What an awesome mountaintop restaurant! The mountain views are absolutely gorgeous and the waitstaff were very friendly. The mushroom risotto was excellent and filling, perfect for a midday skiing lunch.

Great place to warm up with some hot cheese fondue mid skiing! The cheese fondue was plenty for 2 and came with a wide variety of dippers. The service was great and was very busy for lunch on a Thursday but we easily got a table and service was fast.

This is the prawns in the skillet. They had a very good cream sauce.

Not only was there a lovely gondola ride up to the restaurant, they offer a shuttle from the lift! This was great for those who have limited walking ability. The view was amazing! It was a beautiful day, so you could enjoys the mountains quite well. Our group could not say enough about the food! Everyone in our group of six enjoyed their food! The prawns skillet was over the top! This would be our first choice. Our friends had the children with butternut squash, which they liked. Also, the ahi tuna was stellar!

This restaurant probably takes the cake for "most expensive restaurant to get to", but if you're already planning on taking the Lake Louise ski Gondola the view alone here is worth the visit. Once at the top of the gondola you do have to take a short downhill walk to get to the restaurant. The walk down is easy and the walk back up is easy to moderate depending on how much you had to eat and drink here. Pro tip - elevation and power walking uphill after a cocktail don't necessarily go together. We visited in July on what was a rather chilly and slightly misty day, which unfortunately led to the deck being closed for seating. We came in fairly early on a weekday, didn't have reservations but we were still able to get a seat at one of the high tops a short distance back from the windows. To drink I ordered the Lift cocktail, their sort of twist on an espresso martini, it tasted a little more chocolate martini than espresso, but it was pretty and delicious none the less. To eat I had the pan roasted Arctic char. It was served with some veggies and over a bed of beet gnocchi. The char was quite delicious as it was seasoned wonderfully and had nice crispy edges, it was cooked a little longer than I would've preferred, but still so tasty. Unfortunately the beet gnocchi was sort of bland and didn't have much flavor to it. My mom ordered the garlic prawns & mushrooms and a salad. The salad was quite unique in the way that it was served, she enjoyed it and I liked the few bites I had. The garlic mushrooms and prawns were really good! Both were super rich and buttery, would definitely recommend ordering this for the table. Our server Laura was super nice and fun to talk to, we had a good time sharing different places around town to eat and drink at.

I am a big fan of this bistro. Whenever we go to Lake Louise, we always go here. It's on top of a mountain in Lake Louise Ski Resort. You have to take gandola to go upto the mountain. It's an open gandola and you feel the fresh breeze of fresh air. Once we spotted couple of brown bears underneath. It's always so exciting. Once you reach on the top, you get unbelievable panoramic mountain view from this bistro. They have indoor seating and also a big patio. From patio you can see the Lake Louise. The view is just so heavenly. You have to go there to understand and feel this blissful experience. The food is as exceptionally good as the views. Once we tried the Cheese Fondue inside on a chilly day, which was nicely paired with a Chardonnay. Once on a beautiful summer day, we had chicken lettuce tacos and passion fruit crepes. They have good selection of drinks. While writing this review, I am already feeling so happy and good thinking about when I will go here again. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Try it once and you will crave to go back.

Gorgeous view, nice service, and delicious food. We got a burger, the braised lamb meatballs, and a chai latte. The braised lamb meatballs stole the show and were super tender!

Best food on our week long trip to Lake Louise. The incredible view WAS expected, but the beautifully prepared burger and shrimp/mushroom dishes were not. Lovely service from a cadre of Australian women on work visas. Even the bathroom was elegant and spotless. Take the chair lift, look for bears, and enjoy the afternoon.

You can find this iconic and instagrammable restaurant on the top of the ski hill in Lake Louise. You either take the chair or the gondola up to the top and its about a 10 minute walk from the top over the side where the restaurant is located. They serve local and artisanal food and drinks. They have an amazing patio perfect for the summer months. We shared mussels, fondue, charcuterie board, Caesar salad with Tuscan chicken and heaps of drinks! Such a great menu and cool restaurant. A must visit if you're in Lake Louise or Banff!

Delicious food and AMAZING views!!! Probably one of the best lunch meals we've ever had in between ski slopes and lifts anywhere. The meal choices in the Lake Louise area is limited in general, considering which this is worth 5 stars in my opinion. They are only open for lunch though.

We had halibut with quinoa, signature hamburger, and goat cheese cake and all all them were delicious. Halibut was pan fried to perfection-slight crunch but still juicy. Hamburger was also juicy and thick. Fries that came with it was good too. Thought the portion was small but it was actually filling at the end. Cheese cake had a thin layer of sugar on top that gives a nice touch. It's interesting taste and not heavily sweetened like other cakes I had before. View was amazing and service was good and quick.

The Whitehorn Bistro is a hidden gem that is halfway up the front face of the Lake Louise ski hill. With amazing views, this sit-down restaurant was completely redone in the last 2 years, and the menu put together by a former chef of the Wynn Casino/Resort in Las Vegas. I have eaten there a few times, having had the seafood risotto the last time. It came with a good portion of fresh scallops, shrimp, lobster, clams and mussels. Delicious! The time before, I'd had the pan-seared salmon. Seared with skin on, I was really surprised at how soft and flavourful the salmon was under what visually appeared to be a drier upper layer (it wasn't). I look forward to eating at the Whitehorn Bistro any chance I get. Given it's so new, it relatively easy to get seats, though I suggest you get there at least shortly before noon on the weekends.

Appetite ruin. The wait for lunch was horrible, almost an hour and still waiting after 20 minutes eating to be seated.

Great food and very attentive service. The portions are also very filling. I had the Whitehorn burger - it had an interesting tomato and pepper relish that was quite tasty and complimented the burger well. My husband had the bison sirloin (steak) and it was a very generous portion too. We sat by the window on the inside since it was a bit chilly outside but the view was still really good and we could see the mountains clearly.

We tried everything on the menu and the food is great quality especially for the price. Considering you are completely captive audience the prices are amazing they could probably get away with charging three times this amount and they would still have customers because there's absolutely nowhere else to eat on the hill except on the front side. The staff are always amazing. There's also an extra special restaurant at the top level where you can eat seafood and steak cooked on a hot rock ! If you would rather be spending your time eating specialty fabulous food rather than skiing personally for me I've only stopped there once because I'd rather be skiing but I know some people are a little bit lazier than me and they enjoy that kind of thing. It's lovely to have variety. Personally I don't really understand why this restaurant is open and serving meals indoors not just take out during Covid but my kids and I are very very very appreciative. I wish I had more photos of the interior but I'll add some shots of what it looks like just outside. You cannot beat this view.

It was the closest thing to Asian food in the area. My wife ordered the grizzly bear roll and that consisted of salmon in the middle and smoked salmon on top. The sushi literally just fell apart when we picked it up and the rice felt kind of old. Which was strange because we ordered a few Nigiri pieces and the texture of the rice between the two were different. I also ordered a Tonkatsu ramen. It was neither nor good nor bad it did the job. I did like the charred pork slices though.
