I had a very disappointing experience with this company from both a customer service and pest control standpoint. On 7/27, I called to cancel my service and was told someone from the cancellation department would call me back to process the cancellation. No one ever called. On 7/28, my account was still charged. By 7/30, after still not receiving a callback, I called again. The representative I spoke with told me my account was closed and that nothing further was owed. She then transferred me to Leticia in the cancellation department, who gave me completely different information. She told me we owed two additional months of service and that the account would be sent to collections. The way the conversation was handled was unprofessional. When I explained that we were canceling because the pest control service wasn't working and that we had already hired another company, she responded by saying the reason we still had roaches was because of the area we live in. She then said, "Sure, go ahead and go to another company. Have them pay your final fees and collection fees." I was shocked that someone in customer service would speak to a customer that way. Beyond the customer service issues, the pest control itself was ineffective. After months of treatments, we were still dealing with roaches, which is the main reason we decided to switch companies. For a local, small business, I expected much better communication, consistency, and professionalism. I'm baffled by the low reviews. We've been using this company for over a decade, and we've never had a problem. Never. In ten years. What else could we possibly want for them? What are people finding to complain about? Their people are rude? We've never experienced that, but also, why are you talking to them? I don't think we've talked to anyone at this company outside of the occasional quick chat with our technician. We have no bugs, so what would we be talking about? They charge every month, but only come out bi-monthly? I don't even know if that is true, because WE HAVE NO BUGS. So what do I care how often they come out? I have no bugs. Was told when speaking with a rep in June that the June service would be the last of my contract. I get a call today telling me that my service would be tomorrow 8/8. I called and spoke with someone named Yvonne saying that when I spoke to someone in June that they told me it was my last service. Because I didn't say "I want to cancel my contract", the service "automatically renews" without notifying the customer, and they need a 30 day notice to cancel your account. She immediately got snippy when I said I was told in June on the phone it would be my last service. Kept saying "refer to the contract". Then told me she would pull my transcript from the last call. On May 26, 2026, we sent a formal written dispute email to White Knight Pest Control requesting documentation and clarification regarding charges they claim we owe following the contract expiration. In that email, we requested: 1. A complete itemized breakdown of the charges being claimed, especially a clear explanation how they came up with the charges that are not listed on the contract. 2. The exact calculation used to arrive at the alleged balance, 3. The specific section(s) of the signed contract authorizing each charge, 4. Copies of any signed addendums, renewals, or amendments you believe apply, To date, we have not received a substantive written response addressing these requests. Instead of providing the requested documentation, White Knight continually sent emails denying our request and changing the reason as to why they can't provide a response. The company's lack of response precludes us from properly evaluating the validity of the charges. As consumers, we believe we are entitled to a clear explanation of any amounts being claimed, along with the contractual basis for those charges. The company's lack of responsiveness has prevented us from resolving this matter. We are seeking a fair resolution and for White Knight to provide a complete written response regarding this matter. I told him I only wanted a one-time service, and he quoted me $149. I scheduled the appointment -- but then he sent me a contract for a recurring $149 every two months. I reminded him again that I only wanted a single service. His response was: "I'll cancel your account... When bugs are dying they lay eggs to help them survive so you NEVER want to do a one-time service, you will have an infestation... Just enjoy them." I should have stayed with HOME TEAM. Sales guy with White Knight signed us up with a special discount for the year. We were clear we had a dog. 1st treatment, the man was extremely rude about our dog. He said we either needed to lock her in a kennel or in a room. He demanded my husband stop her from barking (she was behind a closed door and no where near him. She is a scared rescue.) We had advised we would put the dog out back when he needed to come in, and that seemed to be an issue. The 2nd and 3rd trips seemed to be good, and he caught wasps nests that weren't caught on the 1st treatment. The 4th treatment was termite. We were only advised it was outdoors, otherwise for safety (and to handle our dog) my husband would be home. The service outdoors wasn't even completed (never even went in my backyard, contraptions were untouched) before he asked to come inside. (Pictures show he just dropped the termite contraptions all over our property, because I refused entry to my home for my safety.) The 4th guy did not have White Knight shirt or sign on his truck. My husband called and asked why did you need to come inside, and could not get a clear answer or even to ask why this was not properly communicated. During this call a supervisor hung up on him, because she could not answer the question. We called again, and got to a manager and she refused to let my husband authorize for me to speak to them. They also charge you $179 to break the contract, when they didn't provide the service and communicate properly. White Knight breaks contracts and forces you to pay for it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would need to pay $1800 for their termite service, along with monthly subscription ($60) to maintain the warranty ($720 annually). This felt like a money grabbing scheme to lock me into a monthly payment that I would likely forget about in order to ensure their termite