YOUR CLOSEST PEEPS.....BRILLIANT!!!!!! It was my first time here and I'm going to say: I am not a beer person, so if that's why you'd wanna come here, rock on. The food is from Smoking Thyme and I tried the tacos and the fries. The tacos were pretty good. A little pricey for what came to the table. The fries are coated with a disgusting cheddar, bitter gravy. Hard pass on the food. The customer service was terrible. When asked about the food, the waitress knew very little and went back and forth between yelling and not being loud enough for us to hear. Super bizarre visit. read more

I never write reviews but I was treated so poorly here I think it warrants one. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was maybe 1/3 full if that. I wasn't greeted and there wasn't any signage as to what to do (order at the bar or wait for a waiter/waitress), so I grabbed a table by the bar in very plain view of barstaff. I waited easily 15 minutes before the manager(owner?) came by and asked if I had been helped. I was checked on max 2 times in the hour I was there, while EVERY other customer who came in was greeted warmly and attended to immediately, then given a nice word before they left-- I was treated with not even half that consideration. It may be because I had an out of state shirt on, had piercings, or just wasn't a local, but the message was very clear: you're not welcome here if you're not a straight, white, Boise native. read more

Amazing!! We stopped here on our way through Boise during a road trip from Minnesota to California and we're not disappointed! The Beer and Bacon burger was exceptional-- doesn't need any additional toppings, it's perfect! The tacos were phenomenal as well (and they were authentic tacos, on small corn tortillas with cilantro, cabbage and tasty pork belly!) We ended up buying several six packs of the Scotch Ale and Blackberry Sour to take with us as a souvenir. We will definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

We ordered dinner and waited 40 minutes as other tables who came in after us got their food. The waitress said there was just one cook and said it would be 10 minutes. Getting to this place is a bit of a pain because your looking for parking. I remember this place used to be a burger joint called Modern grind burger if my mind serves me right. First impression is the awesome greetings we got from the staff! Friendly and gave us all the different tastes of beers on tap. I wish they had a real kitchen food versus having a food truck, we decided to not eat. So we were here for the drinks, the blood orange hef, didn't have much blood orange flavor but I like wheat beer so it was still good for me. The blonde ale was delicious, I wasn't much of a fan for the sour beers that were on tap. The table rock IPA was on point. I like that there is artwork there that goes with their name. I saw a bumper pool table that I will definitely come check out and play next visit. They have only been open for 18 days now but I think with all the great selection of beers and the bar having a chiller to keep your beer cold will make this place a popular spot for prefunking before going downtown for some bar hopping. Tip from the bartender, if you go around 5 there is some free parking spots in the front of the place so check it out and let the good times roll! read more

My god! Best fish and chips I've ever had. Fish was fresh and cooked just right. The chips were season with awesomeness. The Southern style tarter sauce disgraced all other tarter sauce out there. Met some friends here for the first time last weekend. It was pretty busy, so service was a bit slow. I believe our waiter usually bartends and I think he was a bit out of his comfort zone waiting tables. That being said, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the beer selection was great. The location seems to never have a place stick but I hope this one does. The IPA is not the hoppy west coast style that Boise seems to be overran with, the drinks and food are amazing prices during BSU games, and the food truck has some great food, especially the BLT.
