This review is based solely on the pier staff. The restaurant itself was good. We enjoyed the live music (he was amazing), the food was good, and the service was good. I would suggest having the music start a little later than 4:30 so dinner guest can enjoy it. We had sushi (really good), grouper bites (just ok), and lobster and shrimp with risotto (good). If we had not had the bad experience downstairs would have been 4/5 stars. Ok the bad. My daughter wanted to play in the arcade and buy gifts in the shop under the restaurant. My husband (a veteran) asked if they had a veterans discount. The man at the counter stated "Veterans don't need discounts." My husband asked have you served he said no. Never has my husband felt so disrespected in front of my daughter. Apparently this place is ANTI MILITARY. Keep that in mind before you spend money here. Stopped in for dinner on our first night in Myrtle Beach. It was busy, but we were seated promptly. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. The food came out pretty quickly. We had a small issue with our drink order and she took care of it immediately. The view can't really be beat. You're right on the beach and you have panoramic views of the pier and the ocean. The food was quite good. We had several sushi rolls. Everyone enjoyed them. They have a bunch of more exotic sushi options, but we stuck with just the basic rolls. Our table had several burgers, crab cakes, and a fried seafood platter. Everyone that had a burger said it was really good. The fried seafood platter was one of the best I've had. The fish was good. The crab cake was small (size of a slider) but tasty. And then a generous portion of fried shrimp and fried oysters that were just perfect. The crab cake sandwich was a much larger portion and equally tasty. The food is a little pricey, but the quality and portion sizes justify it. Overall we were very happy with the experience. Wicked garbage. The grouper entree is frozen grouper. It's tough and nasty with a horrible sauce that doesn't go with the fish. Grouper is my favorite dish, and I couldn't eat more than a couple bites. Sushi is poorly made and not fresh at all. It falls apart immediately and is not made with the correct rice. She crab soup is also terrible. It's mostly cheese based and most of "crab" is immigration crab meat. There is some real crab, but not much. Crab cake is very expensive, and horribly dry. My boyfriend and I visited here on our vacation. I was really excited to try eat on the pier, with a view. We had visited the pier earlier that day to take a walk and acquire about fishing on the pier and saw the restaurant. I'm giving 3 stars because I was only half (maybe not even) way satisfied with my experience. First things first is we looked up the menu previously and they advertised happy hour. With half priced drinks, appetizers and sushi. I'm a big sushi person so that was the main reason for our visit with also the talk of trying some of their cheap drinks. When we got there the staff was friendly and seated us in a great table with a view of the pier. It was so exciting. But then we got our menus and couldn't find the happy hour menu/prices that were advertised and when we asked the waiter about it; come to find out happy hour is only allowed if you sit at the bar (which is confusing, why isn't it the whole restaurant?) so we had to move to the bar and lose our nice table/view because we wanted the happy hour prices (we are not local and it was a new place we were trying) The second thing that we didn't like was they had live music (a guy playing his guitar and singing on a microphone) and he was directly behind us. It was so loud we couldn't even have conversation with each other and we could barley hear our waitress when she spoke to us from behind the bar. We had questions because we had never been there and it just became such a hassle we kinda gave up. It was terrible how loud it was. And lastly, my sushi was not very good either. It was extremely spicy. So spicy I couldn't even finish it. It didn't say it was spicy either. I'm not a big fan of spicy, so I usually order things that are not. Overall it's such a nice place. Really clean, and the people are friendly. And if you're willing to pay the higher prices for the food the view is AMAZING. But I personally will probably not be back unless it's a night where there is no live music. read more

I was in MB on a mini vacation and had to try this restaurant out. I stopped in on 11-27-2022, a quiet Sunday afternoon. I had it on my list because it was recommended to me by two others who had visited the area. Being the off-season, the crowd was very light. I had my choice of seats. I took a view of the water which was nice and was a beautiful view of the beach. My server was "Lauren H" who was very pleasant. I ordered the blackened grouper (2 filets) which turned out to be a perfect size; sweet tea with plenty of refills; excellent size salad which was also a good portion. The restaurant was clean and had two big-screen televisions. I can see myself coming back again during the season, but I would definitely make a reservation as I can see the place could be packed! The one issue that I had was that there was an "operations fee" which was not disclosed to me in advance AND the explanation was kind of weak. Just raise the prices instead of adding on miscellaneous fees which can be annoying!! Also, when calculating the TIP, don't base the amount on the Total Bill which includes Taxes, but doesn't include any Discounts. I do the math!! read more

Absolutely terrible service, and even called the cops on my family and I because I had an issue with the automatic 20% gratuity. I took my family of 5 to dinner here and they were saying they were adding a 20% fee because we were a "Party." I told them I was not okay with that and while talking to the manager, another assistant manager, Christy, called the cops. I never said anything about not paying my bill and the GM apologized for the assistant manager. I want to give it less than 5, but it's new, and they have growing pains. Took forever to get a waitress, not sure if no one was assigned to our table, it just did. But the hostess was on top of it, she was. The waitress sadly had her tables on the other side of the restaurant, so she deserved some slack and credit too given the circumstances. And one bartender. Jesus, in Myrtle, that place, one bartender isn't enough. She was working her tail off. I wanted ocean front, but they weren't available. And I knew in advance that the tables lined up with the seam of the windows. So ocean front is actually windowsill front. They are getting high tops for the ocean front seats soon. We had a two person high top and it was perfect. I took the 3 pictures from my chair. Sushi and jumbo shrimp cocktail was darn good. Very, very good. And the drinks, wife's pineapple ones($11), in them cups, very good she said, and they had alcohol in them. I had their Long Islands with the extra juice in them, darn good. One gets ya feeling pretty good. And I like my Jack. They are $17, but I feel they are comparable to two regular sized drinks. But I was driving, so one was it, watch fireworks, lose my buzz, then go. Had no idea there was fireworks, but they were very good. Outta PA, possibly tied in with Zambelli, but didn't have their name. May return before we leave, their sushi and drinks were that good. We did go back with our kids Thursday night. Wife and I had the Murrells Inlet frozen drinks, very umm good, and 3 sushi rolls. Cherry Blossom, lobster, and I can't remember. Very good, and better service, she was very good.
