I stopped by this location to get a juice and realized there's a new business had opened up where the previous juice shop was. It looks like PokePort has made a home in Oceanside! PokePort Oceanside offers customizable poke bowls, allowing customers to choose their base (sushi rice, brown rice, or mixed greens), a protein (such as albacore, salmon, ahi or tofu), dressing (like wasabi or spicy aioli), mix-ins (like sweet onions, mango or tempura flakes), and sides (including avocado, kimchi or seaweed salad). Each bowl is priced at around $18, with options to add extra protein or additional mix-ins and sides for an additional cost. This chain also has locations in Wildomar, Murrieta and Temecula as well. I hear that they are a family-owned and this is good news. I was greeted by the friendly staff as I entered. I observed a few customers come in and order food TO-GO. The interior is very simple and direct, with not a lot of decor or anything that stands out to enhance ambiance. Although it appears spacious, there's also very limited seating available. So, it's a great place for lunch, solo dining and maybe a date, but not great for large groups of people. I watched a few orders be prepared and the process is quick and cordial. I ordered a simple tiger milk boba drink, but requested coffee be added and they were willing to accommodate my request and I appreciated that. I had already eaten, but I decided to get a customized poke bowl and I loved it! I look forward to returning to try their Korean Bbq Beef Plate. Overall, I feel that PokePort Oceanside is a great hidden gem in a corner of Oceanside that often gets overlooked, even though it's right next to the 76 highway. read more

Pokeport is located off Frazee off the 76 Highway. Parking lot is interesting as it has so many 20 min spaces but there's multiple places nearby but anyhoo. Pokeport is a humble little restaurant with a noticeable smell upon entering, though it becomes less noticeable over time. It's extremely clean and offers both a public and secret menu. Secret menu is on the door. I ordered the small poke bowl with two protein selections (i ordered scallops and spicy tuna). They offer a wide array of proteins, sauces, toppings, and other add-ons. With the many toppings they provide, they easily could have charged extra, so I really appreciated that they didn't (please continue to not charge extra :) i split my rice and salad which was tasty later on as the dish was able to absorb all the sauces of my selection. Service was great and they have coke products which is always a plus for me. If you create a review on google or yelp you get a free spin which has a variety of offerings such as a free boba drink or a fountain drink which is nice. Large portions compared to other poké restaurants. Even their small bowl is very closely similar to the large bowl at Poki Poki. Pricing is also competitve. The toppings and protein (fish) were all fresh. The only downside was that I couldn't really taste any of the sauce (goma ponzu).
