    Octopus salad
    Stephanie L.

The food was okay. We ordered the bread. It was nothing special. They didn't even pour our olive oil and balsamic for us. We also ordered the shrimp linguine and octopus salad. The octopus and the potatoes were warm so it wilted the lettuce. The place was cute and the live music was a nice touch.

Wonderful experience, great food and friendly staff. I had the Rigatoni which was flavorful. It was a large portion so consider splitting this entree or get a take out box. Melanie was our server and was professional and courteous.

Ruined Canada Goose Jacket - Tomahawk Steak Juice Dropped on it by the server. Now the restaurant is ignoring us. Be aware!

highly do not recommend this place. server spilled tomahawk steak juice all over my canada goose jacket. then didn't even say anything. we noticed as we were leaving. the manager/owner ashley has not contacted me or my wife since we left. we have reached out multiple times. clearly ignoring us. the jacket cannot be dry cleaned and we have no solution. not fine dining in any way!

    Vegetarian pasta

Always been a good choice for pasta & pizza. Fine dining is available but we have not done that recently at il Poggio. Wonderful actively involved manager who complements the wait staff.

The food wasn't fresh was overcooked and under sauced. This used to be the gold standard in Snowmass village. Definitely fallen off.

We came with a group of 8 people. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable! Best meal we had in Snowmass.

Been coming here for years and it has significantly fallen off. 1.5 hour wait for the meal that was overpriced and underwhelming.

When does this place open for the summer season? The message on their answering machine just says "June", but it's June and they're still not opened.

We had the carpaccio, which was absolutely delicious in every way. We had a summer melon salad which had some amazing surprises and creative execution. I had the Fettuccine Bolognese which again was executed to perfection, the pasta was so delicious and tender, while the meat was so full of flavor. My husband had the Fusilli which was also fresh and light. They paired some nice wines for us and we had a lovely time. I know that it can be much busier but we enjoyed the more intimate atmosphere. I wish they had more proteins like veal and other fish dishes, but I would definetely come back here.

The staff was so kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing! We loved it so much that we came back again for dinner the next night. Everything we tried was exceptional -- truly authentic Italian flavors that made us feel like we were back in Italy. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive to every guest. We were so impressed to see how carefully they reset each table, even ironing the tablecloths after every group -- such a classy world elegance touch. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Aspen. L'eccellenza italiana in every boccone! Five stars all the way -- this place truly deserves a Michelin star.

For this restaurant, the find was almost like that. We (while enjoying our quick spa getaway in town coming from the greater Denver area) found this place after a disappointing experience with another similar restaurant nearby as it was closed for a private party that night. We were in a dire need of finding something alternative. As we were walking around town earlier that day, we did notice this place. After checking to make sure that it was truly open (not again, right?), we rushed there to fill our empty stomachs. The experience? It was quite good! Despite its unfortunate setting (downstairs in one of the buildings on the busy main street in town), what they can offer is worth the mention. Ambience?? Good! Fairly small restaurant but the layout is efficient where it can hold at least 50+ people when it's packed. The bar is the most ambient part of the restaurant where copper top was most fitting with chic looking lightings hanging from the ceilings. As long as the weather permits, seating in the patio is available. Three men collaborated to assist us for all of our needs during our fairly quick dinner. Time was barely 5pm. The night was still very young. Other diners eventually streamed in and it was at its 50% capacity by 5:50m. By the way, this experience was on a Thursday in mid-April of 2026. Here is what we got: -Justin Cabernet $15 per glass -Mediterra Super Tuscan $15 per glass (I had this one. Justin which my daughter had was better than mine in my opinion.) (The selection for wine by the glass is a bit small; they could easily add a few more to both the white and the red) -Starter bread (complimentary; later one of the men came to refill it by adding a few more slices. Excellent starter bread) -Mussels alla Crema (Cream based. They can make it with red sauce as well; $18) -Torretta de Malanzane (An eggplant burrata dish, $17) -Brassato (A gnocchi dish with braised short ribs, $30) All of the dishes were equal contenders where I simply couldn't pick one winning dish out of them. Each dish's meticulous presentation coupled with the overall seasonings, flavors and complex or perfected texture, their creative dishes are the core reason for their successful restaurant operations is what I gleaned while dining. We, unfortunately, skipped the dessert part as we saw an ice cream place several doors up the street from it earlier. We wanted to immerse ourselves in different dining experiences while our short stay in town so maybe next time we dine here again, we will indulge in their "decadent" dessert treats.

The clams were fine- it's the mountains, you can only expect so much- but if they don't make their pasta in-house then I need to know where they buy it, because it was the best linguine that I have ever had. Delicious, cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of al dente bite. Paired with an incredible sauce and it was an amazing dish. I also have to say that even though the restaurant was completely full and our server was also the host and seemed to be the server for the entire 18-20 tables, there was shockingly no delay. Courses were timed perfectly, no long wait, no rush of entrees showing up before apps were finished, drinks always full... I was extremely impressed at how the entire service ran.
