Catfish over cheesy grits smothered in crawfish étouffée

I used to live in this neighborhood back in the day and am ecstatic to see them still in business and thriving! ALWAYS ASK FOR THE SPECIAL! Today's was a catfish fillet over the cheesiest of grits smothered in crawfish étouffée - a very large portion, filling, and delicious. The service was warn, welcoming, and quick. It's a great spot for a quick bite with friends - very bright and cheery inside!

Food is so good, you'll be doing the happy dance in your seat!! service is excellent, atmosphere is very relaxing. You could probably spend an easy 2 hours there just chilling with coffee and a book after breakfast

My friends and I stopped by Who Dat after our Sunday yoga class and we were impressed! It's a cute little cafe on the corner with indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter Humsa (probably spelling that wrong) was AMAZING! He was so nice and helpful. He let me know about their secret menu biscuit which was delicious! The coffee was yummy too. We will be back!

Despite the fact that most of the things on the menu were not gluten-free, I was able to have a lovely egg and vegetable frittata with potatoes. The highlight for me was the kitty lDolly Farton, right outside the window next to my table. The staff is also very nice.

Who Dat! Cafe is one of the best casual breakfast spots in the city!! The atmosphere is very nostalgic as there are a lot of interesting art pieces which fit the aesthetic of the place very well. The food was excellent I had the breakfast sandwich which is was hot, tasty, and not salty at all. The biscuit was crunchy, the cheese was melty, and the sausage was flavorful and cooked throughly. Our server was really nice and got us in and out so I will definitely come back and you should come and give it a shot as well!

Who Dat! WE DAT! This spot had stylish and colorful decor that immediately set the vibe. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome that made me feel right at home. To top it off, I even received a complimentary sausage & biscuit--an unexpected treat because it was made by mistake, and they didn't want it to go to waste. The food was on point, the dessert hit the spot, and the drinks were just as good. Great meals, sweet treats, and refreshing drinks all in one place--you can't beat that!

I can't believe this is the first time I've been to this cafe! My friend loves it here and suggested it when we got together for a lunch. Such an adorable spot with cute decor and spacing. There are so many options for food and for drinks! There are super yummy spiked coffees which is a huge plus for me! I got the Green Eyed girl and it was absolutely worth it! They are known for their corn cakes so I had to give it a try! Another great dish. Service: Great service! We came on a weekday during the day so we were seated right away. But I heard it can get very busy on the weekends! Drinks: The specialty drinks are a must try! Don't get your traditional drinks, try something new! Parking: Street parking. Pets: Definitely welcomed! This is a local spot and they know a lot of dogs by name!

Can't wait to come back already!! Very welcoming staff, inclusive ambiance, and delicious food. Prices are fair and they have a different selection of daily specials everyday. That crawfish omelette was phenomenal... Street parking only and a great brunch option post yoga workout (iykyk). They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Come give them a try, you won't regret it.

Most adorable place with fantastic food! Ask for Gary for your server. He has great recos and ensures everything is up to expectations!

Catfish over cheese grits with crawfish étouffée. On special.

Great little spot on the corner. Friendly staff. Food was amazing! Iced lattes were nice and strong.

Was not super impressed here. Counter person wasn't very friendly and gave us paper bags instead of plates to eat our bagels on. All tables had reserved signs and we had to ask whether we could sit there. Coffee was bitter.

I've been a long time customer of da Café! Honestly, it's one of the best in the city. The food is amazing, the service staff always put their best foot forward and make me feel so welcome, and their decor make the experience feel so inviting and local. It's a true New Orleans dining experience. I'd put it on par with some of the other larger, more well-known restaurants in terms of food quality and service.

However, I know wait times can be out the door so plan accordingly. We were dropped off by Uber, but in terms of parking, it's mainly street parking. Overall, the shop is pretty small. They have a handful of tables outside and more seating inside but it's not huge -- hence the longer lines. It's also quite eclectic with serving on plastic McDonald's plates and the music that was playing. We ordered: The ham sandwich, wedge salad, and a delicious pickle cocktail The ham sandwich had excellent flavor! I wish it had a but more ham on it, but overall the flavor was 10/10! The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.

The Poboy here is to die for!…read more Honestly I was a bit intimidated walking through here alone, going past a rowdy crowd of mainly older white Gen X men to end up in this hole of a wall to order through an even smaller hole in the wall service booth. The ordering experience was a bit gruff and rough around the edges, but from then on, everything went right. First, you can hang out in the bar area at Erin Rose (I swear the crowd was friendlier than they looked) and eat there if there's space. I highly recommend their Paradise Peach, which seems to be from a local brewery. The bright, peach flavor of the lager does well to wash down the sandwich in the summer heat. I went with an order of the Braised Beef Debris Poboy and this is hands down not just the best Poboy I've ever had in my life, but the best beef or steak any sandwich I've ever had in my life! I wolfed it down so quickly and have to say the pickled green bean and banana peppers with that spike of horseradish sauce really sent this Poboy soaring! The braised beef was absolutely perfect and tender, amazingly so! I can get a bit picky about beef because I hate it when it's tough or gristly or has too much fatty parts that won't melt down, but I didn't have a problem with any of that. I'm no butcher, but seemed like they used a good part of the beef of what's already a fairly quality cow (Louisiana Wagyu Beef I recall reading) or maybe it was the whole braising process, but I wish I could have this for days! I'm going to be sad going back to Houston and not being able to eat this, but hopefully it'll still be around and just as amazing next time I'm back in town.

After a couple of beers, we noticed the little po'boy counter tucked in the back and figured we'd give it a shot. Best decision of the day. The sandwich was packed with flavor, served fresh, and exactly what you want after spending some time at a great New Orleans dive bar. I love finding places like this, no hype, no gimmicks, just really good food hidden where you'd least expect it. If you're grabbing a drink at Erin Rose, do yourself a favor and don't leave without ordering a po'boy. You'll thank yourself later.

Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go.
