This place is one of my weaknesses. You can't go wrong with a corn dog well done, a mustard dog, and chili cheese fries. Last time, they forgot my chopped onions I wanted in the mustard dog. You can sometimes overlook the over or under cooked food when service is great. In this case, the food was just OK and the service was horrible. I was charged for items I didn't order. When I brought it to their attention, I was told not to worry about it, they will give me the items I never ordered. My response: I only want to be charged for what I ordered. After ten minutes of going around and around, my money was refunded. There's no manager on site, and the place is basically a zoo. I remember the day when I'd order a mustard dog and it would be so dang packed with mustard that I could dip my corn dog in it! Every time someone had a BBQ in the Midwest they threw in Franks on the corner of the grill. Even during the County Fair's, hot dogs were popular items. Coming to California, Hot dogs were items I did not miss eating, for some reason. I went to the Wienerschnitzel on South St. in Cerritos once and to this location on Imperial couple of times in the past decade. Since we wanted Ian to try out all kinds of food, we stopped by here recently. We got a mini corn dogs meal w/ Fries and a small soda. Total was $5.41. Pros: Fast service. Looks like good deals everyday of the week. Cons: Too salty. The mini corn dogs were not golden brown out of the frier. They were dark brown, extra crispy fried. I come here for my son and the fries. Dang, those fries are good. I downloaded the stupid App to get points towards free stuff and the counter person in the drive through looks at me like she's never seen it before. This Wienerschnitzel is the best! A lot of locations are giving less of everything but increase their prices. This location was not stingy with the fries or cheese on the chili cheese fries. The chili dog had a decent amount of chili as well. The fries and corn dogs were super fresh and hot! It's too bad that they closed their dining room doors during COVID. I saw some people walk up only to find their doors locked and left. They didn't even bother going through the drive thru. They just lost some walk in business. What about people who don't have cars? First, I was surprised that it had mayo on it. I have had street dogs before but never with mayo. The mayo was way too sweet and distracting. The bacon was not crispy at all. It was soggy and fatty. I walk to this wienerschnitzel sometimes. I like that they distribute the coupons often. Coupons come very handy. This is a small store,( i dont know of wienerschitzels are usually this small), but i really like the atmosphere. It is small, quiet and cozy and the store always plays old songs that makes me feel comfy and welcome, even if im the only customer eating here. I really like their corn dogs and chili dogs and the old fashioned sundae. Corn dogs are so crunchy and yummy. The store is very clean. Plenty of parking space since there is walmart right next door. I like wienerschnitzel, but i like this particular one. This is my happy go-to place for me when i want to enjoy being alone with affordable corndogs. read more
