I so wanted to love this place but it was a huge let down. Last Monday, I ordered to Bywater Bene and was served the tiniest two poached eggs I have ever seen on top of some flattened French bread that was like leather and almost impossible to cut. And it was topped with the blandest hollandaise sauce imaginable. Staff was extremely friendly and prompt but unfortunately the food quality was lacking. The bartender and server were super friendly the morning we came in. My boyfriend got "Da Cajun Scramble" and I got "Maw-Maw's Garden Casserole". We both loved our meals. His eggs were perfectly cooked. The casserole was full of veggies and amazingly cheesy. The real star though were those breakfast potatoes.... Who told these folks to slay the catfish like that?! First and foremost; they do not skimp. Hooked me up with a huge ass piece of perfectly crispy and wonderfully seasoned catfish. The hollandaise sauce was on point. It was like a partay in my mouth. So, soooo good. The poinsettia cocktail was like 3 cocktails in one. Do you see how big that plastic red cup is?! And yes I drank it ALL! I'm glad I wasn't driving. I just loved everything about this place. Wished that I could have spent more time here.