process which didn't feel right. When I tried to discuss the termite service further with White Knight, (I initially spoke with the Sales Rep who did the inspection), I spoke with two representatives who claimed to be an "expert" but clearly lacked knowledge and seemed more interested in getting me off the phone than addressing my concerns and questions. This lack of expertise and dismissive attitude was incredibly unhelpful and moved me to cancel my ongoing bug service. Note: I ended up getting a second quote for termites and opinions of neighbors who had termite work done and they all felt this was an overreach in regards to a monthly payment to ensure warranty. We went with another pest control company that was not only less expensive, with a different type of treatment, but had a 5 year warranty. The cancellation process for my regular bug service was an absolute nightmare. After weeks of trying to cancel my service, White Night Pest Control put a hold on my account, insisting I speak with a "Customer Advocate" to finalize the account closure. It took numerous phone calls and persistent effort to finally reach a customer advocate. To add insult to injury, I was then informed that I would be charged for my last payment because I hadn't provided 30 days' notice, despite my weeks-long attempts to cancel and their failure to return my calls. They only sent emails and texts stating I needed to call them back to fully close the account, creating an endless loop of frustration. Overall, White Night Pest Control demonstrated a severe lack of transparency, poor customer support, and a deliberately difficult cancellation process. Just the other day, I got an email saying I owe three more payments of $35 for not giving 30 days' notice. Now, I'm getting texts saying they'll start charging me late fees. We travel a lot for work and one of the things we liked was they would come into the house with a door code and treat if we were away. Told them the issues we had before and that we would not tolerate those issues again. They said there had been some management changes and those issues wouldn't happen again. We told them again we would be out of town and gave them a code for the door. They showed up. Knocked once, didn't bother with the door bell, and immediately left. No phone call with message saying they were trying to get in or sorry they missed us. I saw it all on the multiple security cameras. I immediately called to find out why he didn't go in or even wait. I was told he won't go in with no one home. I explained that they have done it multiple times and it was made clear when booking the appt that we wouldn't be home which is why we gave them a code. After asking for a supervisor four times and being told no one was available I was put on hold for over an hour. Then told they weren't going to "LET" me stay on hold anymore and were going to hang up on me. I said you need to try finding a supervisor again because if you hang up on me after holding for more than an hour I'm cancelling my $250/ month worth of services. Then suddenly there was an "account supervisor" available. I said you could have transferred me to them an hour ago. He said "no i couldn't have" and then transferred me. The account supervisor picked up. I had to tell him everything all over again. To which he replied "It has been our company policy not to enter when unoccupied for the last 8 years. We cannot do your service. Sorry." The first time we signed up was less than 6 years ago. They have gone in and treated inside with no one home, and no issues being in the house alone, half a dozen times so clearly that's not a policy set in stone. And why not have a waiver in place for people that are ok with it? I said if you guys aren't going to continue to be able to do this we are going to have a hard time maintaining your services. Without the slightest pause he said "Ok. I guess the only other option is to cancel your account. Let me get that started for you." I said you aren't going to make any effort to keep your customer that is paying $250 a month to you. I had a guy come to my door saying they would do a treatment for $50, with the idea that if I liked there work they could do a bimonthly treatment for $100. All sounded reasonable. However, they did not show up, call, or text within the full 2 hour window they gave. Ten minutes after the window ended, they texted promising to be there in an hour. Eventually a guy did show up. Additionally, someone named Jasmine tried to call me from the the company while the guy was here and texted me. I thought that was a litlle odd, but I tried to call back. No response. I tried to text. No response. Obviously, this was not a company I wanted to deal with regularly, so the next day I tried to call to cancel any future service, at which point the guy who picked up the phone put me on hold for several minutes before telling me that their "customer advocate" was the only one who could cancel and she was busy. Guess who hasn't called me back? If they cancel my account before trying to charge me again, I'll be happy to remove this. I had been a customer for two years and reached out to cancel on April 1, 2024, well within the 30-day period before my next service. I spoke with Carlos, who offered me a free service after I explained my financial struggles due to unemployment. Reluctantly, I accepted, thinking it was a kind gesture. However, in September, I contacted them again to cancel and was told by another representative, Alecia, that I owed for the "free" service because I was not continuing services. Carlos never mentioned this catch. Alecia, growing frustrated during our conversation, hung up on me after claiming she'd cancel my account. On our last call the representative let it slip that they did not even service my house on the last visit that they charged me for. All I asked was to be let of my contract with a zero dollar balance and we could go our separate ways. They are unwilling to do this even when they know they are in the wrong. This will be escalated to consumer affairs and the necessary licensing bodies. The purpose of this post is to protect other consumers. If they agree to do the right thing and close my account I will remove this post. You charged me for a service you admittedly didn't perform and then refused my reserve in Lou of another service that you wanted to charge me for. That is fraud.
