I was next door getting some of my asian veggies and decided to try this place. Boba was good as you have the option to choose the sweetness of your tea. Service was excellent. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The place is minimalistic. No place to seat although there is room to put some chairs. Donuts look good but I didn't try them. 2 hour street parking. Give this place a try.

Great service! First time studying here and it was just amazing. Ate delicious fried buldak with my own toppings. So far my favorite study spot, was able to get WiFi, water, and worker offered to bring out cable extensions if needed. Plus they even have games which you can play when you need a break!

I live in the East Bay and I ldrove here for their Taro Milk Boba. It is delicious!! There's a few reasons I drive here for Boba when there's literally Boba everywhere. It's delicious, it's a cool shop that has a bunch of awesome Anime swag and they have Majong! No idea how to play but I want to learn. I have also become pretty friendly with one of the owners because he is such a great guy. And it reflects in his staff! They are all competent, friendly and this is one of the few places that asks what you want your sugar and ice level at. I get both at 25%. WHY NOT BOBA is my forever Boba spot.

Vegetarian - classic mozzarella Korean hotdog. $6.50. Would order again.

*** Vegetarian Review *** This replaced another boba shop and so I was a little skeptical at first. Great, another boba shop. But although I can't comment on their boba, they do offer a vegetarian snack worthy of mention. The easiest way to win me over is offer a vegetarian Korean style "hotdog." It's not made of a plant-based alternative which would upgrade this to a 5-star. It was mozzarella cheese, batter-dipped, panko-entrusted fried corn dog (they call this classic-style). I took it to go so didn't dig in right away. But, 15 minutes later, it was still crispy and the mozzarella was still warm and stretchy. Not oily. Enjoyed the overall flavor profile - similar to a beer batter. Bottom line - service was friendly. They have a vegetarian option so you don't have to be left out of the snack party. With plenty of street parking, I'm sure everyone will not only be asking "why not boba?" but also "why not a motz dog?" I added a photo of how to order this item. Next time, I will definitely ask for the ramen entrusted for an additional dollar.

    Strawberry Lemon Slushy with Boba

The first thing we noticed when walking into the store was that it had a nice and playful ambiance. The store was very bright and colorful with a cute layout to pick up your drinks. We got the strawberry lemon slushy with boba. The boba was a good texture, very soft on the inside and chewy on the outside. However, the drink was a bit disappointing and hard to finish. Although we ordered less sweet, we found the drink quite unbearable. The lemon flavor dominated the strawberry flavor as well.

Awesome new spot! The space is open, bright, and clean. The service was great! Our cashier was very helpful and personable. They are a new business and getting the hang of things, so please be patient! The cashier even offered to give us free mochi donuts while we waited. The drinks were yummy! We got the matcha strawberry latte with boba and the honey lemon green tea with lychee jelly. Both drinks were fresh and good! Gotta come back to try the food:) Overall, great new addition to the Davis community!

Super aesthetically pleasing place, it is very spacious and minimalist. Got a free mochi donut with a boba purchase--I highly recommend the honeydew flavor. Boba is not bad!

New boba place in Davis! Tried with a couple of friends after having dinner so we didn't get to try their food items yet, they look good though! I got the hot taro milk tea and it tasted like taro and kept me warm on our walk back to the car. The shop has an open layout and they sell anime stickers, buttons, keychains and other items. I bought a set of One Piece sticker and my nephew loved it! The employees were super nice but it did take a while before we got our orders which was fine because it gave us time to look at the anime items they had. This place is perfect for pick up and go or if you like to stand in a circle and talk with your friends!

Nice and welcoming place. The service was a 10/10 and I love the clean look. They just opened about a month ago. We were greeted with free stickers and got to sample a mochi donut. We got the strawberry milk tea and mango green tea. Both drinks are super good. Mango green tea had a stronger tea flavor than the milk tea, but really delicious. Strawberry milk tea was a nice sweet drink! Highly recommend this place if you're in davis. They also have korean corndogs. Haven't tried them but they look fire!!

