Food: The people I was with ordered the lamb chops, steak frittes, chicken salad dish, roasted chicken, and a different sandwich dish and we all loved it!! Services: The place is an intimate restaurant, so I highly recommend making a reservation. But despite the close quarters, every person that worked there was so kind and helpful! I think this could have been amazing, but it ended up being a disappointment. I got the Nutella crepe, and it would have been balanced with a little cream. Unfortunately, when they packed everything, they put two containers of whipped cream inside of the box on top of the hot crepe. Then they sealed the box in a plastic bag. Popped in for a late breakfast when the place around the corner had a 70 minute wait. We were immediately sat at 12pm and were pleasantly surprised how quick and delicious everything was. The French dip melted in my mouth. Tender roast beef, stretchy cheese, and deep flavorful jus means I'll have a hard time going back to any other French dip ever again. Oh, and the bread! Crispy, delicious, and fresh from an acclaimed local bakery, Ayu Bakehouse. Don't skip the coffee either. Some of the best espresso I've had in the city. Ambience was perfect for a lovely, intimate Friday night date with my fiancé, and our server Ji was really kind. Our only issue with our experience there is that the YouTube holiday playlist they had on was pretty clearly some AI slop -- just mangled versions of Frank Sinatra holiday classics. I had walked by the restaurant many times and wanted to try while we were visiting, and we were not disappointed. There were 9 of us, and they gave us the back room. They took great care to tell us what the best dishes or recommendations since it was our first time. The accommodations were amazing and the took such great care of us. Everyone had something different: the Salmon was amazing, french dip amazing, crepes amazing, it was all so tasty and delicious. The owner even came back to check on us. I highly recommend if you are visiting this is a must visit or if you're a local I am sure it will become a favorite. read more

We did not feel comfortable when they tried to squeeze us into a super small corner in the back (two super small tables cobbled together - definitely not enough room for our party of 5) even though there was a larger table in the front and we had a reservation. I was a little disappointed that there was a party of 6 or 7 (at a much larger table that sat 8) had just paid and was about to leave, but the staff didn't offer that table, with a "would you mind waiting a few minutes" comment. I was super excited about trying this place out, but it wasn't meant to be. This place had reservations available last minute on a Saturday night in the French quarter during jazz fest so we went. And it was such a pleasant surprise! It's tiny but efficient with sweet smiley wait staff and a straightforward "accessible" French menu. Bonus: full bar! We ordered Negronis while waiting (not very long) for our starter salad (so fresh and dressed just right), steak fritte and grilled salmon. The steak was ribeye cooked to perfection and came with a light flavorful au jus; shoestring fries were excellent. The salmon and mashies went down smoove. The kitchen was closing but they made us a banana crepe anyway and we also ordered the chocolate mousse cake that was insanely delicious. My only criticism was that the espresso and tea was delivered and drunk before dessert was served. We loved it so much I dreamed about it all night and returned for dinner again the next night. We felt so lucky to find this place before it gets discovered and is no longer easy to get a rezzy. Btw second night we had a monte cristo and croque madame, and once again we were very impressed. The proprietress came around to all tables and was so welcoming. We will definitely be back next time we hit NOLA (and won't be surprised if they've moved to a bigger location by then)! read more

We were on our way to eat elsewhere in the French Quarter, when we ran into friends who had just eaten at Izzat. After they raved about it, we decided to change our plans and eat there instead. Wow!! The food was fantastic! I loved their healthier, tastier take on the monte cristo sandwich and the salad.
