I've been here now for just over 5 weeks, during which I had * Rats - exterminator set traps and sprayed * Possum or rodent scratching inside the walls near the kitchen * Possum or rodent scratching ceiling above the kitchen * Porch umbrellas are broken and rusted * Carpet was never cleaned. Still had stains from previous guests * 3 power outages * A very loud upper neighbor 66 year old woman stumping loudly * Stairs to unit above garage are very loud in third bedroom * Coin washer/dryer are rusted and sometimes don't work * The dog upstairs is running wild after every passer by * Strange noises for the past few weeks in the middle of the night * Major leakage during the heavy rains 10 days ago * Middle of the night I stumble over a glass crack pipe on toilet floor * Next morning I find some Cocaine in the same area. * The door code clearly is not secure. In talking with the rental company, White Sail Realty in Newport Beach, I was expressing that I was reaching my limit. I have not had a full night's sleep since I arrived here and it is influencing my work. Yesterday morning they initially offered me a full refund plus refund of my security deposit and cleaning fee is I moved out then. I did not want to lose the ocean view, but after thinking about it I accepted that offer, and then got an immediate response that Baylee Leavitt had actually "worded it wrongly" and that they were only offering a refund for the days left within this months rent plus my security deposit and cleaning fee. And that was it. So I endured all that crap at full price, thank you very much! I've been very tolerant given the Christmas holidays etc, but it is getting from bad to worse and White Sail Realty is sticking their head in the sand. They make and offer and once I accept they withdraw the offer. What sort of a business is this? At least try and compromise, but not this. read more

Every interaction has been a breeze and all of my maintenance requests were responded to/ fixed within a few days and timely repairs were fixed almost immediately. Julia Morton was our point of contact through White Sail Reality for a 9 month winter rental in Newport Beach. My roommates and I all signed a contract. Over the course of a month and a half, we emailed, called, texted, and visited the realtor office to get in contact with Julia and to move forward with the process. There was no response. She informed us that our lease fell through about two and a half weeks before our scheduled move in date. My three roommates and I still do not have a place to live. I believe Julia Morton can be an excellent realtor, but she does not check and respond to emails in a timely manner. She relies on an online system to keep track of her properties. read more

I have never had such an unprofessional experience while trying to rent a house. Our lease has been signed and completed, but our realtor, Julia Morton, stopped responding to our emails after we had signed our lease. 2 weeks away from move in Julia finally responds to my room mate, stating she has terminated our lease and given our house away --making false claims that someone did not sign the lease, and even admitting to ignoring some of our emails. She made no effort to rectify the situation. I have sent emails, left voicemails, and even gone in person to White Sail Realty, only to be dodged and ignored. I still have not heard back from Julia as to what happened to our lease, it has been 2 months of trying to get ahold of her. We are now without a home, struggling to find a place that will let us move in immediately. TLDR: DO NOT use white sail realty, it is NOT WORTH IT. Avoid at all costs. read more

My roommates and I were in the process of renting one of the rentals from Julia Morton. She was good to work with, however after signing the agreement Julia was very hard to get a hold of. We all tried contacting her and I even visiting her office to discuss the agreement further, but she was always unavailable. She then did the unthinkable and gave away our house and claimed that we had an issue with the agreement. If we had an issue/questions about the agreement, then why didnt she contact us about it first? Overall I would not do business with Julia Morton ever again and the process solidified how unprofessional of a realtor she really is. My husband and I got a beach front rental for a stay cation/babymoon. It was such an amazing experience. Beautiful view of the ocean and getting to listen to the ocean at night. Truly disappointed in this realty company. Myself and all three of my roommates signed a lease and received a confirmation on it. We had been trying to contact our realtor for several weeks but she had ignored all of our messages. Due to the lack of communication one of our roommates went in person to the office and one of the realtors assured us that our contract looked like it was in good shape. Just a couple of weeks before we were going to move in Julia contacted us making claims that our contract was never admitted, although each of us had received email confirmation upon signing. Worst vacation rental I've ever stayed in. Construction going on two of the seven days we were here in other units. Furniture from Goodwill and falling apart. Glass all over the patio when we arrived. BBQ grill old and needed cleaning. Cabinet doors falling off or missing. Gas cooktop only with a couple of burners that would light. When I tell you to stay far away from this "real estate establishment" I really mean it. My roommates and I lived at one of their rentals for just under a year and within those 9 months had the worst experiences with them. Here's a few: They would NEVER reply to us unless we all bombarded them with messages, never pick up the phone either. They would wait SO LONG to respond to maintenance requests. The realtor we were specifically assigned to stopped working for them, never told us, yet continued to text us about the property when the other realtors told us she wouldn't. They mis-charged us rent one month and tried to get us to pay an extra $400!!!!! I literally had to correct them and all they had to say was "oops you're right." They didn't tell us our property was INFESTED with mold before we signed the lease so we're probably will forever have bacteria and chemicals in our lungs now. They had neighbors on the street that would spy on us and send messages to our realtor so she could try and get us in trouble. They took 21 days to send us back our security deposit when the national time limit for them is 21 DAYS. We had to message them over ten times for the status of our deposit with little to no response until I had to call them multiple times. LASTLY, they LIED to us and said we wouldn't have to pay for the deep cleaning and carpet cleaning fee at the end of move out but guess what- it's on our charge invoice! This was the worst group of the MOST unprofessional "real estate agents" ever. Go to Burr white or somewhere else instead literally ANYWHERE ELSE PLEASE I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU- THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU LIKE THEY DID TO US. read more

My parents rented 1616 for our family summer vacation . Couldn't have had a better location, beautiful beautiful! This is my first time leaving a review on Yelp. My parents don't know how to do this and was hoping to leave some constructive criticism that can help. Pam and Art are nice and do what they can to make you happy. But I have to be honest Emily needs to listen more to the customers and not be so pushy, learn more about what's being rented.The house was really needing some updating. Furniture was pretty old and the bathrooms are way out dated and shower was cracking with holes in it. Kitchen had all the amenities that we needed. Which is nice. The house was spotless and smelled so good when we walked in. Love walking into a rental with a clean smell like that. The towels were made into cute figures on the bathroom counter tops, we have never seen that before. But in all honesty for the money they paid the house should have had more updating done. If it wasn't for the view ,location and cleanliness it would have been 1 star. Lots of money for a dated rental. read more

This firm is awesome. They made my short honey moon extremely memorable. My wife and I loved the way they accommodated us at our rental. The process to rent out a place is easy and very efficient. Everything is done via the app and digitally. Even the entrance to the house was digital. The home we stayed in had a beautiful beachfront and it was peaceful. The kitchen was clean and it was right next to all the action in Newport Beach in the balboa peninsula. We had a fabulous experience with White Sail Realty at our first beach rental in Newport Beach on the boardwalk on Ocean Front Ave. The property was just as described, lovely, upgraded, with plenty of linens, beach towels, bath towels, toiletries, fantastic atmosphere and facilities, and really great communication before and during our stay. We even had someone come by while we were there to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. As a top producing professional Real Estate agent in Orange County, I'm a bit particular in terms of communication and customer service, and I have to say that White Sail went above and beyond in terms of service and communication. We plan to make this an annual tradition and increase our stay next year to an entire week and maybe even build on that to create great memories for our family for years to come.
