Well, this was the best poke place but as I've sadly learned it's only good/worth it if one the younger, male employees makes your bowl. I've been in around a dozen times and been helped by a variety of the young men that work there and every time the bowls are fantastic. However, I've gone in twice now where the women who I believe is owner made my bowl and I was extremely disappointed. It was so small I couldn't believe it, the way she makes them isn't worth the price you're paying. I'm not sure I'll be returning because I can't trust I'll receive the amazing bowls I was before. :( read more

Like another review said, there is definitely room to grow. I live in Long Beach and there are poke plAces everywhere! I've had my fair share of poke since i became obsessed with it. Here's a few: yoshino, north shore, lowkey poke, poke bar, etc. My go-to poke place is poke bar in Long Beach. Seriously the BEST. I came about a month ago I believe after seeing that another poke spot opened up in Oceanside. I believe I spoke to the owner about other poke places I went to and how I liked them. The guy that helped me didn't seem to really know much about poke. He told me that he never had it until he started working there. I ordered the regular bowl with half brown and half white rice. Got double scoop salmon and 1 scoop of tuna. The scoops were pretty small though. I don't remember, but I don't think the guy helping me mixed the fish with the sauces. Instead he put it on top? Anyways the bowl wasnt bad but not the BEST that I've had. Maybe I'll stop by in a few months! read more

Friendly and very welcoming customer service! :) Their poke is fresh, and the regular size is even enough to make you feel content. I love how they were giving free miso soup for their winter special. Very clean inside, but wish this location wasn't so hidden! Used to be my go to spot but the scoops get more and more stingy each time I go in. 5 scoops sounds like a lot until the guys are told to basically ensure it's the smallest scoop. Pokewan in the village does 4 scoops and they are MUCH heftier and better quality fish. I've made a suggestion multiple times and this is just the owner penny pinching. They charge for everything but skimp on it. Won't be returning until they start actually giving 5 scoops. Huge bowl they give you for no damn reason read more

A hidden gem in the middle of Big Anchor stores in Neighborhood Center. Everything looks fresh and they have excellent sauce and variety of choices. Friendly Customer Service and well maintained. I was not big fan of raw fish or Poke bowl until I tried Wicked Poke's Delicious Bowl. It's simply delicious. Also was pretty Generous portion and we will coming back. read more

Two years later, I'm still in love with this place. I've gone to a couple of local poke places, and in my opinion, they still do not compare. I enjoy the fresh sushi and I love the spice in their spicy crab and spicy mayo. Still miss their mango habanero chutney. read more

This place is in the shopping center a few doors down from toys r us. I went on a rainy day when they had a special. I received a hot miso soup for free with my purchase! The staff here is great! I could really tell they are passionate about the food they are presenting to the community. At first I was disappointed because they didn't have albacore. However, I was too lazy to hop in my car and find a new restaurant lol. So I settled on the tuna and spice tuna. They had the typical topping that are at the other poke restaurants. What was different was the miso sauce they recommended. It was described as a sweet Saudi that goes on top of the spicy sauce that was already on my meal. I was very skeptical about putting any kind of sweet sauce on my meal. Then I thought what the hell I'll try it! I'm so glad it did. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wicked Poke as I was headed to a different shop in the area. This is a fantastic addition to Oceanside. We are starting to see more ramen and sushi shops in the area and Wicked Poke just adds to our choices. As a poke place the selection was spot on (make sure to try the mango topping), but more importantly for me, the customer service was everything it should be. i will definitely be back as poke has fast become one of my favorite dishes. read more

