Very disappointed in the service. We had felicita as our bartender on Saturday February 29. We had a couple drinks and ordered a burger to go well done. We waited for 47 minutes for our food. Many times us and other customers at the bar were sitting and waiting for her to show up. There seemed to be more people worried about if the beer was stocked and I don't know what else they were doing but they weren't anywhere to be found most of the time. They were of potato chips, which came with one of the menu items.They were out of ranch dressing. I couldn't ask for a flatbread with no tomatoes because they arrive pre-made. I was told to pick them off. If I would have know this before I sat down, I would have grabbed a quick bite, but I had time to kill and I figured I'd sit and relax. Fried pickles were overly cooked and overly salty. I wouldn't recommend if you're a fried pickles lover. I did order the flat bread and I picked off the tomatoes. I'd rather be served Ellio's Pizza than be served that. I had to ask for a fork, knife, and napkins. Service was okay, not very attentive if you're sitting alone. So take this rating with a grain of salt - is this the best lunch in Chicago? Absolutely not. But it is a VERY good option of you are at Midway and want a decent glass of wine and a salad or sandwich in a sit-down environment. Yes, it takes a bit longer than a food court,so if you are in a rush, rush straight past this joint. But if you have time to spare, go! The location is perfect - just past security. I love sitting at the counter facing the terminal - so much terrific people watching! On a recent visit, I had the Union Kale Salad with poached shrimp, pickled onions, green apple slivers and shaved fennel. It was a very upscale dish for airport food. The dressing included golden raisins, which made it a tad on the sweet side. But who can complain when you have a fresh salad - not in a box - at Midway! Service is a tad scatterbrained but I can't imagine how busy they must be, so I won't don't them too much for that. I can't really say much for the food as I went for breakfast and got fruit and yogurt and the service was fine I guess. But the restaurant is super cramped. The tables are laid out in a way that you have to maneuver in between chairs to get anywhere. This is an airport restaurant which means that everyone has bags of some kind and it is impossible to get through the restaurant. Every time a waitress walked by my table they bumped into my chair or my bag. At one point an older man was trying to get by our table so I tried to move my chair out of the way and almost broke my toe on the table! read more

My flight was delayed. It was just me so I sat at the bar. The bartender was great, smiles friendly, efficient. She recommended the wings and they hit the spot! I didn't order an alcholic drink but my iced tea was refilled continuously. It was crowded but the service seemed to move patrons along quickly and bar spots were kept clean. They were out of pulled pork, so no Midwest Cuban or the other prom dishes on the menu. So I got the Korean chicken sandwich. It came with nothing on the sandwich but the breaded chicken. The chicken I had to eat with a fork and it was way over salted, the salt drowned out the possibly good Korean sauce. They were also out of fried pickles, French fries and napkins to add on to the no pork. I could only get sweet potato fries and those were only half cooked. I also only received one glass of soda with no refill, good thing I had some water. Left without finishing the meal and went over to Gold Coast Dogs. Will not return. read more

Wait 15min for our name to be called standing 10ft from the hostess after she told us 5-10min. After she seats several people who put their name down well after us, I inquire with her as to where we are in the order, she says "your name is crossed off the list, your name was called" Well she didn't call our name and she didn't even offer an apology or seem remorseful, just said again "your name was called, there was no answer, you'll have to wait". I took an early flight into Midway from Austin TX and was starving when I got here. The service was great. Had the omelette and it was fantastic. Not the normal airport breakfast. I highly suggest whatever you have you should include the "tator tot hash". So good. Had the best spicy Bloody Mary I've ever had in an airport, and I travel ALOT. Really great place. They were not rude and got the order right; however, service was slow. Our order went in right away. 15-20 mins later, our meals came out; we were still waiting for our beverages. The final beverage came out midway our meal. Not sure if it had to do with it being Sun morning, reason for 3 vs 2 stars.
