First time to give this place a try. Owner explained everything on the menu. It was difficult to decide what to try as everything sounded good. Started with the fresh warm Strube Pretzel with crispy bacon beer cheese & mustard - yum! Wife loves cucumbers so the Serbian Salad was her choice. She loved it. I had the Jager Schnitzel. Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Glenwood from Aspen and I'm glad we did! Tables were spaced out accordingly and all staff maintained mask protocol. Just as important, the good was great. I'd include a photo, but I ate it too quickly. Very great staff to boot! read more

One thing may sum it all up: when we got the bill one item was listed as "chnitzel". If a German restaurant can't even spell this common dish right, what can it do right? For us it wasn't much right. One plate came with the kasespatzle we ordered, the other exact same order did not. The second one did come with the lingonberry sauce per the menu, the first did not. Both were corrected when we asked, but no apology. Both wiener schnitzels were very overdone and tough. Well, I guess the beer and salad were OK! When we got the check it was for another table with a completely different order. Again it was corrected when noted but no apology. BTW, this all was when there were very few guests in the place, so the problems were not due to it being busy. read more

Went for brunch. Waited forever to just get the waiter's attention. Service was truly bad. Food, though, was fine. They are known for their eggs Benedict - it's really hard to screw up eggs benedict. Excellent authentic Austrian food. Very comparable to a beloved meal in Passau, Germany recently. Husband had jaegerschnitzel and I had the sausage plate. Great selection of beers and a huge thick, soft pretzel for an app. We were also impressed with two servers that were hustling and serving very professionally for a large number of patrons. Very skilled, friendly and punctual service. Wednesday special is 50% off all beers and schnitzels so we gave it a try. Just a minutes walk from our hotel in this nice, commercial area near the quaint Basalt/Willett CO residential area. Nice park to walk off this delicious food close by also. read more

July and September - each time had a Jägerschnitzel - meal tasted different and looks different and went from finger linking to "I guess drinks only" - unfortunately most items on menu are "Americanized" Austrian/European versions and don't bring back memories. I waited a long time before trying the new Stube. I'm not sure why I waited so long, it is excellent! I am especially impressed with the Yager sauce Schnitzel and yummy cheesy Spaetzle. We went for again for brunch and I was duly impressed! Great service, wonderful food & excellent beers!! I'm not even a beer drinker, but I tried the Pilsner and it was amazing. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman with a great smile. Adi was attentive and assisted us with our wine choices for my Fiancé's birthday dinner. We had jager schnitzel with kaese spaetzle. Outstanding. We also shared a chicken schnitzel served with lingonberry sauce and lemon, also delicious. When our server, Adi found that it was a birthday occasion, he brought a delectable, hearty portion of in house made apple strudel. It was warm and flaky containing apples, walnuts and sultanas served with a drizzle of caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! The food is great. I feel like (as far a taste and quality go) you can't go wrong with this menu. While the staff is usually very friendly (I did have one bad experience), the service is painfully slow. We all of course need to cut everyone way more slack during covid, and I understand that well. I have been here a lot though the past few months, and a few times I felt like there wasn't much of an excuse. This last time I was there - there were only two occupied tables with two servers and a bar tender. It took way too long to get our order in, and just under 30 minutes for our food to come out. In other words (as someone who had been in here a lot), I find the service to be consistently slow. read more

Had my first experience at Wienerstube for a late morning brunch. The environment was lovely and bright, the staff was so welcoming and nice to interact with. My one critique would be the food- I ordered the corn beef skillet and it did not have any flavor, and the poach eggs were overcooked and spongy. I have heard good reviews about the lunch there so I would like to try again, but I would love to see some changes with the breakfast menu. Flavor please. read more

I really love this place! Food is amazing, the service sometimes is slow but the food is worth the wait. I was a little disappointed today, I called 10 minutes before getting there, to make sure if the patio was open and if they accepted dogs on the patio. They said that they would help us with that, but once we got to the restaurant they told us that they only open the patio during dinner even though they said they would open the patio for us during lunch. I was in town for a wedding this past weekend and staying at the elements hotel 100 yards away and my buddy and I decided to go here for lunch, as it was so close to the hotel. What a fantastic choice we made. First, their beer selection is nothing shy of fantastic, with their offerings coming in either a half liter or a full liter. (Went full liter) My beer was crisp and delicious. Next my entree were the wings, which were great as well. Grilled and perfectly seasoned, and anytime you can suck the meat off the bone of a wing, you know you are in heaven. My buddy ordered the chicken schnitzel and said it was epic. The chicken cutlet was the size of the plate, and the potatoes were smooth not lumpy. He took home the other half for a late night snack. read more