I frequent this place quite a bit because it is one of my favorite poke places! But now I'm not so sure anymore. The gentleman that helped me and my boyfriend didn't seem to listen when we placed our orders. He put onions on my bowl which i didnt even remotely ask for. Drenched my poke in the house sauce and now it is way to runny and salty. They also don't serve pineapple anymore and the reason why i loved this place so much is because of the pineapple (it really refreshes the bowl). Normally they're good, before covid, this was my go to.... not anymore. After finding out they're open, bought two poke bowls, one for my boyfriend and one for me. I'm unhappy and we will never come back after today. The unfriendly counter people,I thought I could pass, the $30 I paid for both meals...then comes the disappointment of having mushy awful rice. I thought that I could eat it all without feeling a sense of disappointment... your green onions are not washed, you can taste it, the rice was like rice pudding, over sauced even though I said a little bit, the shrimp felt like they didn't cook it so it still had a bit of that texture when shrimp is not cooked...I have been a chef for over 17 years and this is pathetic... sometimes I don't want to cook cause of the California heat wave...and this was not something I'd pay for again. Came here during my lunch hour, great place , was impressed with how fresh and clean everything was . I had the regular poke bowl with spicy tuna , salmon and tuna with all the fix-ins! They offered me the seaweed salad and I declined but gave me a sample of it, WOW I should of ordered it also, will definitely order the seaweed salad. The owner goes out of his way to greet you and make us feel welcome, a definite plus in my book. Today was my first time at Wicked Poke! I ordered a large bowl with the following.... 3 scoops of salmon, 2 scoops of ahi. I did not get a base as I am eating low carb right now and didn't feel like lettuce. I got two scoops of crab, one scoop of avocado, white and green onions, cucumbers, edamame, seaweed salad and jalapeños with the mild spicy house sauce and some spicy mayo. The quality of the fish was good and the toppings were fresh. I did read a sign that they are now using better biodegradable containers, which is cool. However, I didn't like that I got the feeling I was eating out of a to go container. The floppy lid kind of bugged me, especially since the tables were kind of small and it made me feel cramped in an already small space. Next time if the weather is better, I will eat outside. I would give zero stars for the service we received on 5/19 at 4:30. We loved this place but have now been so turned off. The lady who helped us was very rude. No greeting when we got in and no thank you when we left. My husband also turned the kiosk around after paying as a nice gesture and she snapped at him and told him not to do that. more of her bad attitude: She asked my husband what kind of sauce he wanted and he couldn't hear her and started ordering toppings and she raised her voice and said "what kind of sauce do you want?!" My experience here made me solidify my love for Poki Poki! I asked for only a little white rice and it was as if I asked for extra, extra white rice. Then I selected my proteins. I asked for spicy mayo. They were a bit lost when it came to the toppings. I wanted more than 2 scoops of edamame and the dude looked as if I had just asked him about quantum physics! He didn't know what to do!! I said I'll pay extra, it's okay. He was just lost from that point on! Oh man, what a task to just order pokè!! I should have known. I came here because it's about $10 for 5 scoops of protein, where as Poki poki its $12 for 4 scoops, but I get as many toppings as I want. When we finally tried our food, it was sooooo dry and super sweet!! The rice was the majority of my bowl and was sooooo grossly sweet and dry. The fish was okay, but I had to add to it at home due to the lack of flavor. Ugh. Bad experience. read more

I LOVED this poke shop. While in Oceanside for the day my sister and I knew there would be an amazing variety of healthy fresh fish places so we went with poke. She got the small bases with rice and I got the medium over lettuce. The fish was fresh and tender and well seasoned. There were a variety of options to add to your poke like avocado, jalapeños, onions, ginger, seaweed etc.! There were so many options and everything was above average. Wiked Poke is one of the BEST POKE place in Southern California! 10/10 recommended! Every workers are so warm and welcoming and every proteins are fresh. Wiked is one of few where everything is so fresh and fills up to top of the bowl! Regular is 3 protein and Large is 5, and Im yet a bit afraid to try large tet cuz regular is enough for me to fill me up. I went and tried this spot on the way home from a convention in LA. Working down in Kearney Mesa area I have a lot of poke spots available and am excited to see these heading north. This spot was amazing and delicious. The workers were extremely helpful and friendly and were excited to have me there for the first time. The fish tasted extremely fresh and the spicy poke sauce was delicious. The ingredients are all included in the price, so 8 was able to go "nuts" with the toppings. They even included a special seasonal sauce with my order so I could try it. I got the large bowl and it was a great price with a LOT of food.
