It makes me appreciate Wienerschnitzel's originality, authenticity and consistency even more. This Cathedral City location is a great example of what a store should be. Service was bad they rushed us at the speaker with no one behind or ahead of us. We're rude when we asked for a minute. When at pay window we were never asked to have a receipt and just left the window and when they came back to window to hand our food they shut the window immediately not asking if we needed anything else or a chance for us to ask for our receipt. read more

Hot dogs are very good. Wienerschnitzel was founded on great hot dogs with lots of options (chili, cheese, etc!) at a very fair price. Oreo shakes are outstanding -- among the very best of all fast-food places. However, the burgers and fries disappoint. Although the online pictures look delicious, both are soggy and tasteless. Wienerschnitzel should remember that most diners today judge a fast-food outlet not by its best dish but its worst. I plan to retry Wienerschnitzel soon and will update my review. Drive thru employee was friendly, patient, and got the order correct as well as read it back to us... Food was quick, hot and fresh... Outside was clean and well maintained. This is an inexpensive place to eat, with pretty good fries and quite good wieners and hot dogs. The chili in the chili dogs was only so so. We ate there twice while visiting the Cathedral City area. The staff were friendly and the place appeared to be clean. The service was a little slow the first time as there was only one guy trying to service both the drive through and the counter, but it was not a huge issue. This is not supposed to be a fine dining experience but was an average fast food place with a little different menu than just a burger joint. The food is exceptionally good . This happened as the sun was going down . I am a mother of 2 and I have a few concerns . When I was parking I noticed a sketchy man walking and little did I know he sat in the parking lot and was watching me as I took my kids out of my car and kept staring at me as I walked I to the restaurant with my kids . Wifie and I stopped by Wienerschnitzel/Tastee Freeze for a treat before going to Candy Cane Lane. We pulled into the drive-through lane behind another car, which sat there immobile for like 5 minutes. We backed out, parked, and went inside. Had the kraut and Chicago on pretzel. They charged like .70 cents more for the pretzel bun. It was good, but spending an extra $1.50 for pretzel buns is kinda high. Good hot dog but I have had the same dogs at Sonic Drive Inns and they taste the same to me for the same price.
