Nice green space for kids and pets to run around and is nestled in a small neighborhood.

My loved ones love coming to Olive Hills for the tennis courts and pickleball courts. They are spacious and clean all the time. People are always helpful and respectful when waiting for the courts. We love this local gem!

Wanted to try this park because it has such great reviews. Went in the morning and was surprised to…read moresee so many dogs, yay! That was my initial response. It's just me and my small(15 lbs) dog. He's extremely chill, friendly, and we've never had any problems at any other dog parks. When we tried to get in, there was a dog barking and sniffing at the gate where you walk in. She didn't seem too aggressive but I didn't want her to get out, so I waited for the owner. The owner came over and called her name, got them away enough so I could open the gate and walk in. I was kinda distracted and starting to take my dog's leash off when the other dog lunged, barked, and snapped at my dog immediately after we entered. My dog was whining and scared, I had to pick him up physically and bring him more into the park because there were so many dogs surrounding us and no one was stepping in. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt so I decided to stay. The woman left right after and she talked with a gentleman on the outside of the gate. I heard her say something like "I'm always worried about new dogs coming in" and "She can sense my stress" implying her dog has reactivity issues. And she was expecting something to happen but didn't physically pick up her dog. It's an off-leash public park so dogs should ideally be comfortable with new arrivals. My dog was chill and friendly the rest of the time, but I followed him because I felt the other owners being very inconsiderate. Then another dog consistently followed my dog and tried to hump him and I kept having to get in the middle. This dog was significantly bigger than mine and I could tell my dog was uncomfortable but the owner sat on the bench and did nothing. This was honestly when I grew too frustrated and decided to leave. I also noticed a large dog jump over the fence into the parking lot while I was there. The park itself is clean and spacious, but supervision and owner awareness seemed inconsistent during my visit. I may return at a quieter time, but small-dog owners may want to stay especially alert.

I absolutely love this place! It's great for a walk, run, quiet time for reflection, bird watching,…read moreand more. I have seen so many varieties of birds, including a bald eagle and a turkey vulture. There's a lot of sea life as well, including jellyfish, stingray, hermit crab and fish to see depending on the day and time of year. They also offer learning and volunteer opportunities. I have volunteered with my daughter which was a great experience to learn more about the reserve and what makes birds stop and rest there. There are two areas for parking as well as clean restrooms near one of the parking areas. Be careful though, my car has gotten broken into once. So, make sure not to leave any items in the car that look tempting. Wildlife is abundant, you may see snakes, and coyote, but they mostly keep to themselves, so don't let it stop you! If you haven't been and you are a nature, lover or bird watcher, it's well worth it!