The cashier is so attentive and nice to us. He explained everything on the menu for us. Really good boba and the corndog prolly the biggest one I've ever had lolll. It's loaded with mozzarella and sausages. SOOO GOOOOD!!!! They also have dipping dots with bunch of flavors!!!! it reminds me of the good old time at the amusement park heheh! 10/10! Definitely will come back since its very unique compared to other boba shops around Davis

I wasn't prepared for the chilly day in Davis. I changed my outfit several times before we left the…read morehouse. The weather report said 65 degrees and overcast today. I went from a thin top to a medium weight sweater. We arrived in Davis I grabbed my jacket to pair with my sweater. Today was a day spent exploring Davis to see the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA). What a great Conference. We come each year for this Conference and explore Davis every time we are here. After exploring the first building of the show it was coming on time to eat. We looked around the current shopping center and my husband didn't see anything he was craving. He said we'll go more into town and look for a noodle place. He said he remembered one from our last visit, down one of the alleys. Walking up the street we saw a couple of advertisements. A sandwich board was on the sidewalk for Davis Noodle CIty, the exact place we were looking for. The little Noodle Shop in the alley. We weaved through the other businesses, past the dumpling restaurant, past the outdoor seating and to the front door of the Davis Noodle City Restaurant. The out door seating looked really welcoming, but it was chilly out so we opted for eating inside with the other table that was occupied. There were 3 parties eating outside when we arrived. When we walked inside we were greeted and told to take any table. We choose a table in the corner. The menus were under the glass table top, keeping it clean and easy to read. Each place setting had its own copy of the menu. After looking at the menu, remembering what was offered on the sandwich board in front, and cross referencing it with Yelp Reviews we started ordering. We opted for the Five Spice Beef Noodles, and I asked if that was a good option and she said it was their top seller. The Yelp Reviews were only ok for that dish, but I took our chances. The second dish we ordered was the Dan Dan Noodles She tried to upscale us to the one with vegetables, but that dish was a cold dish so we when for the standard Dan Dan Noodles. Both dishes came out quickly. The Dan Dan noodles were not spicy as I anticipated, which was good, I wasn't really looking for spicy. I liked the flavor and realized that if you mixed it up there is a sauce on the bottom that is really tasty. Dan Dan Noodles ($8.25 a steal) is a solid dish and I highly reccomend it. It's a great bowlful of noodles. If you are hopping for other ingredients you are out of luck, it's 100% noodles with a sprinkling of peanuts on top and a sauce on the bottom. The Five Spice Beef Noodle Soup ($12.75)was as described in the reviews. It comes with American Broccoli and carrots. The beef is so good it melts in your mouth. The broth is minimal and lacked flavor. I'd think that it's advertised as Five Spice that it would have more flavor. I don't reccomend it if you are looking for a strong flavor. If you are looking for great meat, that melts in your mouth, but is also a little fatty then you have the perfect dish. Both dishes came with fresh noodles, none of those dried and rehydrated noodles that some places serve. The noodles on both dishes were different and pleasant. I highly reccomend their fresh noodles. Customer service was good. She came to check up on us and was pleasant. Parking is street parking. And they have a bathroom on site that is clean and well stocked.

I'm a huge fan of the chicken mustard green soup (which is good as vegan too) and dumplings are bomb. But the "coop-de-gracie" thick noodles including the ones in the soups are the perfect blend of the size of a big udon noodle but more "meaty" like a pasta noodle. Final detail, often overlooked, the soup comes out scaldingly hot. I like a soup to come to table that opens your facial pores, forces you to come to grips with your self discipline of patience versus a blanched tongue. So yes I think the food is solid.

