Pulled pork plate with coleslaw, potato salad

I love their pulled pork sandwich. Coleslaw is good, but I wish they made it with mayonnaise. Extremely fast and friendly service.

AMAZING brisket, we loved it all. The Mac and cheese was outstanding. we are going back before we leave town.

    Beef Brisket Plate

Had the beef brisket plate and the beef brisket/sausage combo plate. Sides were baked beans, cucumber salad & macaroni and cheese. Each plate came with a roll. Food was fresh and relatively quick during a late lunch. The meet was delicious and tender. The baked beans were okay as was the Mac and cheese. Chill atmosphere. Would return if I lived in the area.

Excellent lunch! We shared the half rack of ribs, ordered two sides of cole slaw and a couple of glasses of the brewed iced tea. No sauce needed but we did try them all :)

Parking is limited, so the free parking attracted us. We checked reviews online, and the majority were excellent. As we entered, the heavenly smell wafted through the place. That clinched the deal. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and efficient. When he asked if we wanted to go cups or glasses for our drinks, we opted for to go cups. The drink machine was in the dining area, and refills were complimentary. We also got our sandwiches with the Coleslaw to the side, not on the meat, in the bun. By the time we got our drinks, and found a place to park our butts, we got our sandwiches. Husband had the pulled pork and I had the pulled chicken. Both were moist and tasty - even without sauce. Husband said the beans were spicy. They had a kick. The coleslaw was dry, sweet, and very good. We had 6 sauces from which to choose - our favorites were the sweet ones - #1 and #5. We savored every delicious bite. I ate half of mine without the bun, to get the full chicken flavor. It was pleasant eating inside. Frank Sinatra serenaded us over the sound system. Other diners were in our area, & we were all spread out. Note: If you are looking for a job, they're hiring as of 5/26/21. But you wouldn't know they were short staffed. Service was exceptional! And so was the food!

Super friendly people and nice ambiance and most importantly very good food!!! A little pricey but totally worth it so I don't think it matters. A lot of sauce choices and all good!!!

You step up to the counter and place your order from the big board on the right. There are a variety of sandwiches and sides. You can buy the meats by the pound too. We each chose a brisket sandwich. One with the tastiest potato salad that I have ever had, except my own. The other was a great juicy coleslaw. We ordered a side of cucumber salad with red onion and a tangy dressing. We took our table to be served. Each table has a 6 pack of BBQ sauces to meet your own pallet. We like the thick molasses spicy #5 the best. They also had a volcano sauce, but we were chicken! You get your own soft drinks in the room on the other side, but can order a bottled beer out of the tall refrigerator. Manuel, is the cook, and he did a great job. The sandwiches were stacked with tons of meat. Z was the young helper gal who took our order. Everyone was very pleasant. We will be back. We can see why they won all those national competitions with their wonder meats. Lots of trophies on display! They know how to BBQ!

My iced latte was also divine. They had some really good looking desserts too but I didn't leave room for those. This was definitely one of my favorite lunch places in Santa Fe. Sooo good!!

This is a great place to stop for lunch, a snack, or an iced coffee or matcha latte on a hot day…read more It was also recommended to us by a local working at another shop in town. There is plenty of seating in the room next door, and it appears they may be expanding that room. In the main room, you walk up to the counter and order, then your food is brought out to you. We got sandwiches and bowls and the food was great. Fresh and healthy. I also got some kind of maple cream cold brew; I did have to ask for more maple flavor because I wanted my drink a bit sweeter, and the barista graciously added it without charging extra. They seemed to have interesting pastries and bagels, and the shop is also a market with fancy snacks and other provisions. I was tempted to take home a unique chocolate bar or jam, or something savory like a wacky bag of popcorn, but we were maxed out on snacks at our Airbnb, so I refrained. They had a wide selection of this kind of stuff. All in all, it was the perfect spot to grab lunch in the late afternoon while cruising around the Plaza on a hot day. The service was friendly, and so were the other customers!

If you're in Santa Fe and not ordering the tamale plate at Tres Colores, you're doing it wrong…read more This dish is the definition of New Mexico done right--two perfectly steamed tamales, one smothered in rich red chile and the other in savory green chile. The red has that deep, earthy flavor with just the right kick, while the green brings a brighter, roasted heat that balances everything out. Together? That classic "Christmas style" combo that hits on every level. The masa was soft and flavorful (not dry like you get at some places), and the filling was generous and well-seasoned. The sides sealed the deal--fluffy Spanish rice, hearty beans, and a fresh, crisp salad that cut through the richness perfectly. Portion size was solid, presentation was clean, and everything tasted like it was made with care--not rushed, not watered down for tourists. Service was quick, friendly, and exactly what you want when you're trying to keep a night moving. Authentic, satisfying, and exactly what you hope for when you come to Santa Fe. And the stuffed phyllo with a side of fufu. Which was delicious. The fufu I mean. I shaped chunks of it like a spoon and used it to scoop up the stews. Not a novel idea, by the way. For a drink I had the fresh tamarind which was lightly sweetened and refreshing. The lamb was mild and benefited from a touch of salt, according to my companion. The beberé was sweetened by the sweet potato and probably my favorite of the three. The phyllo was exceptionally good! The table hot sauce has a chili and vinegar kick but is not particularly spicy. Service was great as well.

Hmmm...food was not as impressive as the first time. This…read morewas our second time at Sazon--my partner brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner. The atmosphere is upscale and beautiful--love the decor and artwork. The service was on point; our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food this time was just ok, except for the Sopa de Amor: Chef Olea's signature soup--that was heaven in our mouths. The steak (Popocatepetl: spicy black pepper crusted aged angus beef tenderloin / red cabbage and snow peas in cilantro vinaigrette / jasmine rice) we shared looked nothing like the description. Either our server was clueless regarding gluten-free, because this wasn't up to our standards for a high-end restaurant--the flavor wasn't the same as we remembered from several years ago, and the steak (medium rare) inside was colder--not room temperature, so I ended up not eating all of mine. Plus we had to ask for rice--which should have come with our meal since there isn't flour or any ingredients that would have made this harmful to me. Also, the side of asparagus it came with wasn't bright green and crispy--it was yellowish and flimsy-looking and tasting. For the price, this should have been more on point than what it was. We had split a steak, shared a soup, had a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne, and a dessert--oh, and a $12 split change (something they suggested--even though my partner and I were fine eating from the same plate)...the bill was almost $400 with tax & tip. The dessert however, was presented beautifully with mixed berries and a liquor which was then lit on fire--a festive dessert option since I have a gluten allergy. There are so many wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately, the food did not leave us craving to come back for more. If the service and decor wasn't so impressive, Sazon would have received one stars.
