She figured out my real needs and showed me all the options. We eventually settled on a Weber option that gave me everything I needed at a lower price point. It was delivered set up and ready to go with full tutorial--they even took my old tank of a grill. I can't recommend Mary and her team enough!

Thank goodness for the experts at The Bar-B-Que Barn - they saved our BBQ this weekend!…read more I have an extremely old Skyline Series Weber grill, and when we ran out of propane the new tank didn't fit the hose on the grill. A trip to Home Depot yielded an adaptor that didn't fit, and with 3 hours till BBQ time, I was getting desperate. I called The Bar-B-Que Barn and spoke with one of the guys there, and when I described the problem he knew exactly what I was talking about and how to fix it. I ran over to their store in Arlington and in five minutes he had produce the piece that I needed to convert the hose on my old grill into one that would fit a standard propane tank, and even put some sealant on the piece so it wouldn't leak when I installed it. He gave me a quick tutorial on how to perform the minor surgery needed to install the new piece and told me to invest in a 9/16ths wrench and I was on my way. After arriving home, I was able to fix the grill in less than five minutes, and thanks to The Bar-B-Que Barn, when 20 guests showed up for dinner the grill was cookin'! If you live in Arlington, Cambridge, Somerville, or anywhere in the surroudning area, I highly reccomend a trip to The Bar-B-Que Barn to fill or exchange your propane tank or stock up on grill accessories! They might even offer you a hot dog fresh off the grill while you are there :)

Patty Silvester is awesome. She has been impressively responsive throughout our shopping experiences. Sent a customer to pick out pavers... he walked out with an almost brand new outdoor kitchen!!! (Although, his wife's eyes looked like they could shoot lasers ha!) that is... until he told her he got EVERYTHING, the grill, mini fridge, cabinetry etc all for $4k!!! (When retail, was about $11k!!) The pavers were great too. And BYL even delivered them down the narrow south end alleyway between abutting brownstones which was rediculously stressful. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. We couldn't even get pick up trucks down there! They brought a forklift on the back of the delivery truck, zipped right down and dropped the pallet EXACTLY where we needed it!!!! Needless to say, very pleased with our experience. Now, had the 2 previous reviewers had more patience, maybe they wouldn't have spent $20-30k on materials but half that AND SCORED SOME! Oh well, their loss - Our gain! We have since gone on to work with BYL for 4 projects. We have gotten to know the team very well. They are responsive to email, pay attention to detail to make sure that nothing is overlooked and when it comes to renovations-- man, even the smallest detail overlooked can have consequences of EPIC proportions. John left a voicemail stating I could go an pick up my stove at another store or wait another week for it to arrive in Norwood....... "But," he offered, "you can use the $180 toward the purchase of a new model." Instead of doing that, I watched a single youtube video about fridge repair, then bent down to look for the part of the fridge that was making the obviously broken-sounding high pitched whine, then googled its part number and bought a new one for $45. That fixed it, instantly. I didn't even need a screw driver. So their business model, it seems, is to half-ass the repair in order to lock you in, and then they sell you a new one for much more money than you'd pay elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if they then refurbish your old one and sell it on the side.
