We went to 6 wineries on a weekend trip and the customer service at Wiens was by far the best. Our wine host "Sandy" (Sandie?) was attentive, fun, engaging, knowledgeable, and just plain enjoyable to talk with. The other wineries would just say "what do you want next?" "what do you want next?", but Sandy made it fun with her descriptions and knowledge. I love their wines! I'm getting married here in October 2014. My bridesmaids are not a fan of red wine however, they loved Wiens' Red Wine selection! I actually looked and didn't see him, (as to avoid him) We enjoyed the grounds here, and the wine tasting was nice, was helped by a very nice young man, who was down to earth, I even joined the wine club. This was a great tasting experience. This is one of the larger wineries and the tasting room is also a lovely gift shop. The wines are also very good. That being said, my favorite red was also the most expensive. But definitely worth a stop if you're in temecula. read more

This is a 3.5 star rounded up. The wine tasting is $15 which is a bit high even compared to Napa and other regions. They are known for their reds but I found them too pungent or dry. They only one I really liked, Crowded, was a blend. Their wine bottle prices were average for the area. The bottle of Crowded set me back $39. The staff wasn't entirely welcoming, but our server Erika was. She took the time to listen to what we preferred and offered a few additional suggestions/tastes. Coincidentally, we walked out with a bottle of each of her additional selections. Great service and a great experience (especially after we visited Doffo, I appreciated how well we were treated here.). Get here early if coming on a weekend as this place gets busy! read more

The tasting room was kind of cute... we stood at one of the high top tables in the center of the room so we could be by ourselves... bad idea cuz no one came over... so we moved to where everyone else was and a very nice girl helped us out and we tried a few good whites, we even took home one... the girl was semi-knowledgeable and nice but no the amazing person who can talk to u about wines and have fun with you like some great small wineries do... I love this winery! It is definitely on my top list for wineries in Temecula. Let me also say that I have previously worked at two wineries in Temecula (one of them NOT being Wiens) so I have been to my fair share of wineries. So in my opinion Wiens has the best reds in comparison to other wineries in the area. I also found the staff to be very nice and helpful. My advise is that if you like reds and you are visiting the Temecula wine country, you should definitely go to Wiens. read more

Nice little stop to be at between San Diego and Phoenix. Their reds are very good....my recommendation is the syrah and Cabernet.

Came in for a wine tasting. The wines were pretty decent. I am not so much of a fan of sweet wines. Alot of their wines seemed pretty sweet. I tasted one of the "drier' style wines and I told the lady when she asked how was it that it tasted similar to a Riesling and she was shocked. (we later found out it was her first day as well) but their wines tasted sweet for the most part. And their sweet wines tasted like liquid candy. Not really into that but some are. read more

Very cute place. A smaller winery compared to others but it's a great place to stop by. Would recommend if you want to get away from huge groups at other wineries. A good selection of wines, my favorite was a dessert wine called the dulce maria. They have great outdoor seating if you want to buy a bottle and relax outside. I saw a bridal party that brought a cooler with them and their own snacks just hanging out outside which was interesting, haha. So far Wiens is my favorite vineyard. I really love how friendly the staff is and the wine tasting room is so beautiful and comfortable! During the summer they have misters outside to keep guests cool in the 90+ degree weather. Inside the wine tasting room there is a big glass window that has views of the barrel room. It's really beautiful. The only downfall is the tasting room is pretty small so you might have to wait around for a bartender to get to you. It's $15 to taste 6 and you get to keep the glass. Wiens was one of the first wineries we had tried in Temecula after moving here. After trying everything, their Mourvedre is one of the best I had ever tried. Their establishment is very welcoming, clean, and their staff was very friendly and eager to take care of us. Just went to Wiens Family Cellars for an intimate wedding (about 50 people). It was an enchanting night all the way around. The setting was premier even though it was a cold night. They did have problem in the beginning because they didn't have any of the heaters turned on even though it was very cold (we had to ask them to turn them on) The wine was delicious. The atmosphere was so beautiful. We had the wedding reception in the barrel room which was one of the most charming rooms I've ever seen for a wedding. The dinner was rib eye steak or pork tenderloins and both were beautifully presented. The salad was a wedge salad and it was delicious (avocado, bacon and blue cheese). There was sorbet between courses. Great spot--highly recommend. The room for the live band was off of the barrel room and had a fireplace and bar. The ambiance was perfect.
