I have attended two recent funerals and the white dove release from Hacienda Heights was the vendor for both. One was at the Forest Lawn in Covina Hills and the other was In Long Beach. Highly Recommend. I rarely give 5 stars. But these were deserved. We didn't have a date for my nieces funeral because of the circumstances of how she passed. I sent a message on here a week before asking if they would be available for her service the following Friday. I was told that they were very busy for that day and time but could do it with 10 doves instead of 20. I was so grateful. I was told by Tim to call Alma to provide more details to her. She was very kind. After speaking with Alma, Tim messaged me to let me know they would try their best to get me 18 doves (my niece was 18 yrs old) but would know closer to the day. Well, they came through and we're able to get me the 18 doves. - The response on Yelp is quick, professional and kind. - Prior to the day they call to go over the details. - They ask what religion the family practices so that they can accommodate accordingly. - They arrive 15 minutes prior to the cemetery. - I made the payment over the phone to not have to worry about it on the day of. - Brian (representative that went) was so kind and made sure to speak with me about what was going to happen and to make sure we agreed with everything. He had a very comforting spirit. Prior to the dove release he gave a small speech of what the dove release represents. When having a memorial - you already feel so vulnerable and have such high emotions. In my experience, my family unfortunately lost 2 family members within 2 weeks of each other. We had a joint celebration of life. The grief was very heavy among us. It feels like absolutely anything you do - won't be good enough to honor their memory. You may even wonder if it's worth it. From beginning of the process of booking the doves, to the time we had the service. It honestly went above and beyond what I was expecting. It was so worth every penny. It was like the doves knew exactly how to act and represent the 2 loved ones we lost. We released one dove and it flew up on a post and waited for the next dove to be released so they could fly home together. It was a very touching moment. We used the white dove release service for my grandmother's cemetery services at Rose Hills. It was beautiful. We were not able to release all 20 doves at once instead we did four groups of five which worked out because parents were able to help their children. read more

I booked this place in 2008 for my nephew. The dove gentleman was an older man. I don't remember his name. I found this place online. I loved how they were at the cemetery in time and the gentleman read a bible verse and explained it. We had a catholic ceremony and he read the verse of Jesus going and preparing a place for us. He gave the dove to my sister and other relatives and it all went smoothly. Would recommend however I don't know if service has gone downhill but it was excellent when we used it. ‍ I will add too that the service was bilingual. Very pleased with his Spanish too. read more

I called and left a message yesterday and Annette called today and quoted me their pricing. Their minimum order is 20 birds for $270. Well we don't need that many so she got the owner Luther to give a discount of 10 birds for $225. Although a discount to Luther not really to me. The 10 birds is okay just giving $55 off was not much of a savings. I know they are running a business but we just wanted 5 to 10 birds to release at aunt funeral service and don't have a lot of money due to COVID. He wasn't willing to budge on price and it was just very disappointing especially when other companies were offering 12 doves for $120. We wanted to something special for our aunt's send off and companies should have smaller packages to accommodate all prospects and customers not just larger packages that give them more money. read more

Just used White Dove Release for my dad's burial. I could not have been more pleased with their service. Starting with the phone call to inquire about their services to the day of the service. An elderly gentleman explained the symbolism behind the release of the doves in both English and Spanish. I loved the hands on release. Family members were chosen and asked to hold a dove and say something that was meaningful then release the dove. My siblings and I went first. I also had a mariachi there so when the first 3 doves were released I had them play Las Golondrinas (one of my dad's favorite songs). Not the same bird but touching and moving nonetheless.
