They say you don't know what you got til it's gone and that's true, when I decided to try another dentistry, Gentle Family Dentistry on Cedar Crest. My first visit there I was told I had 19 cavities and it was going to cost me more than $3,500 to fix it all - and of course they were very quick to offer me a finance plan through a "3rd party" company. Needless to say I ran back to Dorneyville as fast as I can. Dorneyville has a great staff and they do a good job, fair, and they don't try to add on more stuff for you than you actually need. In fact they told me I only have two areas that they'll keep a watch over and fillings aren't even needed. I had them retake xrays and examine my teeth, as well as re-clean my teeth since they didn't feel clean at all after having it done at the other place.

I called my regular Dentist and was told we'll have to squeeze you in on Monday. I was almost pleading with him. To no avail I was told to call Monday morning at 815am to be squeezed in. I looked on the internet and found Washington family dentist. Even though it was an hour before they closed, after explaining my situation Dr. Riesenberg felt it was serious enough to see me. I had never met him before . I was not a patient of the practice. Dr Riesenberg and his staff were very accommodating. They put me at ease. So it turns out I had a infection which is a serious issue an needed to be dealt with today not Monday . Dr Riesenberg also did some tricks to ease my pain quickly. Our insurance recently changed, and the office called me the day before the appointment requesting the updated information. When they first called, I explained that I didn't have the new insurance information available at that moment but would call back later that day or the following morning to provide it. Despite that, I received another call later the same day asking for the same information, even though I had already committed to calling back. I called the office to provide the information and also expressed that I was frustrated by the repeated calls. My concern was never about the importance of having accurate insurance information--I completely understand that. I work in customer service myself, and I appreciate the need for accurate records. My frustration was simply that I had already told the office I would call back, yet I felt pressured before I had the opportunity to do so. Rather than acknowledging my concern, the office manager spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. She even asked if I "always talk to my customers the way I was talking to her," despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the conversation. I never raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully; I simply expressed my frustration with how the situation was handled. As a parent, first impressions matter when choosing healthcare providers for my children. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with little confidence in the office's approach to communication and customer service, so I chose to cancel our appointments and seek dental care elsewhere.

This was the worst experience at a dental office I've ever had in my life. I was traveling and…read moreended up needing a dentist badly as the pain in my tooth had caused me to not sleep for two days. Out of my state this office told me to come in. After taking an x ray he told me was not sure which tooth was effected but guessed one. Sent me to look at getting a root canal somewhere else. When I left he refused to give me pain relief other than to continue Motrin which was already not working. Said other than that there was nothing he could do for me. The other office he referred me to had not been notified. His attitude was horrific. He acted like he didn't care, didn't know and too bad for me. He got my money and sent me on my way. With no help. His attitude over the phone when I called back to ask why he gave me Motrin which wasn't helping was sickening. I called my dentist back home and they immediately called me in a script for pain and antibiotics. I would never recommend anyone to this place. He was the worst experience I've ever had in a time of desperate need he almost enjoyed watching me suffer.

In the last 2 years when I complain of pain, they use xrays yet never check my teeth. The dentist should look inside and touch the teeth. See what they look like. Since I started going here, I have had more cavities, breaking teeth, and serious problems than any other time in life. I have tooth pain, it must be loss of gums or floss more. If the tooth is bad or has a cavity it needs attention not just floss. I am so tired of McDentists and McDoctors. I have 3 black teeth and 2 in pain in other areas, and I was just at the dentist 3 months ago. They said the pain was from age and gum loss........... Or how about whatever turned them black?

She got me in as a new patient fairly quickly and did a thorough exam. She addressed my concerns, and suggested some options. I am VERY pleased, and happy I found a dentist who has passion and is dedicated to patient care. Thank you Dr. Muff and team. Highly recommend! I want to share an example of how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Muff is - my one tooth was causing me sharp sensitivity to liquid, that started a few months ago. The dentist I WAS seeing at the time said there was nothing to worry about.. well upon arrival to Dr. Muff's she examined the area (which at one point had a filling done that was poorly done) and insisted I see an endodontist for a potential root canal.. as that is what she suspected was needed. Shortly after, I got into the specialist she recommended, and the imaging/specialist indeed confirmed I needed a root canal! My tooth already feels better. Can't thank Dr. Muff and Dr. Jabbs from Silvaggio Endodontics enough! 10/10!!!

Ive seen two other dentists who do not agree with that diagnoses or the excessive charges.