Yang Kee Dumpling is located in a small strip mall, equipped with plenty of parking, and EV chargers. When arrived it wasn't too busy, and the hostess showed me to my table. In front of my table was where the staff was making dumplings (they were behind glass). After looking at the menu, I opted to get some traditional soup dumplings, bbq pork fried rice, and pineapple bao buns for dessert. My server was Bing and she was nice and efficient. She came back to check on me a few times throughout my dining experience. My fried rice came out first. It was a LARGE serving of fried rice, it of course had eggs, carrots, peas, and BBQ pork. It was flavorful. Next came out the soup dumplings. They were brought out in a steamer basket with a top to keep them warm. These were amazing. The light and delicate dough, mixed with the savory pork filling, and the salty broth was perfection. Next came out my pineapple bao buns. To be honest, I wasn't sure how I was going to like them. To my surprise these may have been the star of the show. The dough was light and sweet, the top was carmelized and sweet, and the custard inside reminded me of a Dole Whip from disney (exept it wasn't cold, it was warm). These were pretty large and I'm semi embarrassed to admint I had 2 3/4 bao buns myself. Go here. It's delicious.

It's Asian-fusion so some of the combos were interesting (miso-mushroom burger) and sounded intriguing (Birria ramen). I went with the Birria Fried Rice and she got the cucumber salad and chicken wings. Her food came out well before mine so that was kind of annoying. But she said she didn't mind if her wings were hot and the salad was already cold. It was 10 more minutes before my meal and out. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. The fried egg on top was a bonus! The meat was cooked very well - tender and flavorful. The rice was a little more saucy than I would have preferred, but still yummy. I ended up taking home 2/3 of it. I love when I have lunch the next day!! The free Photo Booth was a great addition! We chose the table because the booths looked uncomfortable. Another couple of diners came to eat while we were there. I had the Yellow Curry. I added chicken for an additional $3 because the basic dish was just sauce with potato and carrot. Most other restaurants include a protein in the price. The dish itself was just OK, it was a bit too sweet, I guess from the coconut milk. The portion size was good, I'll get an additional meal from the leftovers. My friend had the Pad Kee Mow and she graded it "A". Perhaps I made the wrong choice or am more finicky about my food. After eating the waiter came by holding a tablet saying he could take payment. He didn't show us the totals, just said we could give him our credit cards. We did so and we each asked for a printed receipt. When I got my receipt I saw there were two totals, one for cash and the other for credit (worked out to be a 3% fee.) That was never mentioned, neither by the waiter nor by the menu. I usually pay by cash but when the waiter said he'd take our cards, I assumed that was the preferred payment method.

My kid mentioned they usually are very pack and people would dine outdoor, but I guess we arrived early so there wasn't any wait time. Ordered few items, food came out very fast and the tastes are not bad at all. Beef Fried Rice Noodles: How do you differentiate if this dish is good or not, it is about how much excessive oil that's left on the plate. The stir fried was good, not too greasy, and they marinate the meat well. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, this place's meat was good. Only they could stir fried with even higher eat to create more "wok air" Sticky Rice Stick with Brown Sugar: First time trying this dish, so not sure what to expect. But it does seem to be a dessert to me, my comment would be higher if the rice stick is more chewy. Hot & Sour Shredded Potato: This is common dish from northern part of China. The way they prepared was awesome. The potato was not starchy and the seasoning is just right. A bit greasy but this is actually my favorite dish! Shrimp and Pork with Chives Dumplings: Meat is fresh and dumpling wrap is great too. Each dumpling size is not too big and wasn't torn. Taste is okay but maybe try another filling if I visit again. I would come again to try out other things on the menu if I'm visiting my kid again.

We walked in and weren't sure if we sat ourselves or not. A server came out and showed us to a table with menus after a minute. It did take a little while for her to come back and take our order. We each ordered an XL bowl of phở ($18). I got the flank steak (tái) and she got the vegetarian (chay). The phở was delicious! The ratio of meat to noodles was appropriate. The add-ins (beansprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño slices) were the perfect amount for 2 bowls. We didn't eat the jalapeños, but we didn't leave anything else on the plate. I hate wasting food. I read that the service here is what is lacking. Our server came by twice to check on us, but didn't refill our glasses until I asked. She was the only one working the floor while we were there.
