The guy was so abrupt. I think he was having a Bad day. He's been nice before but after today I won't be back.

It was close to end of day so I was quick to browse the offerings before placing my sandwich order. Ended up getting a Caprese and Parma on focaccia. The staff seemed preoccupied with Cleaning but did their best to get my sandwich order out fast. I've heard nothing but good things about this place but this is my first time. I asked the lady behind the counter for a popular favorite recommendation and she seemed confused and just said everything was good. Two sandwiches around $40 so I was hoping for something great. Unfortunately we agreed that the taste was good, but nothing amazing and probably not what we were expecting for the price. Everything fell just a little bit flat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. I ended up drizzling balsamic vinegar on the Caprese at home since they only put olive oil and a little bit of pesto on the bread and the whole thing just felt lacking ever so slightly. The shop itself was clean and well kept and had a lot to offer so I still recommend stopping by and browsing for Italian goodies. Just not my favorite sandwich spot. Maybe we will try something else another day or just stick to the pasta!

Arancini had meat, and peas inside and came with marinara dipping sauce. It was pretty good but I just wasn't a huge fan. It was made more Sicilian style. Macaroni salad was good. Although the sandwiches are really really the hit! I drive an hour and a half to eat here. Their focaccia bread is the softest well flavored bread I've ever eaten. And yes, i dream about it sometimes. Service was great and fast, everyone was friendly. Will be back!

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Hostess and waitress were both professional and friendly. Our husbands ordered the pastrami, one in the and the other on a Kaiser roll. I split a turkey Sammy with my friend and we also split a root bear float. The pastrami was very tender and tasty and not at all too salty. Rye bread was good but too much bread with the Kaiser roll. Turkey sandwich was very dry and nothing to wow about. They served us pickles at the beginning of the meal which was good. Got a piece of chocolate cake to go as well as their rice pudding. Great experience but sandwiches are not worth the price.

I especially enjoyed the #14 The House. It's a house-made chicken salad with nuts and cranberries and comes with sprouts, tomato, mayo, salt and pepper on Squaw Bread. The cranberries adds a mild sweetness which balances out the mayo and the nuts adds another layer of crunchy texture and flavor which I loved. If I were to be honest, I wasn't too crazy about their bread. On both sandwiches, it was soft which was good, yet at the same time, just a bit stale. While the sandwiches initially seemed loaded, most of the ingredients are right in the middle of the sandwich where they slice it in half, so while it's very visually appealing, there's basically a ring near the crust of the bread that didn't have much toppings. As far as the Love The Club sandwich. I think they are a bit heavy handed with the salt. The sandwich was too salty. At $33 for two sandwiches, it's also a tad bit pricey. Overall good experience and will be back to try more !

Portions are generous, food is fresh, Jewish specialties are properly prepared and taste great. The staff is very friendly, attentive and always accommodating to special requests. They did a remodel and moved the bakery to the other side of the space. In its place is a full service bar area. Noise level from the bar area typically isnt an issue for the adjacent dining area, but during some TV sports events, patrons in the bar can get very noisy and it is disruptive to diners. I only experienced this during dinner hour on a Sunday. Despite the bar area topic, I still highly recommend a visit here.

I didn't want to stop but apparently, my family forgot how slow it was the day before (when we didn't have a rush for anything) - but definitely saw it the 2nd day. It is clean and spacious. Lots to look at decoration wise. The customer service was very nice. We were greeted immediately upon entering and said goodbye to while leaving. We all tried something. Different both days, but within the breakfast realm. And they do have a lot of delicious treats we bought both days to share. I'd definitely recommend here, just know you'll be there for a bit.
