I ordered 10 medium shrimp and they gave me small shrimp and crunchy crumbs. It came with a half of jar of oysters. They gave me three hard oysters. The fries are not fresh at all. I paid almost $17 and Honestly this was the worst food I've had in a while, My Red Snapper taste old like it had already been siting or fried in old oil, the fries weren't seasoned and the side of Macaroni Salad was horrible. Here's the issue with the low rating: Called for a pickup order and was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. When we arrived we were told that there was no record of the order. But he later said he did remember talking to my spouse. Okay?!? Then when we placed the order again while there we were told that it would be more expensive to buy the fish by the piece as opposed to buying a combination plate. This wasn't communicated to us when we placed the phone order. We request that the fish and the shrimp be placed in separate containers and bags due to food allergies. Yep, they placed everything in one bag. The fish was soggy. I remember the original owner and his son. The catfish is delicious, the shrimp are SUPERB, the red snapper is bomb. Even the tartar sauce is the best I've had. Their sides are delicious, but if you like macaroni salad, I highly recommend it -- it's definitely above the rest of the mac salads I've tasted. New owners, poor phone service get someone who speaks English and knows the menu and not try to bait and switch your combos and weekly specials with higher prices. You know how that is. So, we remembered Whitehurst. My sister ordered their chicken wings combo with extra fries. It was good. The very next day, we ordered the same thing with a fish combo. We weren't disappointed. I knew it was too good to be true. Maybe less than a week later, we ordered our usual. When we got home, we were sorely disappointed. The chicken smelled and looked like it was cooked in old burnt cooking oil. The fries look liked they were recooked too many times. I called them and told them how we felt. They apologized and offered to accommodate us whenever we came back. We didn't plan to go back. Not too soon. So maybe a month had passed. Monday, I believe we ordered our usual. May sister asked the cashier if the oil was clean? Of course he said yes. When she brought the food home. It was the same issue we dealt with previously. I drove back to their restaurant demanding that they correct this! Do they not know that cooking food in old dirty oil is a health hazard??!
