I'd been craving a chili dog for a while and they did not disappoint! The hot dog was huge and loaded with chili and cheese. I couldn't even finish it and took the rest home for a snack. My son also had the chili dog but he got the combo meal that came with chips and a drink. Bonus for me-Coke products! If you love a good hot dog, this is the place for you! The young man who waited on us was super sweet and friendly and we chatted while he put together our order. We chose to sit outside on their deck because the weather was nice. I'm going to take advantage of all this outdoor seating before the weather turns blistering hot! Bottom line-great location, food and service. Definitely a wiener, I mean winner! HA

PROS: - As stated above, they still make a good old- fashioned hot dogs. Using fresh ingredients, right there in front of the customer. - Actually, the restaurant interior decor hasn't really changed that much over the years. Great nostalgia! CONS: - The hot dogs are not the same as it was in the past. Back then, the buns, hot dogs, tomatoes, onions were all bigger. As a result, the overall flavor was different as well. I understand that it's tough to keep prices as low as possible during an era of inflation, but it's not the same as it used to be. CONCLUSION: The place has been there for what, 50 years? That makes it a historical Stockton institution. (Just look at some of the pictures posted on the restaurant's wall) So, if you want an old-school hot dog, enjoying your meal at a place that has old-school history, this is STILL the place to come to.

I decided to get the large Fruity Pebbles milkshake, blended with Vanilla Ice Cream. This specific cereal was a classic choice and one of my favorites in my childhood. The actual milkshake was so good! Not only was it beyond delicious, but it also brought back so many nostalgic memories of being a kid. The restaurant's interior had a cozy, inviting feel. Many tables and chairs were available for comfortable seating. There was a wall decorated with a bunch of cool stickers, too. The service was pleasant. The milkshake was prepared fairly quickly. From what I could see, there appeared to be only two people working - at the counter and one in the back and at one point I could hear a baby crying from the production area, which added to the confusion and concern about what was going on behind the scenes. I want to be clear: the product itself is excellent. The donuts are fresh, unique, and delicious. I have no complaints about the quality of the food at all. It's still the same building at the corner of Waterloo and N. Filbert st. and they have their own parking, which makes it easy to stop in. The chalkboard menu has been replaced with a digital menu, but all the old favorites are still available. Really, not much else has changed. They offer all day breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, additional sandwiches and some delicious fried options including multiple options of fries. They're also known for their milkshakes. The team here greeted us right away and gave us time to look over the menu and snap some photos before we placed our order. On this visit we ordered a small Rocky Road milkshake ($7.75) and a small is still a generous sized milkshake. I split it with my friend and it was plenty for both of us. One thing that makes their shakes special is that they blend them into a thick shake, but add an extra scoop of ice cream on top. This way it's nice and cold and you can scoop it or let it melt as you drink from the bottom of the shake and the thick consistency lasts longer. Stopping in reminded me why we love this spot and that I need to visit more often- especially for a full meal so I can enjoy their burgers again.
